My advice you want to be a Leader first start from the base which is your local government area or house of rep, let people really see you at work if you are really born to lead. Changing lives is not only when one becomes a Governor, Senator etc.
A true Leader must be humble, stable and patient, you dont jump ship because you could not make it at your first try, it actually shows the kind of a Leader that person will be ' unstable' in the face of adversity or challenge.
What l would like to know what physical provisions and actions have the gentleman done to his community in terms of basic amenities , scholarships, trainings to the less priviledge and youths?.
You want him to use his personal funds to solve government problems while some people are stealing common wealth.

Sometimes all this politicians go dey make me laugh. The thing is that, this man should be ask how many times he has come out publicly to criticise the corruption and bad governance that has been happening. A lot of people hasn't been quiet like him, many have been vocal and they didn't wait till they want to contest! Oga, you don't have to be the Governor to lead, you can lead from the back to ensure that everyone does the right thing. You can be part of the winning team. In anything you do in life, there has to be a commitment, unfortunetely...it is 30M ...pay or go somewhere else. Politics is real life not movies....Use your money to set up a soup kitchen and provide free breakfast for children under 6 year old. Better still build a hospital or clinic for children under 6 year old.
