  • Check out how i use predatory bugs to fight pests on my plants. What method do you use? Have you ever tried predatory bugs? This is in my opinion the best way because it is natural and doesnt cost a lot of time.

    Using nematodes has come up a few times during my own research for dealing with fungus gnats, so I've definitely been considering it, but was just a little nervous😳 your video has really made me feel better about the whole process! Thank you!

    Love predatory bugs/mites.
    I have use them for over a year now.
    I buy new ones every 2-3 month.
    Amblyseius swirskii, for thrip larva and they actually take different kinds of mites too and some other pests.
    Hypoaspis, these ones you put above the soil, they love too live in the soil and eat the thrip in the soil, they takes fungus gnats aswell.
    Orius Majusculus, these ones eat the adult Thrip and ofcourse the larvas, but they don't live so long, but it's great too have them eating the adult thrip and kill a lot of them.
    I agree with you, it's easy too use, I don't have time too spray all plants and I don't like too use poison, I'm so happy too do it this way!! 💪

    Hello from Cabot Arkansas. Love your Videos!! This week I began my beneficial bug journey and I agree that using nature to combat pests makes it easier to enjoy the plant experience more when I don’t have to keep treating my Alocasias and a couple of philo’s for spider mites. I’m wanting to get some praying mantises and ladybugs for my greenhouse.

    I am definitely gonna order from them soon. I am just waiting for higher temperatures cause I am afraid they could die in transport. I have seen people place these bags lying on the long side at the bottom of plants. Were you advised against doing that?

    • @plantwithroos
      @plantwithroos  Před 3 lety +2

      Yes! Another business actually told me to do that to keep their baggies moist, but this is a different brand and they actually called me to say, we see you have them on the soil, they shouldn't be. Like I said, great service! And it depends on the brand / bag / bug setup.
