Ride in a Sd.Kfz 9 FAMO!

Here is a sum up of my ride in this gigantic 18t Sd.Kfz 9 FAMO, a german half-track produced during WW2 to tow heavy stuff.
This one is equipped with a diesel V12 Tatra engine.
This was during Militracks 2017, taking place at the War Museum in Overloon, NL.

Steering looks kinda lose on it! Bit hard to drive that way

It's an half-track. It only turns when front wheels have good contact with the ground.

@@CoreMaster111 The German half-tracks steer with the wheels and the brakes, depending on how far you turn the wheel.

the engine is Tatra v12 because owner doesnt has maybach v12

​@@martinseliga933 napadá mně jestli nejste čech ? v těchto kolopásech se standartně motovaly benzínové motory maybach. ale u tohoto stroje pan Léhar použil při renovaci motor tatra v8 t148 údajně kvůli provozním nákladům a s panem Léharem jsem se bavil osobně po telefonu tak to vím přesně.
A vzduchem chlazený motor tatra v12 byl vyvinut pro průzkumné bojové vozidlo sdkfz 234 puma samotná tatra 111 byla skonstruována o rok později cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tatra_111

That steering wheel looks like a prop.....
