    Great video but one thing I noticed is that the string around the PVC goes all the way down into the soil to the bottom of the pot. Won't that essentially make this a self-watering pot that keeps the soil constantly moist and not allow the soil to dry out between watering (which monsteras prefer)?

      Great point @GWhite1001 - I think you would be right about this fact. Personally, I haven't had any issues with the rope keeping the soil too wet - but that being said, I do live in an area with low humidity (Aus), so I think the moss probably evaporates and absorbs most of the moisture BEFORE it reaches the soil. I think on my next moss pole, I'll take your suggestion on board and stop where the moss is. Thanks for contributing your thoughts on this :)
