The Weather Channel has been doing a horrible job reporting this storm for Texans. All Sunday they've been in Rockport. When it's been plain to see this storm will be devastating between Galveston, Bay City, Wharton to Pasadena (in that box) for the rain, wind and tornados and not one TWC reporter has reported in that box. TWC covered this storm better when it was in the Carribean than South Texas. Thanks KHOU.

The eye appears to be predicted to go right over "The South Texas Project Electric Generating Station" at 2:15 AM, Cat-1, 85 mph sustained, most likely 110 peak gusts, along with 6-8 inches of rain directly on its cooling pond.
I don't know... weather events are so overhyped these days that its more likely peak gusts are 81, and sustained will be mid/high 50's. In Victoria we are prepared for anything coming our way. We're on the backside of the storm now.
As tornados may be forming right on the coast, might some have the possibility to become Sharknados?
Nah, the storm will be going over water with smaller fish so possible guppynados.

I don’t know what the big fuss is about. 60 miles an hour winds is just a stiff breeze in Texas.
As long as the river authority doesn't open the gates of the Lake Conroe dam (as they did during Harvey's landfall) Houston should be okay.
By the looks of the predicted storm track, there is a good chance they will.
