Can any device play in 8k?
This video is pretty much unwatchable on my TV.... Is there a way to have the default viewing perspective be where the rider is looking?
I love new formats but I think some tweaking might be required before this becomes a standard for MTB videos

Well this 360 crap is unwatchable.
I stopped watching after a minute on my computer with the constant whipping around and never knowing where I was looking. Would probably be awesome on a VR headset.

i just put the camera facing him and it would just move on its own facing the trail and him back and forth and it was fun to watch, my jaw dropped when i realized i could move the angle
I cast from my phone to the TV too and yeah. It's just locked on to the worst angle imaginable. Whatever. I'll watch anything you upload, your vids are amazing.
intersting, but:
- quality of 360 videos is still poor
- hard to navigate (both desktop/mobile)
good direction for action cameras, but for now it's only an option.

After your 360 crankworx video I thought a POV(ish) ride would be cool to watch. So I’m super stoked you did it.
But it turns out, moving my phone around to follow you ends up being a lot of work. Not like riding down blue velvet or anything but more than I had planned to do when I sat down to veg on my couch for a bit 😅 I think this would make me feel queasy in VR.

Hate to crash the party but the viewing experience on a tv is really bad lol. Im sure youre contractually obligated to upload 360 videos but theres a reason this tech has been around for years and never got accepted.

I rode Blue Velvet at the start of July and it was already blown out and rough. I think that Garbo is more of an afterthought for trail maintenance.

So, wow! I chose to use my fingers on my iPad to look ahead down the trail as if I was riding it for real. Including into the corners and so on. Your editing occasionally wanted me to look somewhere else, so I was frantically pawing at the screen a few times. But the sense of immersion doing this added a great deal to the POV experience. Thanks and congrats on the viral views 🎉
I wish I could send a screen shot of how bad it is. Chasing it so I’m not looking a weird angles the whole time. And the resolution is like 240/24 on 5g full bars. Maybe it’s better in a 8k tv (who has those right now) but I’m not sure I could cast and move the screen anyways. Maybe it’s tolerable on my MacBook. But this one is a giant fail.

360 views are only good if you can lock the orientation, whether thsts by the viewer doing it or in post by you, but just letting this play in hopes of a good video is horrendous 😂. Not hating just there is nothing fun abiut it, well the cam location e is good, i can see you and a bunch of trail in one screen which is neat.

I can't stand these 360 videos. I end up looking at the wheels or the trees. Hopefully the next one is less "outside the box".
unwatchable... and on my 4k tv, the quality is so bad... but because it move all the time, totally unwatchable.
At first I was being dragged backwards down the run....then I listened to what you said and started dragging my mouse! Restarted and switched to 8K!!! WOW! This sets a new bench mark! Fantastic! Make many more for us! You are a very skilled rider man!
