    Brilliant project especially in the theme of 'The Great Escape!'
    But surely you should get rid of the spoil by little bags hidden inside the bottom of your trousers and opened by an arrangement of string and pins, while walking around your garden, discretely dumping it?
    Plus shoring up the tunnel with off cuts of wood from around your home, floorboards, bed bases etc would be more 'authentic'? 😊

      @@Tornado_Dave nah, you're just having fun and doing it the most common sense way possible. I love the sheet metal parts though. People really underestimate how bolted sheet parts become ridiculously strong (and reliable).

    I'm wondering how you address adding fresh air and venting stale air? I'm hoping someone on the team is familiar with working in confined spaces, particularly with soil loading on walls and roofs.
    I've never watched your videos before this project, but I'm curious to see how it goes.

    A hammer drill, with an sds spade/shovel bit is perfect for carving small tunnels.

    • @Tornado_Dave
      @Tornado_Dave  Před 5 měsíci

      Yes I was going to do it that way but wanted to load the tubs quickly so think this will be good to get the bulk of the soil out when its finished

    Conveyor belt back to a chain bucket hoist operation to automatically carry the dirt to the top and dump it out would be so efficient!

    I would say buy another auger setup. Then weld 2 or 3 auger bits together. The make shute that funnels the dirt between your legs directly in to a bucket/ basket. All the other guy has to do is make sure to swap baskets in time not to spill any dirt.

      @@Tornado_Dave lol.
      I was referring to the old days were it was the safest place to build a base from mobs early game.
      But hell.
      I've seen ancient pictures of hidden real world rooms and stores in wells, back in the 1990's. So cool
      Sadly most would simply be filled in an lost for ever
