    📊 WHAT IS POWER BI?
Power BI is a business analytics tool by Microsoft. It creates a working environment suited for normal users, meaning tasks such as data extraction, cleansing, analysis and storytelling; these are made easily-accessible to citizen-users, and extendable for technical users. At face value it provides visually-stunning, interactive dashboards, but it’s built on top of so much more.

Thanks for sharing Fernan. Question: in the last section of the video you showed the server URL. Do you know if it is possible to create records or update records using an external tool such as Power Automate or Power Apps? I heard from a colleague it is not possible.

Can i just ask whether it’s really an issue if one can’t create dax columns but it still allows you to add custom columns directly to the tables?

need to calculate the rental days
    So for example
If I have a rent start date of 15th April I want to be able to select a Month filter to get the days on rent
So if I select April I’ll get 15 days (end April - 15th April)
If I select May I should get 31 days (End May - Start May)
If the rental end date is June 15th then if I select June I should get 15 days
If I select July I’ll get 0 because the item is off rent
I tried to create a date table and a measure to calculate but no luck

Could you create a demo step by step on creating data mart and using data mart?

Around the 3min mark you mentioned that a user of a shared dataset can't create measures, this isn't true. They can create new measures using a shared dataset but they'll live in the report and not impact the model itself. We use this practice a lot, we create "standardized measures" on our shared datasets that all our developers can use but they still have the ability to create new measures if they need.
