I’m a 75 year old lady. I watch Marks channel everyday. I have come to understand people in a much deeper way. I have empathy for people that I could not understand two years ago. Johnny is one of my favorites. Thank you Johnny for sharing you story. You have a beautiful gift of word. I love you and will continue to pray for you. You are awesome.

As I binge these videos I get a strong feeling of a man who has been in a lifestyle that forbids the expression of feelings, regrets, deep down hidden parts of life that, after given a platform and an opportunity, are EXPLODING!!! to the surface at the age of 50. Johnny dosent need to be prompted by Mark because everything that comes spilling out has been destroying him, eating away year after year. It has to come out at this point because it's pure survival. This man is undergoing therapy, he feels the need to purge the decades of negativity, horror and violence on a scale most people could never phathom. Respect!!! A beautiful soul, I hope it's next incarnation can exist in peace.

This is so true. After i quit heroin my love of music is gone. I cant listen to music anymore. I mean i can but it will never sound as good as when i was high. If i hear a song i like all i can think about is how much nicer it would be with heroin or pills. Then i start to crave it and then i'm in a bad mood. So i just stay away from it most of the time. I listen to a lot of podcasts and sports radio now. Keeps my mind busy.

That’s crazy…..That literally makes 0 sense for you… Johnny is saying his senses(like everyone else’s) become dull or nonexistent when they’re high. That’s the whole point of heroin , to numb the pain of living day to day, so you don’t feel anything .
Unfortunately it numbs everything else , like sense of smell , happiness , music , nostalgia etc .
In other words …. Everyone that does heroin knows what he’s saying and what I’m saying , that smell of flowers doesn’t bring him nostalgia . I’m the same way with music , when I got clean music was SO different it would literally make me emotional how nostalgic music could make me feel and how amazing it would be . It’s felt like I was listening to music for the first time ever.
It’s pretty crazy that you say your love of music was gone when you sobered up , it’s literally insane that you loved music only when you were high, it’s the legit opposite of what 99% of addicts feel! I guess everyone’s different and it hits everyone different , you just so happen to be the massive minority

Talk you out of getting help.

They got my generation later in the 90s, with the oxy pill dumping. They pulled it about 10 years later, and then people were stuck turning to dope.
