Wow, thank you very much for this, especially having Daniel along. Since my conversion from Islam Easter has become very special to me and like Tyler's little Jacob, I try to show my love for Jesus at this special time by trying to be with Jesus at least in thought in His final days.
I usually fast from Thursday evening after supper, as though partaking of the Last Supper with Jesus, (I don't like to think I'm eating and drinking whilst he is being mocked and scourged, spat upon and suffering, going through all that pain for me.
I break fast on the Sunday morning when like Jacob l think He is Risen to mark the resurrection.
I spend the 3 days as much as possible immersed in scriptures and videos depicting His life and invite people round later on the Sunday including missionaries and investigators for home cooked lamb centred Mediterranean cuisine. I also share little gifts as a symbol of the great gift of Redemption, Resurrection and The Atonement of Jesus Christ given to me.
I couldn't do the Easter lamb dinner on my usual scale this year because of Covid and as adversity would have it, access to technology's been particularly challenging so much so that l even missed conference live but l am catching up now - went straight for President Nelson message and talk to quickly catch up on what God and my Saviour would have me do now.
This Easter Insights has felt especially wonderful and l am still buzzing. This presentation along with Daniel's Holy Week videos will be included in my future Easter spiritual preparation.
    Thank you so very much.

Wow very great .thank you so very much for you love and gift of knowledge. Very inlighting uplifting and motivating to think more upon Christ our beloved savior redeemer of the whole world and not just part of it .I know that God our eternal Heavenly Father had some of His children here on this side of the world. I know that Our Heavenly Father had true teachers prophets also on this side of the world. Like Mormon Alma Nephi Abenidi Mosiah lehi and meney others. Truly a baby can grow up and become an adult. Truly we can grow up and become like our Heavenly parents. Truly we are more than a physical body. It is real that our Father in heaven is the Father of our spirits and that we are here to grow up and become like He is. It is truly beautiful wonderful that He sent His only begotten son Jesus Christ. To brake the bonds of death so that we will be resurrected. How beautiful wonderful exciting is Gods grace and love. I am only one and the Father of my children that does not mean that there cannot be more fathers. God our Heavenly Father is only one and the Father of our spirits that does not mean that there cannot be more fathers in heaven too .I believe that there is no limit to space. I know that the essence or purposes of life is growth and to become and to overcome. I know that to be grateful is to be happy. Two full leg braces and crutches I am happy I chose to come to earth to follow Lord Jesus and get a body and go through so meny beautiful wonderful learning growing processes experiences to become more like our Heavenly Father and His beloved son Jesus Christ the only begotten of our Heavenly Father. I know that sence this spinning blue planet and all the worlds of God were created any time we as real children of real Heavenly parents have desired to grow up and become more God has always called true living prophets and apostles today. I am very happy grateful for love teachers like you guys are .my payer is that God will open up the curtains of Heaven and give you a big burst of crying happiness with tears of motivation to keep going as He has me with my polio .love Gods grace and love.

Quick suggestion - when you use a reference such as the size of the BYU campus, keep in mind that many, perhaps most, viewers have never attended BYU. It would be helpful to use more general references so we can relate to them easier. We are a worldwide church, not a Provo or Utah church. Other than that, this video is fantastic!

In this video, we made mention of the comparison but didn't show it which left many viewers like you no better off than their imagination! But for perspective, ancient Jerusalem was about .5 mile wide and .5 mile long.

The pictures in my scriptures, just after the New Testament, shows the Garden Tomb, where they say several “modern prophets have expressed feelings” that this is the tomb of Joseph of Arimathaea and where the body of the Savior was laid after his Crucifixion.

Many teach that there were two Passover meals-a family & friends meal one day and the temple celebration the next day. The Last Supper would have been the family & friends celebration. If true, neither John nor the synoptic gospels shifted the meal by one day. They described the family meal. Personally, I’ve always had a problem with the timing of a Friday crucifixion with a Sunday Resurrection. That’s barely a technical three days. A Thursday crucifixion has Christ truly rising on the third day. If on Thursday, Friday would have been considered a Sabbath as it would have been a feast day followed by the traditional Sabbath (Saturday). And if I had to choose one vs the three to “favor” its accuracy, John was the eye-witness that was beloved. Christ HAD to fulfill all of the feasts-each foretold of His role in our lives.

Tanya Stelly there is something in the Gospels that strongly indicates the last supper was not on Passover. Luke 22:36-37 is where Yeshua (Jesus) instructs the apostles to buy a sword. That would be prohibited on Passover (it happens after the meal). It is possible that same sword Peter wields in Matthew 26:51-52 in the Garden. The full Seder service uses four cups as well.

wharr The “report” of the Last Supper is not completely fleshed out. There are plenty of internal hints that do point to a Seder. There is the dipping. The third cup is the one that is later called the Cup of Remembrance through the New Testament. Christ states he won’t drink again. There are hymns at the end of the meal. In the Garden Jesus asks for “this cup” to pass if it is possible. That phrasing is not incidental. He’s referring to the fourth cup of the Seder, the Hallel, “I will take you as my people. . . “ He takes our sins as His own and we become His through the Atonement. Some call the fourth cup the Cup of Completion and He utters “It is done” on the Cross. Some scholars argue that the Garden of Gethsemane and the Cross are the fulfillment of the fourth cup and its promise; others argue that Judgement Day will be the fulfillment of the fourth promise when we are literally redeemed, one by one, as we stand before the throne and become like the Afikomen of the Passover meal. I believe it can easily be argued both are correct. I cannot believe that Christ would want to face the agony of the next day without partaking of the most important meal in Jewish culture. . . the one where He instructed how and what to prepare and eat. Especially as He finalizes the shift from the Mosaic Law over to the Higher Law. He literally changes the script of the Haggadah when He introduced the Sacrament. The Cup of Redemption becomes the Cup of Remembrance of all He has done to Sanctify, Justify, prepare, teach, and turn the hearts of His people (all people really) back to Elohim and Jehovah. He made promises, instituted festivals, inspired prophesy . . . and he fulfilled each and every one up to those that must wait until Judgement. To this day there is no consensus on whether the meal was a Seder nor as to what day of the week it occurred on. Again, we rely on faith to chose for ourselves what we believe did or did not happen. He rarely gives definitive evidence that leaves no room for doubt. However hard we might wish He would!😃 (PS after the Diaspora there were two meals!)

I have heard that The First Vision could have taken place around March 25/26 1820. I wonder if it is significant that the 10th of Nisan, in 1820, is March 25 1820. I also wonder if the date Joseph Smith received the Book of Mormon plates was significant. He received them Sept 21, 1823, during Sukkot, the very days that Jewish Rabbi were praying for help and to be remembered by God.

I love your insights. Thank you. I noticed that you said a couple of time that 'Jesus rode on a donkey or mule'. They are not the same thing. A donkey, or ass, is a purebreed animal and a mule is a hybrid between a female horse and a male donkey. In Zechariah 9:9 it is prophesied that Jesus will ride upon an ass and a colt (male offspring) of an ass. It is significant that Jesus rode a donkey because it was a sign of coming in peace rather than in war. (I'm sure you knew that).

Thanks for the clarification. Most of us (me included) don't usually think of the technical difference between a donkey and a mule. Sorry if we got the two confused.
for fun, here are the hebrew words associated with "riding on an ass" www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H2543&t=KJV and "foal of an ass" www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H860&t=KJV from Zechariah 9:9
