Blackwater Falls State Park is famous for the Blackwater falls which has amber-colored waters and its the most visited park in West Virginia. The "black" water is a result of tannic acid from fallen hemlock and red spruce needles. The park is located in the Allegheny Mountains of Tucker County, West Virginia. Fall is the best time to visit the park because of the breathtaking views of the Allegheny Mountains of Tucker County, waterfalls and overlooks with beautiful autumn colors.
