If you get her style of humour, she is a laugh riot. Comedy genius.
Absolutely right.
Diane Morgan deserves all the awards. I absolutely adored her sitcom ‘Mandy’- random as fuck and incredibly funny!
Yeah, Mandy is hilarious 😂
Really? I call it humour for stupid people.
Shes great in After Life too!
@@anetasotys9334 amen to that!
Me too, go Mand 🤣🌻🏴
I love how the historians manage to stay so serious during these interviews 😂
4:18 but Americans back then weren’t the humble unassuming people they still aren’t today. 😂😂😂
Brian Klaas deserves an award for his deadpan reactions.
What award?
@willis The award for best deadpan reaction to a comedy series starring Diane Morgan. Do keep up!
He understood the assignment perfectly
This popped up just when I thought there was nothing to watch haha. Cunk on earth episode 3 has a lot about America and revolutions, was hoping you'd continue with the full episodes of cunk on earth :)
It's such a pleasure to watch an intelligent American enjoying British humour. I hope that doesn't sound patronising! Connor's a very clued-up guy.... for an American.
Connor, you should check out Stewart Lee's take on Americans.
So, he's elevated to Intelligent, because he understands and enjoys British Humour? Does that make our whole nation Soooper Brilliant?
As an American I don’t understand what you mean by “clued up”? What we get British humor?? It’s humor anyone can pick up on. Even if you use some fancy words we can still get the jokes.
Fact is that most Americans doesn’t understand things like sarcasm or irony.
@@Jonsson474 Or tea-cosies.
I would love to see more, I'll subscribe in anticipation.
Funny as always! Thank you.
Great video Connor, thank you🎉
By the way, I've never heard an American refer to a pavement as such, only as a sidewalk.
to Americans, pavement is the road, not the pedestrian part.
We call a road a road here in the UK
Americans get everything backwards and arse over tit. 😆
@@andyb7963 its just spelt highway.
Perhaps those Cities do, that have a large percentage of Brit immigrants, like New York ?
What they did in Boston was add cold salt water with no milk (sugar optional). So as Tea Parties go fishy tasting cold Tea is understandably not the answer. So when our fine American cousins try another UK Empire beverage called Coffee with warm fresh water it was understandable they were going to enjoy that more. As for the right to bare arms wore my short sleave shirt last week because it was a warm day so I see no problem.
I can just imagine a British agent watching the Boston Tea party thinking, that's not how you make a cup of Tea the water has to be boiling.
@@nealgrimes4382 Absolutely. :)
@5:25 That’s Brian Klaas. He does have his own show, a podcast “Power Corrupts” which is well worth a listen.
Philomena's downer on theatre is explored more fully in the 30m episode Cunk on Shakespeare
She's called Diane Morgan and was born in my home town, Bolton, Greater Manchester. The first time I saw her on tv I knew the accent and looked her up. 😂 She sometimes gets words mixed up or says them wrong, this she picked up from older Boltonians who used to work in the textile mills and would lip read and contort their faces trying to be heard over the noise of the textile machinery 😂.
You’re right. I live in Bolton and quite familiar with this accent 😂
" lip read and contort their faces". Les Dawson style?
Wow.. with her accent are you sure she wasn't from Birmingham 🤪🤪
@@SirReginaldBlomfield1234 Sure as eggs are eggs 🤣🤣🤣.
@@EdDueim That's the one 🤣🤣. Also Hylda Baker is another fine example of a Boltonian doing the same 🤣🤣.
I’m American and I absolutely love her!
Oh man I absolutely loved this show.
Hedy Lamarr invented wifi, beautiful and intelligent
No she didn’t. She invented frequency hopping, so that radio-controlled torpedoes could randomise their frequencies and therefore avoid being jammed. It’s not the same as “inventing wifi”. Maybe you’re confusing it with packet switching. And before somebody says that radio signals don’t travel under water, well that solution is classified. Probably. 😊
That’s “Headly”😅
She is hysterical!!!! 👍😂❤ MORE REACTIONS TO HER PLEASE!!!!!!!! 👏🤗😀
Just a friendly reminder, I don't think you added this video to the playlist. I'm loving it and hope you do more.
If you search ‘weekly wipe’ that’s the show she first appears. She does reviews on what’s happened with another character (Brian Shitpeas) in that week… hosted by Charly Brooker
Al Campbell who plays Barry Shitpeas is the director of most of Charlie Brooker’s series of wipes. He’s directed lots of top comedy shows.
Diane Morgan was on "Have I Got News For You" not long ago... And it was a pleasure watching it, she was a natural... Proper little starlet is Miss M! :)
I always believed that pavement in UK refers to the footpath, i.e. the US sidewalk, whereas in the US it generally applies to the road surface.
I always thought the sidewalk was the wooden platform around buildings like you see in cowboy films.
Yet the construction industry refuses to recognize either term and insists on erecting 10's of thousands of signs reading 'Footway closed' dispite not a single uttering of the word amongst the British civilian population in it's entire history other than to chastise the signs.
Here in the UK the sign says footpath closed or in the case of a road it's road closed 🥴
@@SirReginaldBlomfield1234 No, it says footway closed in the UK
Nope in the UK we have pavements running along sides of the roads and paths running through our parks etc.
Edison stole the lightbulb, a few times despite how yanks have edited his wikipaedia to the otherwise.
QUOTE...........Joseph Swan, in full Sir Joseph Wilson Swan, (born October 31, 1828, Sunderland, Durham, England-died May 27, 1914, Warlingham, Surrey), English physicist and chemist who produced an early electric lightbulb and invented the dry photographic plate, an important improvement in photography and a step in the development ...UNQUOTE.....This was long before Edison got his patent in.
Edison was just the first one to make a commercially viable lightbulb
@@decrulez He stole the lightbulb, was sued and lost.
You can try to ignore that all you want but you can't change the fact he was a thief.
He still lightbulb designs from multiple people and was sued by more than one of them and lost every time.
@@Gambit771 huh? My guy you need to learn to read I never once said he created the first lightbulb, I said he was the first to make one that was cheap enough to make whilst still being useful to the average person. I.E the first commercially viable lightbulb, not the first one ever created.
This is why reading comprehension is important kids.
@@decrulez My guy you need to learn how to read.
I never said you said it, only that you was ignoring that and you was, otherwise why make your original comment.
It is pointless and doesn't add anything.
All you was doing was defending him.
Trying to make him out to not be so bad when he was a terrible human being.
That guy you like probably. Went to school in Oxford Cambridge. Understood taking the piss 😂 you have to run with it
I would LOVE to see Cunk on Shakespear! It's the subject she most hates. The sheer lengths she would go to to change the subject and the total research failures would eclipse even her Pump Up the Jam fillers. Bring it on!
Hey Connor if you could, try to find Diane Morgan’s “Mandy”. it’s a short series of her acting in a different character show and is hilarious.
React to Eurovision 2023 Top 10
I don’t do this often, especially with Americans, but the dude with the bear arms gets my stamp of approval, I’d have a pint with him 🤣
She is fantastic.
These clips are mainly taken from Cunk on Earth
Love her - so much 😂😅😂
I like history and enjoy a good documentary but Philomena Cunk is wonderfully hilarious. My only worry is that some people will take her seriously!
Try "Brass Eye", and "The Day Today".
5:02 dude was like "You ain't outweirding me, bish"
We would say “I was walking along the pavement when I stepped off the kerb to cross the road” I’m sure you would change only sidewalk for pavement?
She is hilarious 😊
Isn't "pavement" in US English only a name of one particular kind of material used for sidewalks? (I'm not a native speaker, it's just my impression :) )
i guess we use it as a term to describe any concrete surface once it dries
In Britain we call the road tarmac. Because it's a brand name for the type of bitumen used..
@@neilgayleard3842 this is funny thing in post-communistic countries, we often had just kind of product and it was often called by the brand name, so when new brands were introduced to our market (after 1989), some of the kinds of products are still called by the old brand name - which continues to exist as well. (It has to be very frustrating for marketing teams of those brands :D )
@@carnifaxx Like Xerox or Google in the USA?
@@user-xi6nk4xs4s yes :)
If you want a slice of real British humour, watch Gerard Hoffnung's address to the Oxford Union 'The Bricklayer' Priceless!
Philomena Cunk is always funny- Diane Morgan's other stuff is pretty good too.
Try 'Motherland' comedy series, very funny.
Watch Cunk on whatever! On Britain,on Shakespeare,on Christmas, doesn' t matter! I m not an English native speaker, but I know Cunk by heart! 😂😂😂😂
Whoever put these clips together messed up a bit with the editing.
Funny

Lt. Columbo discovered America! 😂
Random but do they have parmos in America?
We don't even have them in the south West of the UK
@@gavinhall6040 yes but the south west doesn’t even have WiFi yet
Parmos? like a chicken parmesean sandwich?
@@McJibbin they’re a Middlesbrough dish. It’s basically chicken with cheese sauce, topped with melted cheese. Usually served with chips and garlic sauce. Basically a cardiac arrest on a plate 😂
@@xRoRox 😂 Obviously a tongue in cheek comment, but Cornwall was the first to get full fibre in the uk. Operator to the exchange, exchange to my door. None of that old fashioned copper wires.
No, unfortunately no full episodes exist.
Bicycles don’t have toilets for the same reason that lamp-posts don’t have windows.
It might be better to find the full episodes out there as bad editing people are putting up can kill the humour.
Well i'm not a "Biologist" but i "suppose" that whem they stand up they're probably arms🤣 4:52 Congratulations, you played yourself
Shes the female version of Ali G 😂
We still "can't be asked". That's why we import our south of the border friends. Also, just to be fair, the native Americans gave us syphilis and tobacco.
She is saying 'arsed' not 'asked' ;-)
Edison didn’t not invent the light bulbs.
Here's my story, it's sad but true It's about a girl that I once knew
She took my love, then ran around

You will believe a plane can fly!
Do not watch this or the original video it has so many jump cuts to probably get around the CZcams algorithim that it is painfull to watch
Please do whole episodes instead of these miserable cut up episodes and best of collections. They totally ruins the whole idea.
Pity this segment was so poorly edited!
