This party was obviously thrown together as a money grab. An expensive ticket for a couple of shows and the chance to buy overpriced food. I watched super enthused spend 14 dollars for 3 pieces of shrimp!? All the things that you get at the mickey Christmas party versus this party, its such a joke. Obvious money grab for Disney.
Oh it was crazy pants- a way better back for your buck is the vlog we just posted where you can dine with the characters and stay as long as you would like at Hollywood and eat as much as you would like. I don't understand why they didn't bring out more characters?

Lol lol Sandra I had fun honestly just laughing with my friends through all of it. We were all in the same boat 😂. But I feel for the families who got lots of tickets for their kids and spent a lot. Mk party as you can tell in our other vlog was incredible
We had the same experience. We came expecting a jazzy party at Bown Derby and got a piece of garland and a piano player. The room was dead and no different than the day. The Tip Top Club was sad and not at all what anyone expected. No Latin Street Fair and forget trying to get food. this wasn't kinks this was a failed party by Disney.
Ok so we weren’t alone. I was thinking how is there no dancing? I have a ton of vlogs of after hours at Disneyland from just a few months ago and I thought it would be like that. They are amazing ! Check out throwback night in Disneyland in our vlogs with the swing dancing! They even had cast members helping get the crowd into it. I thought the brown derby would be like that :(

Speechless 😶. Sad how it turned out. Expected more out of it all for basically $36 an hour , no extra treats, confusion of lines and waiting and waiting, same food as daytime. But.. you’re hair looks great 👍 😅 and you’re personality is a smash 💥 🎉
I was speechless too Brenda lol! I kept saying to the camera on accident "Uh I don't know what to say " lol! You are just the sweetest because that hair got so rained on that you see! lol! And you making my day! hopefully I made ya laugh. Cause on a good note I laughed through that whole night lol. In our new vlog I just posted I think is a perfect different option for people to do instead of Jollywood. Great food, Hollywood characters, and they let anyone hang out at the restaurant for hours
All I have to say is that the Kermit the Frog was the most pitiful Kermit I have ever heard LOL how could anyone think this sounded like Kermit? LOL so many things went wrong with this event but some things are just unforgivable LOL😅
I completely understand! I try to be as honest as I can be, and I know this event was not what we all hoped it would be. A lot of people were upset, and I am really hoping that Disney is taking the constructive feedback, and will make some positive changes! Crossing my fingers for all of us!
Next year, they need to make the event longer and add a Holiday Motorcade down the middle of Hollywood BLVD like they did when the park first opened. Deck out some converibles and have the Disney Celebrities waving to their loving fans. And of course add some dancing units and various performers to the mix. They could have thrown together an acceptable "parade" with very little cost and provided more value for the buck.
Oo a holiday motorcade would be amazing! It would definitely add a ton of value to the price of the ticket!
Kermit's voice really was ridiculous. There are thousands of people that can sound just like him but they choose this guy? Such a joke. This party needs a LOT of TLC to fix it.
Lol lol- so kimmie , I’m super impressed you noticed - it was actually pre recorded also- so it didn’t sync up- watch it again you’ll see it didn’t match the puppets. I was like oh come on! I love the muppets 😭 and we need old kermies voice for sure back
I think Mickey Very Merry Christmas party has more value then Jollywood, the first night looks like it was a total disaster not just you others as well, Disney needs to get it together.
I totally agree! The Very Merry Christmas party was great and totally worth it! I’d definitely focus on that event, and we are crossing our fingers that Disney will add some extra magic to Jollywood so it’s worth the ticket!
That wait for a drink cart by tower of terror and for tinsel on a piano at brown derby is ridiculous
lol lol Robert! I exactly say in the vlog, the brown derby only difference was some tinsel lol. I was thinking what twighlight universe am I in... lotsa terror, lotsa twilight just not the fun kind lol. A way better option for a holiday dining experience is the Minnie one I just posted

oh my goodness Pamela I'm so glad you didn't! A better option are the Disneyland after hours parties that are PERFECTION! If you don't believe me just watch our vlogs from a few months ago at Disneyland for throwback night and the other was sweethearts night. So it can be done, and to the point that both were the coolest events ive ever done in disneyparks history. In the mean time the best option for holiday fun at Hollywood Studios is what I just posted with Minnie's vine and dine

Hey Katie! We are always brutally honest. And on a good note I couldn't help but laugh through this whole vlog as you can tell lol. On a good note, tonight's vlog was lots more good laughs in a positive way. Definitely a better option than Jollywood is the Minnie holiday dining experience

Hi Maria, I think it’s so sad the lack of organization, I know that many people was excited about this party and getting the perfect outfit for the party and paid a really expensive ticket for be disappointed. I think that the idea of the Jollywood party it’s great but they need to have more nights available with less capacity so everybody can enjoy everything and get the food and the pictures and don’t waste party time waiting on lines 🤯
I don't mind lines, but for food? Like you would think there was only two places to eat, no there were TONS of spots and every spot except one had long lines. That's just insane lol. So my new recommendation is my latest vlog with Minnie's holiday dine experience. Eat before you go there, and that way you get to meet characters, and the only real thing you have to worry about is the shows. But even then that party ticket is too expensive in my opinion

Aww Rachel you are just SO sweet! Thank you! It was really funny for sure and I'm the most positive person on earth. At least it was really funny. But if you watch our vlogs Rachel, you know most of them are funny lol!
It was great getting to meet you at the party, but we had a very similar experience! Our group of 4 ended up trying to divide and conquer most of the night to try the different foods and while we got almost all of them we didnt end up getting into either of the "exclusive parties". Only one shirt for merch, but hey.. free coasters 😂
Awww I see your photo on here and I love it! Even getting rained on you looked beautiful! Well you know me well, and I'm the most positive person on earth, but when I start handing out my protein bars to families with kids that say hello to me lol we know there is an issue. The first night was a bit of a mess haha but it seems like Disney was able to work out some of the issues afterwards! I’m excited to see what they bring to this event next year
Had a very similar experience that night. I was able to ride all the major ride without an issue worst wait was slinky at 15 min for me. It was impossible to get any of the food I was looking forward to (couldn’t justify line time). Disney definitely needs to reevaluate what they’re offering and how.
I absolutely agree! They’ve had so many other amazing events, that I know that can make some changes for this to be an awesome event! I hope they what they need to, so people actually enjoy themselves!
I was at Jollywood Nights (the crazy girl in the poncho showing you I was wearing your Jolly Holiday shirt in the pouring rain near the end of the night). The lines were long, but PizzeRizzos line was very short. The goat cheese and olive Flatbread was really good, and I am not a fan of olives. Their tiramisu puff was alsi good. The line for a sugar martini at Sunshine Day Bar was about 10 minutes. Ride lines were short, but Rise did go down while I was by the StormTroppers. Photopass does not start until 8:30, so a couple of my pictures are watermarked since it was right before that time. The band near Baseline Taproom was good.

Kermit sounds like he's got a cold
lol lol! If you rewatch it you will notice that kermit is actually talking to a track so it isn't live so I kept watching the mouth and getting confused lol. It didn't match. I understand it is a puppet but come on lol. A definite better bang for your buck is in my new vlog at Hollywood studios with Minnies holiday restaurant experience

It's nice you have so many friends & vloggers to experience it all with. When it comes to parties my general tip is I spend the first hour on rides, then I take in the shows later, followed by specialty events, photos & food. Then another ride or two and fireworks. Of course without watching all the volgs like yours, I know what to skip or miss. My logic with any Party/ Hard Ticket event is relax and enjoy the moments as they arrive.

Aww Bill you rock! I think this would make a great after hours events if they marketed it as a no lines for ride event. So people who were interested in never waiting for a ride, then it is GREAT! That way people know not to care about food, but focus on that. And people who I heard had fun actually skipped food and did mostly rides and a show. If you are looking for a fun food experience I definitely suggest the new vlog I just posted with Minnie's holiday dining

When are we going to start holding Disney to the high standard they set for themselves?
I know it was a frustrating experience, and we know they can do better! I wish they would learn from other successful events they have done! Hopefully they will make some changes soon, so this can be a more positive event for everyone!

Awww I hope they iron out the issues. The best advice I can give you is skip the food and drinks and just focus on shows , characters and photo ops. I know that’s a terrible thing to hear, but the food alone takes up 2 hours of waiting

It definitely is so amazing! Check out our vlog of that- there wasn’t even a wait time for Jack skellington at magic kingdom who usually has hours and hours of wait time for Halloween. Seven dwarves was 15 minutes. And those fireworks made me tear!

I can understand the party being new and that may cause some hiccups, but then make it right for all the people that went that first night why should somebody that paid all that money to go to this party be penalized just because they had The Misfortune of Being There the first night. Either offer them tickets to another night's party so they can experience the party as intended or just give them a refund knowing Disney neither of those will happen.
I can absolutely understand what you are saying! I would totally suggest contacting Guest Relations to see if they could offer either option. I am sure they received a lot of feedback, so they wouldn't be shocked! I think that would be very fair, to offer either option to allow people the opportunity to have a better experience!

We followed the marketing materials and came up with what we thought was the perfect game plan to try and do as much as possible and THAT did not go at all as they had marketed lol! Definitely if you are visiting Hollywood studios I would recommend visiting Minnie's restaurant with the holiday characters and food I just posted instead. And Disneyland in the past has done amazing after hours events as you can tell from the vlogs we have posted here. So I'm not sure what happened with this event :(

Aw I always try to be honest with you guys!! It certainly wasn’t the best, experience, but I’m hoping they make some changes! They take inspiration from the Sweethearts Nights or Throw Back!
Just the crowds is such a turnoff with such an expensive ticket, but the shows seem cool. Hopefully they figure out the crowd and food issues. Maybe a longer party with less cost or more things scheduled for smaller groups at certain activities. Sad you can’t experience more of something that could be very cool.
So they have done this a ton at Disneyland, definitely check out our throwback nights after hours Disneyland vlog! It was epic! So it’s super easy to fix. Not sure why they didn’t call Disneyland who does these almost every other month

All influencers I’ve watched say the same thing. “Working out the kinks”. There should be absolutely NO kinks at the price they charge. Just a money grab scam as others have noted. Disney is getting worse by the day.
I think all of us have hope! The shows truly were amazing! Maybe not worth the ticket, but I really do hope they will take the feedback they receive, and turn the whole event around!! But I absolutely get why it can be frustrating!

Disney should“work out the kinks” on their own dime. They should have sold way less tickets and the tickets should have been seriously discounted.
I felt especially bad to all the families who watch our channel that came up to me and bought tickets for their kids... people with 2 and even four kids... it adds up so much and they couldn't even get food :( I recommend Minnie's Hollywood holiday dine experience I posted as a better option
Remember, everyone...Jollywood Nights is new this year, so this is STILL a learning experience for DHS...Thank goodness we have someone in our lives' like Maria to teach us the ropes! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
No. You're telling me that Disney doesn't have experience with events? I guess you forgot about villains. They charged people $160 a tkt. Couldn't hire more staff to help with lines? There is absolutely NO excuse. Disney was making enough off of ppl to fulfill what they advertised. Disney literally said they'll nickel & dime ppl & fans will still show up & pay. Why? Because ppl get crazy over exclusive park maps, lanyards & a coaster. Please, stop creating excuses for these huge money hungry giants.

Thanks for the vlog Maria, Im sure many folks will enjoy this event but definitely not for me.. Didnt like the shows too much and Jingle bell jingle bam looked like a dud. Hopefully Disnry will tweak this and make it better , but for the price this party doesnt seem to warrent the cost

I don't know. I stayed and tried to do things, so I don't feel I can ask for a refund lol. I think if you do it gets iffy if you stay the whole party lol. I gave it a best shot! Lesson learned! A way better option to spend your money is in my new vlog I just posted for Hollywood studios with the dining experience with Minnie and the characters!
Maria, first your hair looks great as usual. How you keep it so nice in these weather conditions, awesome. The party::: Nope. Disney is making you pay extra to wait in lines!!!!! Too much for me. I still have resentment of them getting rid of the Grand Floridian Jazz Band/Orchestra. Then they couldn't bring them back for this event???? We just have NO interest in this party at all. And Jingle Bam used to just come with your regular day at Hollywood Studios. Bring back the Grand Floridian Orchestra and put it back in the Grand Floridian........

Definitely skip this, but if you are interested in just rides, I heard that's the only part that was successful with no wait times. Hey Alexis. I forget if I mentioned this in the vlog but we have done so many Disneyland after hours events just a few months ago and they were INCREDIBLE! You can watch the sweethearts night or throwback night vlog on here from a few months ago. Perfection. I don't understand why they didn't just do it the way Disneyland does it. Mobile orders, etc. And in my new vlog with Minnie's holiday restaurant, again perfect. Lots of characters, lots of food. I think they event can be fixed but they should have waited to have everything lined up correctly before promoting the event
Mickey's Not So Jolly. Every video I've seen was filled with disappointment by even the most diehard fans. Granted it is first night but "needing to work out the kinks" is not a viable excuse for a long established company charging insane prices. The event is new but none of this is new to WDW... much like that menu.

I understand your positive approach... however... We are all starting to see the cracks in Disney's facade. Disney has plenty of experience in after-hour events and hard ticket offerings. This IS just management's version of - "Well, we're Disney... they won't mind". Minimum output = Maximum profit

So why waste your party time to eat and drink when can get that stuff during the day and really expected lines to be actually be short, seems had a misguided expectations, when in reality probably should have expected things be similar to a reg park day,

From all the reviews, I will say, this is a big money grab for Disney and not a good value for your money. I cannot believe they charged for the 1 cookie they had to offer.
What's pretty wild Gina was the WAIT for the cookie! 45 minutes lol! A cookie! I was like there is no way we can eat lol. Luckily Hollywood has the Minnie holiday dine experience that is a win win as another alternative to holiday option . Definitely that was perfection. And I actually got to eat in today's vlog lol
This is just my opinion: but they need to find a sweet spot between making money And this not being overcrowded. They sell to many tickets and don't have enough staff to accommodate them making the experience not worth it. Plus everything is just to get that park have a crowd. Everyone knows that park only sees those crowds for the raise of resistance. Other than that nothing special. Not worth it. I'm glad you guys didn't give misinformation regarding this garbage of an event. I pass
Of course! I always try to be truthful, and this event was certainly not a great experience, and I would never want anyone to experience what we did! I really hope they make some changes. I know they know how to throw a party!! Hopefully they listen to the feedback, and make some amazing changes!
Brown derby is super waste
I usually like the Brown Derby on a normal day! I do wish they had some special menu items for the event though, definitely would skip it for this event so you can do the amazing shows!!

Oh no!!! I know it was a very sad experience, but the shows were amazing! If they change everything else, they could come up with something awesome? Lol. Hoping they make some improvements for us!
Influencers were able to skip lines, get into all attractions. So lame and waste of the money.
Well hopefully they will add more characters and mobile ordering to make things better. But I mean I just wanted one ghost in the tower to waive at me lol

It was a crazy evening to say the least. My best bang for my buck at Hollywood is honestly my latest vlog with the Minnie dine experience and I could use the AP discount. It was a win win
Nothing new at Disney these days. Overcrowded, overpriced for what you get. People need to stop honing to these things until Disney stops it.
I get what your saying! But I think even the worst day at Disney for some people, is better than a normal day! But I do believe they could definitely use some revamping and improvements. Hopefully they do!!
This was a huge waste of money
Sadly it wasn’t the best use of money, but maybe Disney will add some characters and music and make it the special even that we hoped it would be! It’s early, they have time!
From the video, It looks like a waste of time and money. Right now with what is going on with Disney, it's overpriced and not worth it. Disney is becoming a disorganized mess.
From my experience, I would definitely recommend skipping this event! However the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party had so many amazing things, with free treats, music, dance parties, all the things they *should* include in a special event! So they can do great things! I am sorry, I know we were all so disappointed!
The only right way to disney is not showing up lol
