    Great tip about putting the candle in the freezer! Always wondered how to get them out clean from the glass!

    Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. It was wonderful work, and your passion is so contagious ❤.
    I like your coordination a lot. I use scented candles a lot, buy the leftover issues to add to the filling of my crocheted toys and items for my students, and to tge children in the women's shelters. I give them all away.
    I tried it ones, and tge toy I made was just a simple colorful ball as a Christmas ornament, but tge child I made it for, is learning challenged, so he gets frustrated, whenever that happens, he grabs the ball I made him, squeezing it in his hand to relax and tge warmth from his skin, release the scent stronger, he even puts it in his bed with him. So I started making different items, with whatever leftovers i had, it's been years, and people love it. It makes me feel great. When I give them away, the first thing people do is smell them and smile.
    I'm going to use your method to make a few more candles for myself or give away. There are still a lot of leftovers in my cabinet. ❤
    Happy New Year, dear.

    Jacque, I have a few candles that I really enjoyed and did not want to waste the unused wax. Thanks for the video and useful information.
    I have a suggestion to speed up the wax melting. Preheating the candles in warm water should keep the glass from breaking. Use a second pan with warm water to start bringing the temperature up, then move the candles to the hot water. Thanks again for the video! Best of luck!

    I love this! I need to buy me some wicks so I can try this! Those candle jars with the lids are great for cute storage! I just to scrape the remaining wax out and put it in my wax warmer. Then the jars get used for q-tips and other toiletries. But I love the idea of making new candles!

    Hey Jacque! Such a great idea! When I worked in a local boutique, we would have a candle burning all day and I learned if you let the candle burn long enough for the entire top layer to melt it burns evenly all the way down! So now I leave my candles lit for several hours before blowing them out! Thanks for sharing your experience!😊💞✨

    • @mymagicalhome
      @mymagicalhome  Před 2 lety +1

    • @nikedoesthings
      @nikedoesthings Před 5 měsíci +1

      thing is, I learned this too. Some candles just won't do that.. They'll tunnel regardless, either because they'd needed a second wick for the amount of wax, or because of quality.

    How long to boil the water

    • @mymagicalhome
      @mymagicalhome  Před měsícem

      It is more about getting the wax to the right temp. than a time for it to boil. Generally speaking you want it to be 180-185F for soy and paraffin wax 200-205ºF for palm wax before you add your fragrance. If you want it to be unscented or if it already had a scent you want to bring your wax to 120 - 165 degrees before you pour them into the jars. I believe I poured closer to the higher number. Thank you for checking out the video! I hope you are having a nice day.
