The Trails series is like an anime in video game format. I think it would translate really well into an anime provided it was given enough episodes. If only it could be popular enough.

Each episode have like 20 min, each game can vary from 60 hours to 120 hours. (ofc, there's combat in the games that take quite a lot of time, but even so...). Just FC in my opinion would take *at least* 52 episodes to be done.
@@GUSRG you can remove the sidequests. Game is longer as you always run from one place to the other. These might be removed from the anime to shorten them. Playhours doesnt necessarily mean screentime

A game like this adapted into an anime series will require a lot of plot and character development which you can't compact into a quickened story. You also have to use particular scenes to build character chemistry and relationships as well as make the events string together like the game does, otherwise, the anime just ruins the game's premise. I think the best way for this to come out with an appeal to both new audiences and the game fans is to take elements from the game and add original material to it as either replacement for the side quests or materials to fill in gaps between the main story plot to add more depth.

From what I understood Ishmelga noticed Osbourne only after the events of Hamel took place and it wasn't exactly part of the plan, but rather inevitable turn of events. It also matches the Ash's case as he has pretty much the same trigger. On top of this Loewe was fighting due to the fact that nobody cared for aftermath of the incident and because higher ups covered the truth for peace offer.

Weissman's quick mind fucks, like we see in Richard and Kurt, do not completely rewrite a person's personality, they only muddy or amplify a thought/process. IE: Wiping Weissass from Kurt's Mind, and amplifying Richard's zealous love for the country to make him persue the Gospel/First Seal. Ishmelga is well implied to have been active through Erebonia's history, pushing events at a far more minor scale than he could up until possessing Giliath. Without a pilot, it's implied Ishmelga couldn't do much beyond subtle nudging. Weissass just helped open a pathway to allow Ishmelga to manipulate Lechter's father into the ultimate puppet to set off events (this is seen as true in CS4 when they go over a list of events in stills of things the Curse/Ishmelga has caused). The implication is ultimately such: Ishmelga took advantage of Weissass' manipulations of Lechter's father, but before having the Elder Arundel commit the Hamel Tragedy, struck out against Osbourne (who had warned Arundel not to commence his plans for Arundel's own sake) so that Rean would be injured and Giliath would be far more willing to accept Ishmelga, then reveled in the malice born of the Hundred Days War. Ultimately Weissass still is the ultimate architect of the Hamel Tragedy, Ishmelga simply took advantage to aim them shortly at Rean to finally gain more influence/power.

It's an OVA that adapts a game called The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. Although you're better off playing the games since this was a horrible adaptation, while the games are amazing.
It's a 2 part anime based off of the 2nd game in a JRPG series that currently has 10 games, and 1 more scheduled to release this year. The games are incredibly long, and you can't really watch the anime without playing the games. That's not to say you shouldn't play the games, they are masterpieces of storytelling, its just that if your just into the anime, and aren't much of a videogame person, then it might be hard for you.

@Florac battles in CS1/2 are still twice if not more entertaining, excluding the balance, which could've been better. Falcom's new engine could work, as I would definitely love to see updated character designs, as CS4 woke up that sense of nostalgy.
@Florac of course they are, moving from those rpgm-like sprites and outdated grid battle system are the main reasons for it. Also animations, they are still outdated but engine allows for way better detalisation and animations, which come with better POV. Of course CS1 was still ages behind other games in the graphic department, but they are not the reason we all play this game.

His childhood friend, the boy who likely would have been his future brother in law, and now a traitor to Ouroboros, is receiving the full hatred in that strike. This scene alone is why I'm glad SC got an animation. It shows how dedicated Loewe is to his mission and his reasoning. He's not letting any sentiment interfere with his questioning humanity.
The fact that the animation from this anime is better than several anime in 2020s kinda destroy my hope for new animes in the future And most anime nowadays just focused on harem or fanservice kinda makes me sick

This movie felt like revisionist history a lot of the time, love to see some of these characters animated though.

this ova is stupid, Joshua would never fight Loewe at that point, Loewe would murder him, and animations is awful. but that's all we have sigh...
Sen no Kiseki dragged on too much that it starts to bore, making Sora no Kiseki's story look much better in comparison.
