I only just realised this was an Arm and Gun, I don't need sleep, I need Gunucation
Always thought it was armorgun
Really....? I thought it was kinda obvious tho
I actually like what the new owners have done, shying away from competition and focusing more on hard use and duty. The reason the barrel is point of contention is because other manufacturers are using CHF CL barrels or higher end Criterion barrels, even Blackout Defense uses technology to make their 416R barrels better where Cobalt uses a manufacturer that sells $150 or less barrels while charging top dollar. Barrels and bcgs are the heart of your carbine. While the Rosco barrels are fine, some people have a hard time spending top dollar for again, $150 barrels.
Absolutely.
As they come from the factory, would you prefer a blackout defense or this cobalt?
always a good day when Arm&Gun uploads
I like that you're broadening your content, I respect your opinion objectively and would like to continue being exposed to your perspective. It helps you've got a helluva collection. Keep on keeping on brutha.
🙏🏻 having other ‘similar yet different’ firearms to reference makes a huge difference in how you’re able to understand a given firearm. I’m very grateful for having access to all these, and intend to keep expanding and leveraging them to put out more informed content.
@@armandgun how do you get access to all of these?
Thank you for your fantastic information on some of your guns. Loving this. Keep doing what your doin.
I'm legit on the edge of getting this rifle the Cobalt that is but I just need to make sure the juice is worth the squeeze
Go shoot one. Preferably a 12.5. You’ll have your answer.
@@armandgun I've been trying to find one to run, noone in my area has one but I do need too to see how it stacks to my LWRCI SIX8-A5 12.7 pistol (NFA=nfgay) going to SBR it at some point (silly laws). That rifle just chugs through anything thrown at it and works and is accurate and soft flat shooting.
I’ve seen them swapped with Noveske barrels.
Always great to see you upload
Little late today, was shooting for an AM upload, but this is the first "review" of a firearm I've done in awhile and ended up with a few things I wanted to redo after giving it a final check last night. Still holding onto my goal of weekly long formats!
@@armandgun I can’t wait
Wow, that's an absolutely amazing AR-15, very well made and with a lot of intresting features! Loved this video, thanks a lot!😎🤩
Love the Gun, great review!!!
I’ve got zero problems out of my roscoe 14.5 barrel. They make a great product
I remember finding out about Cobalt Kinetics about 5 years ago, and their precision race AR’s are amazing❗️
Great look into an awesome firearm. I need to try out the Cobalt system AR. Also want to try the patrol length gas system. All I have is carbine and mid. Thanks for the videos and keep ‘em coming brother.
Great video. Probably the only AR I've seen that could maybe match gucciness of a Radian Model 1. Only thing I would say is that the only true monolithic AR's for years now have been LMT's because they have the patent, YET they are not hard to barrel swap at all. They're actually easier to swap barrels on than any AR I can think of. You loosen two bolts and the entire barrel and gas system slides out, which means you can also swap between entire operating systems in a moment as well. I.E. go back and forth between DI and piston.
Yes, LMT has a lot going for it. I used to have a MWS. The extra fun thing with that one was the receivers were also compatible with sr-25’s. I need to get a new lmt in sometime.
that was the most well said gun pill ive ever heard. thats why you my friend are tied for my favorite guntuber. brandon herrera being your running partner. donut for a close 2nd and demo 3rd. baddies under donut
Here early this time, just gotta say love the vids and shorts. Keep it coming
America must protect Arm & Gun at all costs.
🙏🏻
I have a mid gas 12.5” from Triarc and it’s the softest shooting gun I own.
I should have one of those on here before long. Chris is a buddy. He had one set aside earlier but I twisted his arm and said I’d wait for a billet ambi. I’ll have to poke him because now that I’ve experienced this I’m really curious to try their 12.5 mid with the track rifling.
So the AR is one I haven’t heard of but I’ve been really interested in getting a monolithic rail ever since I first saw one that VLTOR came out with after I built an upper from them was kinda bummed…I like the idea that it is set up to work well and you don’t need to mess with it because I tend to do that with everything and sometimes it takes way longer to get it how I want it or is a work in progress! I would have liked to see you do some shooting I have never seen your channel but literally kept watching because of what you had on display in the background lol!
LWRCI has a very similar upper receiver/handguard union.
Dang. Canada is nutty anti-gun. Feel bad for you bro. Love your content. Thank you for making it family friendly so I can watch it with my 14yr old son. God bless.
I’m new to the channel and I love it. Once Justin T bans all your weapons please keep me in mind for your fire sale 😂
The Radian LT still had Aluminum ears. They are just fiber reinforced polymer over-molded
So r u saying that's good or bad? ...just curious...I was gonna get a gray 1 for a black & gray build...
Shoutout from Saint George Utah, where Cobalt is made
The Radian LTs aren't polymer wings. There full aluminum that haven't been fully machined out with a thin layer of polymer to cover the less refined machining. That's the reason it saves cost. The machining.
@@chaoticcaninejb I guess Joshua Underwood was lying then. He even showed a cut out of the LT, showed the LT before the polymer was put on and explained it almost exactly how I did. If there a chance you got a fake? Here's the exact description from Radians website.
"Meet the newest member of the Radian family: Raptor-LT. Utilizing the same patented ambidextrous functionality as its predecessor, the Raptor-LT handles are machined from 7075 aluminum, MILSPEC Type III hard anodized, then over-molded with high-strength, fiberglass reinforced polymer for the ultimate combination of strength, weight, and durability."
Makes sense that they’re just injection moulded parts to save time. I could be wrong, I haven’t done destructive testing to brake it in half.. but understanding matching and injection moulding, you can create some very strong parts using the right material and it’s very fast and efficient. To roughly mill them then coat them just doesn’t seem worth the squeeze. Either way, for the $20 it’s a waste not to go full radian, though as mentioned it was a strategic move in this case. I can see them swapping standard raptors in soon as availability allows.
11:04 I enjoy that you are familiar with JP scs also , I’d cryptic coatings BCGs .
12.5” is the barrel Goldilocks length. I wish someone made 12.5” barrels for the mcx. Cool that rosco has experimented with the gas system to make it less over gassed.
She's really pretty, thanks for sharing!
I agree with the "hearsay" that putting a $150 barrel on a $2,500+ rifle seems odd. This price point typically calls for a match grade/sub moa barrel.

*Ayyeeeuh,* Arm&Gun video.
AAA Comics I have just SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL
And liked your comment
Beautiful gun, however it does make me love my LMT even more. Monolithic upper..barrels “Easy”to swap with two bolts. Also ambi.. you should do a review.
P.S your upper and lower are match up really nice.
LMT has a slick system there for sure. I had their 308 MWS a few years ago actually, very nice and fun fact, interchangeable with SR-25 receivers, and stag’s with a little fitting.
The LMT is something that would certainly be worthwhile checking out too, especially since they brought their mars lower to their 556 platform.
Hello there buddy from your friends in San Diego California USA 🇺🇸 ❤
👋
3:50 I've heard of "50 shades of fde" but that's more like 50 shades of mustard
Awesome gun 🔫🔫🔫
Nitride is sub-standard, in fact most Ferritic Nitro-Carburizing (nitriding), compromises the integrity of the Bolt, as it approaches anneal temperature for Carpenter or S7 Steel (special alloy steel) which is around 1100°F. The only exception would be Low Temp Vacuum Nitride which leaves a dark grey finish. FYI Nitride is not a coating, it is a heat treatment process that penetrates deep into the surface that also results in a change of color When process is complete. Coatings like Nickel Boron or Cerakote simply get applied to the surface. The general classification is Surface Treatment.
What is the weight of this 12.5 without optic and accessories? Excellent video. Not sure why I need another AR being I have two ADM’s already. Guess I need this one now also.
Hey brother, Rosco doesn’t make a Patrol length gas 12.5” other than the K9 barrel. The one you have has a carbine system, not sure if they misinformed you. Just letting you know. 🤙
Wait you live in Canada? What!?? How do you get your hands on these in Canada? What's the licensing process
He has a business/media license, the prohibited firearms he shows off are not actually owned by him, but rather his company or borrowed from other companies. He cannot legally shoot them either unless specifically granted an ATT by the RCMP, where blanks can only be used most of the time.

Are you familiar with the B.A D. lever system? Bolt catch and release lever. I love it.
Yep, I typically use the phase 5. Only problem is it makes this style of ambi mag release really hard to use. It’s bad on the sig mcx system too
I personally don't care for it. I did buy one a few years ago and tried it on multiple guns - just never did take to it. I've been running an enhanced catch/release by strike industries
It’s not something that you’d ever want to use on a duty weapon
Mawl if I could afford one
it seems like a nice rig. Personally I tend to prefer geissele uppers. the 10.3" super duty I have and the 11.5" super duty I shot both had considerably smoother recoil impulses than any other upper I've shot in the respective barrel lengths. I'm sure the cobalt is fine, but a roscoe barrel at that price point kinda hurts. At least geissele is hammer forging their barrels now.
I wish you could come to the states with your armory
He’s in Canada 🇨🇦
@@fright3339 Yes. I know. I'm saying I wish he could come to the United States with his armory so he could have less restrictions
so if buying just the upper from Cobatl does the buffer tube /buffer still "mate" or is that a special Cobalt proprietary part ?
Forward Control Designs rule all safety selectors with the Quick...
Seekins Precision has been doing the secret sauce setup for a long time.
I’ll look into it
Jeez you weren't lying when you said you nerded out 😭
🤓
Is the handguard mount close to what aero precision has with their enhanced upper receiver?
lmao arm and gun talks EXACTLY like chris traeger from parks and rec LOL
Such a legend. It’s not intentional, just my style, but I’m not sad that I share it with him. Could probably benefit from some Ron Swanson too 🤣
I saw your thumb nail about problems with SBR'S, and i wondered has he ever tried keltec RDB Defender with a lucky Irishman hand rail?
canadian flannel daddy is that you?

Very cool firearm! I am a fellow Canadian🇨🇦 and having a collection like yours seems so out of reach due to no more Prohib licenses, bummer! Maybe one day that'll change 🤘🇨🇦
How does he have all this?
No, it won't change because too many Canadians are content to allow a wannabe tyrant to control their lives
@@madride858585 real question is why? What's the point??
@@agoge08 why not?
@@StEvEn420BrUlE what are you going to do with this gun, seems silly
The armory has flannel shirts as part of the display.
Extra storage.. ran out of closet space.
Can you do a video on PTR308. Love that you do videos on large variety of rifles, but i don't see any on the ptr. Also because i'm thinking of getting one.

Take people shooting. Win hearts and minds. If somebody in your circle of influence wants the debate tell them you will state your 2nd amendment position only after a trip to the gun range. I suggest shooting steel with your funnest firearms. Demonstrate the fact that a 29 round braced pistol is safer that a 9 round 1911 in a self defense situation. Make the investment. Taking people shooting makes new shooters.
I try to do this at least a few times a year. It really does work.
I Really hope that your collection stays safe and J.T. is replaced by a normal person. WTF is his deal? Thank you I love the channel!
Do you mount your camera on your head or your chest? And what zoom do you use? or is it a dslr
👆👆𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎☑️☑️ ☑️
do you have an NTW-20? I would love to see this massive thing in one of your videos!
Reminds me of lwrc but most likely more expensive.
For civilian lasers the mawl wins every time but otherwise the ngal is the best. Light and compact with lightsaber power🤘
Depends on the metrics you're talking about on the restricted side. If your talking output, Mawl DA has a 150mw output on the triple tap setting which if I'm not mistaken is nearly double an ngal and almost triple a raid. Ergonomics id also probably give it to mawl for the ability to rapidly adjust beam divergence and output compared to the competition. The one area I give a really hard look at to ngal is size/ weight.
Civilian side mawl then DBAL d2. The D2 output is impressive for the cost but is no where near mawl ergos and still falls short IMO to the mawl just barely. Plus slightly more visible signature than the mawl.
I own a Mawl, DBAL d2 & a3 and I'm looking to get an ngal on a build I want to keep light and tight. So I'm not exactly bias to one product cause that's all I know.
Do you have a prohibited range to use all these beautiful firearms?
I have just liked the video
I have just liked the comment
How are you getting ARs if they're prohibited now? Or is the rifle just not classified as an AR15 according to the RCMP?
Do you have list of accessories you added?
Cool
Don't contact the fake Arm&Guns account. It's a sçãm and CZcamsrs will never ask for you to contact them in the Comments.
How are you still able to get a ar-15? I thought ar-15s are already banned in Canada.
Excellent review buddy! From red wing Florida Patriot....
Guns. A lot of GUNS
Cobalt makes beautiful guns
I learned from counter strike that dual berretas is best
What would you say is the best short stroke piston AR? I've been eyeing the POF P-415 looks solid and since HK hates civilians and charges full price for lower quality I refuse to buy from them.
How the hell are you able to get these guns if they’re prohibited in Canada?? I’m genuinely curious
Awesome. A $2500 rifle with a Rosco barrel.
at least take them outside xD we want to see them go outside!! xD
Cheers From Portugal!
I didn't think you guys could even have a red Ryder up there in syrupville...... ???
Surprise
Whole lot of mating going on in this vid.
Every manufacture not willing to mill ambi bolt lock on their lower, should include a Redi-Catch that would allow like a ADAC bolt lock with mag release. Its clutch.

Hi
how do you own all these guns in canada? i thought ars are banned
Wanna Trade?!!!! lol Yeah I know ya won't!
LMT Next
Would be good
This looks like a really nice rifle... _But,_ I think there is another company that makes something _very_ similar for less: LWRC. Their DI gun features Ambi-controls built to work with their receivers, keyless low friction BCG, fluted hammer forged 41-45 chrome-vanadium barrel, and an extruded monoforged upper that is very much like the barrel/forend interface featured on this gun. They are also "tuned" from the factory by virtue of the fact that every single piece is built in house to work with some of their proprietary parts. I'd have to shoot the Cobalt to know for sure, but I'm willing to bet that the LWRC would at least be close in performance, if not equal, for the price tag of 1400$ vs 2400$. I'd still be very happy to own both though!
If I’m going LWRCi I’m going piston, that’s what they built their legacy on. And actually I should have their 12.7 here in a few months
@@armandgun Sweet, looking forward to the review.
PS: I have both an LWRC DI and a Six8 in my collection; they are both absolutely bomb-proof and criminally underrated.
@@Sceptis agreed that LWRCi is highly underrated.
@@Sceptis or at the very least under represented on the commercial market/community
Your in Canada 😮 how !!!!
Geissele super 42 buffer and spring are quieter than that
I’ll have to try it. There is some other special stuff going on inside the vltor tube. I believe it’s coated. Forgot to get into that in the video.
I may be a complete moron. But did mention what exactly the muzzle device is... it looks key-mo but the front flash hider part looks different than what I've seen
is this the ck pro?
The FORWARD CONTROLS safety is better than the Talon, held in by roll pins as well as being way slimmer and tactile.
I’ll have to try it out
Forward Controls ASF50 with q levers is so good.
those do look pretty great, however I know I would get annoyed with the roll pins. Otherwise they look quite similar to the talons and I’m sure are awesome once installed. I’ve done enough trigger swaps and lower builds that I’ve really come to appreciate how simple the talons pop in and out with the detent latch. Still I’d reckon it would be worthwhile to try a set.
@@armandgun Defo worth it, it does come with an extra set of mini roll pins if needed😉.
@@alaspoorjordan yes, my newest favorite For sure!!
What dead air keymo muzzle device is that
Whats the forgrip to the right of the HK rifle?
Looks like an A3 Tactical
I have the NGAL and love it, I would prefer the button press mode alternation of the raid however. The crazy bright Vis laser is the tits though and always fun to pull out at the shoots. The real winner is anyone using a FP VCSEL IR illum.
Can Canadians buy factory FP lasers?
I think so? Problem is most of the good stuff is ITAR, so very hard to get.
@@armandgun Sounds like you are in about the same boat we are. It’s not easy to get Full power LAMs if they are made in America
I know why you aren't firing these toys because they are All Prop Guns to make movies !!
My 12.5 mid length is wildly over gassed and requires and H3 buffer. But I don’t care!!! All hail the 12.5”! #masterrace
Over gassed, really? The problem with mid length is generally the lack of dwell time. Which company is yours? They must have just used a huge gas port. I’m waiting on a 12.5 mid length from Triarc. Supposedly their track 2.0 rifling provides a really nice seal and allows them to keep it tight. Looking forward to getting it in and seeing for myself.
Is the Robinson arms crx-m still a good .308 buy?
It’s one of the best, imo.
Can you even buy these in canada?
