Thanks for a brilliant “men in sheds” type film. If only the poor blighters in WW2 had this kit in the Great Escape. Dave, PLEASE stay safe. Am looking forward to episode 3. Now off to buy the DVD from “The Great Escape”. Cheers, Russ 🙂.
Russ, glad you like it, comments like this are what keeps me going, part 3 is coming on well, will have to watch the film myself again to get the details right 😂
Like many others I came here from Colin, and I am deeply impressed. I like your ingenuity (that mini Landrover is amazing with good towing capacity) and your son is a really good winch operator. A chip of the old Block! A fine tribute to "The Great Escape" indeed. Keep it up!
I found your channel about an hour ago and can’t wait for the updates. Love your ingenuity and fabrication skills. You have me whistling the movie theme song now 🙂
Im totally loving your tunnel expansion joints. Great work on the fabrication of those. Thanks for showing off the great bending machine. (And the plazma cutter in part two for all the winch parts) That auger looks great.
Hey buddy, I saw your video and thought it was totally awesome. I only knew about Colin Furze's tunnel project before, but now that I've seen yours, I'm just blown away. Keep up the great work. Go for it. And, um, yeah. I really hope you'll definitely manage to finish your project. 🎉
Thanks for the nice comment, hopefully the channel will continue to get found and will grow. I will finish the tunnel, monthly videos for now on the tunnel project plus other projects in between 😀
All praise the algowhatsit for suggesting I might like this video. I skipped back to Part One first to get caught up, watched this one, ended up hitting the Subscribe button even before this one had finished. I'll be going back to watch your previous bunker-related videos shortly, and possibly then your other stuff too.
Thanks for that😀 and good idea to watch part 1 first, that video did get the big push this one did. Tunnel videos monthly and other projects 2 weeks after

Rrally cool. Idea for the future. For longer tunneling a small suction excavation could usefull. Like 3-5 industrial vcsumcleaners and a cyclonfilter. Cheers!

A hammer drill, with an sds spade/shovel bit is perfect for carving small tunnels.
Yes I was going to do it that way but wanted to load the tubs quickly so think this will be good to get the bulk of the soil out when its finished
Conveyor belt back to a chain bucket hoist operation to automatically carry the dirt to the top and dump it out would be so efficient!
