For those unfamiliar with this band-- this was the way Kent announced their finish-- the last album and tour as one of Sweden's most successful bands. I'm not a "Kent expert" although I did enjoy them so this is my take-- many of the shots are of previous album covers and songs (the plane, the tiger, the running girl, the woman on horseback, woman in the tunnel, the dogs, etc.) It's as if Death is rounding up everything from the past and bringing it back together one last time, for one last march. Då Som Nu För Alltid means Then As Now Forever.
Thank you.
Oh man, I'm late! This video came up in the playlist of other music I may like on CZcams. I love the visual and the sound of this, and I'm Deaf (not completely, but nearly).
Thanks! The algorithm recommended this, and I really didn't understand what was happening, and kept thinking that a song would start. TY for giving context.
I thought they where a Finish band. The Flag is Finish! Blue cross on a white sheet, Swedish is a Yellow Cross on a blue sheet. and the Aland the island between Finland and Sweden have a Blue sheet with a Yellow Cross AND a red cross on top of the Yellow cross
@@TheRealBigSwede The band is/was Swedish. They started out in Eskilstuna, then moved to Stockholm. Yes that is a Finnish flag--the band has some connections with Finland through the years but they are all Swedish and in the Swedish Music Hall of Fame.
Its impossible to watch this only once.
Dude, I can't find this song in any music streaming website.
WHERE THE HECK IS THIS SONG!?
I agree. I shared this video with a female drummer I know and she said she'd never seen or heard anything like it and made it her new mantra. Drums are powerful communicators.
Same nice to see something original
Everytime I watch music on CZcams, 2 or 3 times a week, I watch this and have been since like 2016 when I found it.
I tested your theory and it appears you’re correct.
Strange. I keep returning to this. The anthem. The escalation. The way that life's events are just thrown into one big river. The brutal finale with the drummer tapping out the final heartbeats. And so short - the shortness itself is so brutal
like life, it builds with highs and lows, and in the end, hopefully, it was not brutal. or short.
Привет чуваки)
Strange indeed. On a random Sunday afternoon that video came back to my mind and I decided to watch it again after quite a while, only to read this comment of yours. Life is quite the thing, you're right. Hope you're doing fine.
@@xacbertdebarbeira_ Off-topic, but omg, your proper use of you're... Totally underrated.

Lost track of the number of times I've watched this now. Still wonderful!
Wish it was longer.
I concur. The beat is simply irresistable.
So how many people first ever heard of this now defunct band because this awesome video turned up in their feed?

yes, me as well
Yes.
Here 🤚
I sadly discovered them the year before they ended, when I was 15. I love their other stuff as well, but this one has really crept under my skin in the best possible way.

I keep coming back to this, like I’m late to a party.
I love how the dogs and horses are so proud to be a part of this. Our best friends make us the best versions of ourselves.
7 years on and this still brings a massive lump to my throat. Simply sublime.

Even though i am a dane, i still love this swedish masterpiece :)
Poor sweet Dreams
i just keep coming back to watch this over and over, i think the internet was invented for this film clip,
I've watched it prbly 50 times.. just now noticed the horse. Ohh dear God have mercy. I love this.
I feel you! Doing the same , for some reason it´s addictive ?? Also This would be the perfect intro to a concert! You know it will be epic if this is the first you hear!
I'm so mad that I only just discovered these guys 5 years too late... I've watched this video probably every day this week and it gets to me every time...
P
Agree
The video is killer. The opening is sensational. Who would not follow a drummer going into a battle & a fight!?
Just discovered this band as this video popped onto my recommended. From a composition standpoint this is truly a masterpiece. The way it builds from just a single snare drum into a full on orchestra/choir is amazing. Not only that but the way the snare is constant throughout the song but not annoying. As each new layer is added the snare fades into the background. 10/10
Consider yourself lucky! I discovered them two years ago, and I'm amazed by how many really good songs they have. About 20 are amazing, and maaaany more are really good!
@@Neferens had the same experience
me too
I normally don't care for drums, just a load of rattling and clattering I could well do without.
This though is different and of course would be a complete flop without the drummer girl.
Es ist nie zu spät für gute Musik, gute Entdeckungen... ❤
I don't know what this group is. But even if they had been silent for 26 years and created only this clip, this time would not have been wasted ... A real masterpiece. Thank you
Yeah man Ive never heard of them before but this is one of the best songs ive ever heard.....and I heard a lot of songs in my lifetime!
@@PPdabest - As have I (I'am 54yrs old) and I think that this is a bloody great
effort, seeing's how, as the bloke in the very first Post in the whole comment
section put it, "It's as if Death was rounding everything from the past ..... for
one last March", it's apparently the Band's last Album, so I think what there
trying to go for is something like "O.K, let's Sing It Again, Sam" one last time,
and saying to their audience as well, "You Must Remeber This", as the title in
English apparently means "Then As Now, Forever" , witch just such a cool thing
a message perhaps ti their most ardent fans, that they will ALWAYS be there for
them, that they may not be together now, or ever again, but, don't be afraid to
still march on, into the future with hope, peace and maybe a more than a little
love in your heart!!
@@karlmuller3690 Couldn't agree more, and I'm nearly 70!! I was young when performers could write and perform music that was worthwhile to listen to. The 70-ties and 80-ties were the best decades IMO.

30seconds in to it, i'm getting goose bumps a few seconds later, i cried... i cried becaused it touches me in a way that makes me feel good, i startet to smile an an overwhelming feeling overcomes me. i started to feel, luck, power and passion u know. i enjoyed it deeply and repeated it after and after. the last time i had such a feeling was on m83-outro....
this track, the music makes mee fell good in some sort of way, i'm a little bit depressed for some time but as soon as i listen to this, i start to watch forwards. good god i love when music hit the right spot, the right nerve and you can start imagine things!!!

This song came out the same year that my brother passed away. It's just come up as a recommendation now, 7 years and 15 days after the anniversary of that day and it still resonates so beautifully.
I find it fascinating that none of their other music, at least the pieces I have listened to, are anything like this one. This is an amazing piece of music and video. I have listened to it over a hundred times since I found it, by accident.
Good ! The same thing .Since I heard it once I come here time and time again
Ditto! love this song and video. Watched it so many times. And found it by accident as well.
Kinda sad, really. Thought I found a cool new band, but the rest of their music is meh.
@@CristiNeagu I have to agree with you. None of their other music is particularly interesting or attractive to me. But this one piece...including the video...is quite something.
@@culphome I think the most disappointing thing for me is that the drummer girl isn't even part of the band.
This is an announcement video by the rock band Kent, the most famous rock band in Sweden of all time (Edit: Please noice that Abba are not a rock band). They're announcing that they'll do their last album and tour this year with this video. In this awesome video there's a lot of references to their old album covers, music videos and lyrics which makes the video even better if you know about them. For example the tiger, the airplane, the girl in the jeans jacket and the girl on the horse are all from album covers.
👍👍
+Erik Nilsson Thanx for the info I saw a link to this from reddit and had to check it out.
This band sounds AWESOME.
+Erik Nilsson Most successful? What about The Hives or Johnossi? There are so many successful Swedish rock bands, and I've never heard of this one. Do you mean most successful in Sweden?
They've sold more albums than both Hives and especially Johnossi, played for 26 years and released 12 albums. No other swedish rock band comes close to that. But since they sing in swedish it's not likley you've heard of them if your not from scandinavia. In Sweden no other band even comes close to them in popularity.
Erik Nilsson Ok, so I guess they're just not as international.
This video... Goes in the soul directly, run in your veins and no words will come out.
Kommer aldrig glömma konserten i göteborg, övertygad att alla grät i slutet det var så jävla fint. Kent för alltid mitt hjärta 🖤
WOW, I'm in America and 63 years old. I recently found this video and can't get enough of it. I have to watch it at least twice a week. So this band is gone?
Mike Kantor yeah, sorry my friend !
I bought an album of theirs when I was in Sweden in the mid 2000s. Love them and when I saw this video I was transported back to the people and culture of a time long ago in my life and then saw it was a retirement announcement. I was a litte crushed and very impressed by the video... also very sad this doesn't exist as a downloadable track.
I agree, it is beautiful isn't it?
Come to Scandinavia anytime between October and March and you get the "feel" of this every day, any day! (especially the weather) =)
Now you know what it's like to be someone of my generation who finds some awesome music, and wants to see them in concert, only to find out the lead killed himself in 1979 and the band broke up, or died of a drug overdose in 1970.
This has to be one of the best pieces of music AND video art that have ever been made. absolutely brilliant. gives me chills every time. i am very sad that the band stopped, but this finale was an absolute masterpiece.
bands are known to re-form and have comebacks, one can hope.
Always best to go out on a high note.
This has to be the undisputed soundtrack of choice if the Swedish people ever have to go to war. Cause DAMN!
Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever
(Apokalypsis - Chapter 5:13)
To bad this was the best song they ever did and nothing else ever sounded anything like it.
I do come back regularly just to appreciate the incredible musical talents and visuals shown in thi s one video .......... and, admittedly, to feel so sad that I never discovered them earlier, to be able to appreciate the indirect references to previous works. For the past decade, I've been far too busy watching videos of "current events" unfolding in the world to discover the true golden gems that were being created in the artistic realm.
This is one of those songs that make me wish the world would come together. Like many others I had never heard of Kent or other Bands worldwide until recently. We are missing out on the cultures of other people's that could bring us together rather than push us apart.

Never heard of the group. Don't know their music, but I often will watch this video. Now for me it will be an archeological exploration into Kent.
The references are very cleverly and subtly done. For example, the girl after one minute: her fashion style and hairstyle are clearly from early 2000s when Kent were really in the heyday. Like a typical Kent fan from that time 😊
Seriously, why can I not stop listening to this???? I am addicted. Its simple but deep!!

I will never forget you. I had dreamt of visiting and studying in Sweden ever since when I became a big fan of you (in 2007). I made awesome memories for many years with my friend who is also a big fan(it is pretty rare in South Korea) when I had bad and boring days - as many Korean secondary school students go through. And then, finally I visited Sweden last year after I graduated from university, one of my bucketlist items achieved. I traveled in many Swedish cities with their music, and bought their new album 'Tigerdrottningen' at the Pet Sounds, in Södermalm, Stockholm. (Another item left in my bucketlist(about Sweden) is to get a Ph.D. in Sweden. I hope it comes true, too.) At that time, I dreamed that they would last at least five years or more, maybe forever - in the raptures of happiness(because I bought their CD in their homeland) -. Yesterday, they came out with this video 'Då som nu för alltid'. It makes me cry. I know, I have to accept it. Yes, you guys will last forever in my mind as you are, as now. Perhaps, I will go there again this year to see their last tour. Your songs are still my pillar and keep me going when I feel tired of my days. Uhhh, cannot describe how much I love you in my bad English! Literally, I LOVE you guys. Tack för alla era låtar. A sincere fan from South Korea
+Seo-jeong Joo Your text made me tear up. Go back to Stockholm this summer, see them live one last time! I hope you will make a life in Sweden one day.
+Seo-jeong Joo Your English is good, actually. May all your wishes in your bucketlist come true.
SeoJeong Joo i'm curious, how did you first hear of them?
+stefaneirelius I heard 'Socker' by coincidence, my friend posted the song on his blog in 2006-2007 I guess. That is the first time I heard their song. And now I am studying in Finland now. I wanted to study in Sweden but I couldn't because of the high tuition fee, I can't afford. But i am living close to Sweden, i can get there in 1 hour by plane! But still 'min slutstation är Stockholm.' Stockholm is really meaningful city for me. Kent made my life. :)
Bucket list????? From a Korean?? Do you know what a "Bucket" is? -"Tack för alla era låtar." -Thanks, from Sweden!

@@JarnoValtonen thanks Jarno !!!
@@fernandogodoy3607 no problem :)
Beautiful it takes my breath away it’s uplifting music, bravo!
This song brings me through this terrible pandemia. Thanks am still here.
.
English: This song helped me learn the snare drum and the regular drums. I still come back to respect this song and how much it helped me and I still play this beat on stage to pay my respects.

Can't deny the good vibes. Of things like this we feel from this.

They're gone. That was the point of the video.
@@newworldforward1842 Oh, really 😉
i always keep back to this every year, it’s the rythm and just everything that drags me to it.
this is weird. i heard this song once, and went back to listen to it again.
and right now i wish for an entire hour repeat version for this.
love this song
The day after you I discovered this. I also wish it was a lot longer.
This song its so good🙏
Ditto,here,in Nevada,USA.. ..the mood,created is envixing. Thankyou
this is pure genius, I love it. I keep finding myself wanting to watch it again.
Watched this video multiple times since I discovered it. ❤
I need a coffee maker that plays this song while brewing😆
@Louise Sundström verkligen?
'Talking about me?
Left hand brews coffee, right hand hits repeat button....
Actually there are coffee machines where you can add mp3 as a sound
O the power of one song. I just downloaded every album, single, B-side, mix, mention and reflection Kent ever put out.
wow.
Keep them close to your chest at all times
2016 wasn't ready for this kind of art, but here we're in 2023 people can now relate their realities with this masterpiece.
Truly.
Not sure what you mean by that? This video is a summary of their career. How is that different today than now?
geweldig stukje muziek, begint simpel, maar loopt enorm op, met diep gevoel. Het is niet hoog dravend, moeilijk, ingewikkelde muziek, maar pakt toch wel degelijk op de een of andere manier. Goed stuk.
This song is from 5 years ago.
Why is this being played in my music list?
Why does it bring a tear of joy to my eye?
I've never heard of this band before?
I don’t know it makes me cry too it just feels like a massive release like the happy ending of a movie almost, it’s this feeling like you’ve just suffered immensely and now you can see the finish line. So epic.
It brings a tear because it is the band last song. The end of their band. Melancholy.
Kent was maybe sending a message, but it is a signal stay together - we are all the same. I play this song
every evening from my balcony.
That's a great idea. Everyone should do this every morning till these strange times are over.
2024 who's still here❤

It was because of this video that I found them on Itunes and purchased three of their CD's. Can't understand a word of what they sing because I don't speak Swedish, but they are very good!
Har alltid forvented et slik kvalitet. Her fant jeg den
My love affair with kent was short but intense, as I discovered the band just 1,5 years before it dissolved. I was lucky to attend a concert on that very farewell tour they announced with this video, driving from Germany to Aarhus which was the southernmost point of the tour. Their music is still worth exploring if you haven‘t already. A good starting point would be „Mannen i den vita hatten“, imho their best song.
I think this song has a meaning that many of us didn’t understand until now.
Yes. I am 80 years old on a small farm in eastern Canada, watching the Covid dictators crush
us down. This is exactly how I feel as I prepare to do what must be done.
@@mondopinion3777 Keep faith, keep holding on. Do what you can, small things to bring light to others nearby! Ive been in the east, wish i could be there now closer to family.
Watching this 5 years to the day. Still really cool.
