Seeing an SD40 pull a few very old cars like that wasn’t as weird as I thought it’d be. What is weird however is seeing something like an old Dash 9 doing yard or hump work, at least just from BNSF I’ve seen so far. But hey an SD40 is an SD40, it can do just about everything and can be rebuilt infinitely lol. Almost forgot; what do you think of the recently revealed CPKC 9375? The first unit in the CPKC livery.
Yeah for sure! Was definitely weird but you can't go wrong with an SD40! As for the merger paint scheme, I absolutely despise it, it is absolutely awful, the whole branding is, LOL.
As many debating on PDC 3 out of commission for its FRA mandated 1472 day inspection when a GP9 along with a SD40-2 now taking over pulling heavyweight passenger cars while many believe PDC 3 would be back in action for the 2025 season.

It's boiler certification expired, so it'll be out of service for repairs for the 2024 season.

Yep, that's it! It'll be back hopefully by next year or so.
