1) Close grip tricep floor barbell presses with powerlifting chains or resistance bands 2) close grip tricep push-ups w/chains on back or resistance bands
1. You must have the mind/muscle connection. 2. Time under tension (Cable machines give you constant tension on the muscles as opposed to free weights). Eliminate exercises that give you minimal results...dumbbell kickbacks (Your tricep is only working for 30% of the movement). 3. Strict form. 4. Never focus on the number on the outside of the weight. 5. Majority of workouts...take to muscle failure. During one workout...Don't count sets or reps. Do how many works for you. Everyone is different. 3 to 4 sets going to 12reps may not be enough for you. Do 4 to 5 sets going to 15 reps. 6. Once a month Run The Rack: 5lbs(10reps), 10lbs(10reps), 15lbs(10reps), 20lbs(10reps), 25lbs(10reps)...no rest between sets. Then work your way back down, but start back with the 25lb. Do this for curls, side and front delt raises. For Triceps do rope extensions and pick 5 weights and do 10 each and go back down. 7. Listen to Gym Motivation Inspiration...Makaveli, CT Fletcher, Eric the HipHop Preacher. I watch the videos like CT Fletcher's I Command You To Grow, Magnificent Obsession, I Am The One...etc., then I rip the audio to my MP3. I have clips from Arnold, The Rock..etc. I watch the workout videos and when I listen to the audio in the gym, I visualize how hard those guys in the videos are working. Don't be listening to music and dancing around. If you have the energy to dance around, then you didn't do your set hard enough. 8. Always mixup your routine after about a month. 9. Wear a cap down low over your eyes to avoid distractions. Sometimes I wear a hoodie like Kai Greene in the video I Command You to Grow with Dana Lynn Bailey. It's all the way almost to my nose. 10. HAVE FUN!!!
