I bo no
Thanks HD piano
Great tutorial - and it's in the correct key of f-minor, not e-minor like the '80's fake book sheets back in the day had it in. Drives me crazy how those published sheets were always dumbed down. For example, I have a hardcopy 1962 sheet music edition of Vince Guaraldi's "Cast your fate to the wind" that's in A major, NOT A-flat major like you hear in the commercial recording (well at least in the track on the CD anthology I have, "Instrumental gems of the 60's" published on the Collectors' Choice Music record label) and Guaraldi's nuanced jazz improvisation in the middle section is eliminated in the sheet music altogether. For comparison, check out the Smithsonian edition of "Jelly Roll" Morton's collected piano music published by G. Schirmer.
Start at 3:20 and slow it down from there if your trying to memorize the notes. Because you have to tell the viewer that you're repeating a part each time you repeat the finger movements when you repeat them midway through. I'm memorizing the keys as you hit them. Then I get confused as to whether you just repeated the keys or if it's a new set. Just tell me what you're doing each time you go back on the notes.
But otherwise, no complaints. Good instructions. TY
Monsters vs Aliens song's President of United States
Haha, nice
Lol
Oh Yeah !!
Thatâs where I found this song
When I first heard it
U may be cool.... but you'll never be "playing this tune in front of aliens on a piano with one hand while being the president of America at the same time" cool
lololol
Aye I taught myself how to do this when I was 10 when I watched the monster v alien movie
True bro
I too
Wow that's so cool :) the left hand too? I'm nearly 40 but I'm gonna give it a go
Wow.. So did I. I unfortunately have never watched that movie, but instead decided to learn it because my dad did. So, I learned it in an attempt to impress him.. lmao
That's what i'm gonna do now hahaha
Thanks to you, I just played the main riff on my deep mind and I'm in heaven! You're a saint
Rock on!!
You have no idea how long I have been waiting for this video. Thanks for providing.
I enjoyed this so much. Iâm here at my desk pretending to follow along lololol you makes it Looks so easy! đđđ€©â€ïžâđ„â€ïžâđ„
I'm so glad you enjoyed!
The frets you play in the bass parts with left hand are different from the frets you play with left hand when you do both hands.
Which notes differ?
@@HDpiano The D flat: On the left hand part you play the note and its octave, whereas in both hands part you play the d flat then pause (no octave) and repeat the d flat (although in the left hand part there is no repetition of the d flat, you go immediately to the e flat and its octave). You also do that in the intro when you play the whole song: One way with just left hand, the other way with both hands. Thank you very much for the tutorial btw.
Oh it frustrated me too đ€
Outstanding! This is where i learned the hard bass part! Nice! Thank you!
Glad to help!
Oh man, you must feel so cool playing that bass line. Just listen to it! One day I'll feel it too, one day...
hahah
You sir are a bad ass, thanks for all the uploads!

One of my favorite 80's movies is Labyrinth. David Bowie might've been the coolest person to ever live. Well....hard to choose between Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Mick Jagger, and Tom Waits....
Bravo
Thank ya.

Boom.
2 years late. That being said I have about 8 hours of piano playing in 3 days and can now play both hands of this song as well as a few other songs. I figure within 3-4 days Iâll be able to play both hands here at the same time and in tune. Found a new hobby that is pretty amazing.
You're off to a great start--keep it up!
HDpiano thank fam working on it. Quick question. When you show how to play the left hand by itself, after the double C it goes
Eflat- F- Dflat(low)- Dflat (high), then low and high Eflat and so on. When you put it together with both hands you seem to play instead two low Dflats back to back rather then the low high version. Which way is the correct way or am I missing something? 8:39 is when I noticed this while paused.

@@HDpiano thx
Back to the future !!!!!!!!!!!!
yuss
My favorite 80s movie has got to be this, I really love it. But my favourite 80s song is not this, it's back in black
haha
Both hard
:D
It's going to rack my brain on the keys . left hand still learning Lol
Haha, patience is key! :)
It sounds good doesn't it ?
yes it does
Why when you play the left had its differemt what is taught âsuper duper slowâ. When you play with both hands, different notes are played, such as d lfat twice, instead of a dflat and then up the octave.
Just a tiny flub is all! The slow version is technically accurate.
How long did it take to learn both hands at the same time
Several weeks, but it's tough to predict how long it might take for any one individual. Depends on experience level, frequency/duration/quality of practice sessions. Go for it!
I learnt this years ago in primary school, dont tell people you can play this or mission impossible, it will drive you nuts lol
i like how you're replying to every single comment in existence
also this is cool
Thanks Zerokayl!
The logical song by SuperTramp would be amazing to learn but all the tutorials on CZcams suck an i'm sure if you HDpiano would do it it would be an amazing tutorial
They had an incredible tutorial for 'The Logical Song' but had to take it down for artist clearance reasons.
Do you play piano for production or just for youtube?
We play piano for many projects...! Find all our tutorials at hdpiano.com
This is so good pls reply
I find it really hard together but does it still sound good when you skip the whole octave, Iâm really short so its hard for me
Definitely will sound nice.
Back.when the networks used to edit movie content for television, you could watch "Beverly Hills Cop", "The Breakfast Club", etc. without being assailed by F-bombs, nude scenes, etc. Now you have to use content-filtering services like ClearPlay to have the same family-safe movie-viewing experience you used to get for free. Oh well... if you like Harold Faltermeyer's "Axel F" theme, check out his "Fletch" theme. You can tell it's the same composer
Ooh dig!
I tried to teach myself this a long time ago, trying to go by ear. I got some of it, but had a hard time with the end of the intro. I can't read sheet music, even though I was in band for a year, back in Junior High. Any parts of a toon I can play, is all by ear.
Nice--hope our video was helpful in your learning process. :)
God Dayum itâs hard

Back to the future II
Love it.
It's that easy to play how many days its takes to learn
Hard to guess how long it might take for one particular person to learn one particular song. There are so many factors at play: your experience level, your technique, length of practice sessions, frequency of practice sessions, focus level, etc. In any case, just be consistent and focused with your practice, and the results will come. Happy practicing!!
