It doesn't work in practice. I can get the clip on the strap but then the camera is positioned on top of my shoulder.
Hi it will fit differently depending on how your straps are sized, you bag size and your actually torso and chest size.
same problem for me, they've released this new Strap Booster Kit which might fix it?
Hi. I have an question. Just ordered version x70 from local shop in Poland that was on promo and would like to know if the new design shoulder straps are available. The ones with bigger pocket for the Smartphone. In the shop You can buy shoulder strap plus from x70
I use the thumb screws and it works just fine. I would rather have the pockets on the pack vs. not. I can deal with an awkwardish fitting capture clip. The only design flaw on the explore v2 series is the smaller outside pocket. It’s not usable if you have something in the middle section and Vice verse. Bit it’s still one of the best packs I have ever used.
I also prefer the pockets :) with regards to the 'smaller outside pocket' - which one do you mean? Front of the bag with logo?
@@ShimodaDesigns the smaller pocket on the very back (back as in the furthest away from your body) under the Shimoda name and logo on the Explore 35 V2. You can either use the middle full length pocket or the smaller outer pocket, but each takes up the others space.
@@PrestonGladd Its not really designed to have bulk items in both at the same time. The front panel pocket your referring too is for slimmer items and helps with the front panel shape.
I attach the capture clip on the webbing where you tuck the ring under. A little bit high but works for me as I slide the camera in sideways in this setup. The reason why I attach it there is because I am worried that using the capture clip on the strap would permanently change its shape.
Using devices like CC will compromise the shoulder strap. I would avoid significant weight but also take off when not in use. With that said, our straps are made from EVA which rebounds much better than padding most shoulder straps are made of. It is a much higher density.
That’s what I did but somehow I still lost it. I also made sure it was super tightly screwed..
where do u get the allen bolt screw ? i don't remember get that from peak design clip

It should come with the CC. They may offer it separately too. Sorry, I do not know if they offer different versions.
On my 70l Action X, I found it didn’t seem to work, so I used the Pro Pad through the webbing and lowered the position of the clip. Can upload a picture of there is a way ?

I didn’t d try both of those methods, being 6ft 5 ins the first method put the clip too high and the second was too awkward getting the camera in and out. I thread the pro pad through the webbing on the second method, but the way the clip attaches to the pro pad it’s sits lower and hangs better. I can email you an image, we have been in touch before via email, might be worthwhile for other tall people.
What webbing are you referring to? I've been trying to figure out a way to use the Pro Pad with it for this purpose, but I just can't figure out how you have it.
Hey Shimoda, am I right that there is no shopping option for the standard shoulder strap of X50? Like we can purchase the one on X70 separately.(Plus Shoulder Straps)

This does not work on the women’s tech straps. The sternum strap ridge prevents closure.
