      What about using the fried oil at the end? It doesn't make it too oily?

    From someone born and raised in Nashville and have grown up eating Nashville Hot chicken. Thank you. Most people ruin it and do not do it no where near right but you did it how it's supposed to be. It looks awesome!

    My mouth started watering halfway through, now I'm hungry! I also now realize why Nashville hot chicken sauce seems to be so thin and oily, they recycle the fryer oil, totally makes sense!

    Dude....I'm barely 2 minutes in, and I already KNOW this approach is the freakin' BOMB! You hit EVERY single high point: pickle juice (YES!), a mix of white (boo) and dark (YES!) meat, a cast iron dutch oven, seasoned dredge....I can't wait to see the result, but from this starting point you almost cannot go wrong!

    This chicken sandwich is the bomb! Make sure to wear a bib when eating this sandwich. Making them again today using my breading mix with the Holy Voodoo. I did only use one tablespoon of cayenne pepper because I didn't want it to be to spicy. I know I could tolerate two but my husband said it was perfect. Thank you meat church for the Holy Voodoo and this fabulous recipe.

    Been following your channel for 5 or 6 months and I've got to agree with all the others, this is the best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten and the rest of the house thinks so, too. It's definitely in the recipe rotation here. I fried up some pickles with the same chicken batter and they disappeared just as fast. Wonderful quick and easy recipe! Thanks!!!

    So I tried this tonight for a quick dinner. Didn’t have any more voodoo, so I substituted dia de La Fajita (So Good) came out sooo good!!! My daughters are tender foots so we didn’t do the hot oil sauce, just a nice fried chicken sandwich. Was bomb!!!!

    Picked up some of your Voodoo spice blend at a Buckey's while on a roadtrip from my home town of Nashville to Dallas for the Winter Classic. Took a month or so to try it out, but after giving it a shot my girlfriend and I are wearing your spice blends out these days! Being born and raised here, I'm burnt out of "Nashville" style hot chicken but I'll make an exception here. Sending that awesome VooDoo blend to friends and family this Christmas.

    I'm born and raised in Nashville I remember the legend of how the Hot Chicken came about the problem with it now is there's so many places doing it alot most time it's so inconsistent and hot without flavor you can't taste the chicken.With that said I can't wait to try this recipe because church makes everything better as we already know

    Really good .the wife and daughter have never had Nashville hot , but I have and it’s a really good flavor profile. The voodoo is the hoodoo …..lol I’m not a big pickle fan on sandwiches but the pickle marinade added the pickle flavor with out the pickle
