Afaik he is very socially anxious and uses comedy and playing roles to mask, which is pretty common with socially awkward/anxious people. Source: am socially awkward and constantly anxious as hell. But from what I know he’s respected by everyone he’s worked with in the business, down to camera people, make-up people etc. definitely has solid work ethics too. As for his private life, I wouldn’t know and frankly I don’t know why anyone would care.
