In the last mission of Lost and Damned, Johnny straight-up says he has a weakness for women, and mentions that drugs ruined Billy in just five years. Five years later, it ruined him too.

@@MrBlack252 True, but it's easy to see how he might have fallen into it. His weakness for women caused him to let Ashley back into his life, and losing everything by the end of the story probably made him join her in her meth addiction in order to take the edge off.

Some of yall wondering why Johnny ended up doing drugs because of Ashley, I guess yall forgot about San Andreas. Sweet, a guy that was against Crack throughout all the game, even he almost gave in and fell victim to trying Crack from a prostitute before CJ came in and stopped him. Johnny obviously must've not have had anyone to stop him.

But the common denominator is that Trevor keeps going back to the meth. He's 100 percent addicted to meth and is weak for it. Johnny’s disintegration from badass biker viking to a scrawny eggshell walker that can’t even defend himself is one of the strongest anti-drug PSAs out there.
When I first played GTA V, I had no idea who Johnny Klebitz was, I just saw Trevor kill some spineless little twat, then he kills the rest of his pussy boy biker club in the span of a single afternoon because reasons.
But now that I've played The Lost and Damned, I can't believe they would treat a player character with such disrespect and then kill him so casually and unnecessarily like that.
The only other player character with a canonical death is Victor Vance. He only became a player character postmortem but at least his death meant something. It directly ties to Lance's character and influences his actions during the events of Vice City. That game's story would've had to go a completely different way if Vic had survived the ambush, or if there never was an ambush. Tommy would never have met Lance and the story would play out very differently if Vic was still alive. His death is narratively justifiable, Victor Vance had to die in order for a story to happen.
In GTA V, they kill Johnny so unceremoniously that I genuinely believed him to be just some random dude that had nothin to do with nothin. A nameless nobody to be used as a sacrificial lamb to show how batshit insane this new Trevor guy is. He's a real nutcase, man. He stomped a dude's brains in and killed all his friends with minimal effort. Why? Fuck em, that's why. It's TREVOR BIYATCH!
Random NPCs getting caught in crossfire died with more dignity than Johnny. He's not my favorite character by any means, nor did I particularly like the Lost and Damned, but as a player character Johnny deserved much better than this. If he really did have to die for some reason, then his death should have had more meaning than "Violently murdered by a guy who's already been established as a violent murderer". The events of GTA V would've gone exactly the same if that was some random dude, or if Trevor didn't kill anyone that day. His death meant nothing.
I personally didn't care for the Lost and Damned but a lot of other people really did, show some fuckin respect. As a writer, you should never kill a character just cuz. There should always be a reason and that reason should always be worth that character's life. Killing a character for shock value is the writing equivalent of kicking someone in the nuts: it guarantees a reaction, but not by being difficult to pull off.
An off screen death you hear on a news station or offhandedly mentioned in conversation would've been more respectful than this, this is just plain bad writing, come on.
With Victor Vance, he was originally a one scene bit character who they went back and turned into a character with depth.
Johnny K was a character with depth who they went forward and turned into a one scene bit character.

Johnny Klebitz became a completely different character than he was in the DLC on purpose by Rockstar,Johnny pushed away Ashley from his life and never fall from the drugs,but to make Trevor a likable character they left Johnny's true story left to rotten making everyone believe in a lie.

For those who are justifying Johnny's Death and his downfall because of Ashley, you may think it pretty much explains it all, but that's just what Trevor and Rockstar wants you to think. I don't think people realize that Rockstar basically just used him of all people to straight up ruin his character that they've worked so hard for for no reason besides to make a new character's introduction more badass. After finishing the story of Tlad in GTA IV, Johnny left Ashley and even told her she can kill herself on her own after asking him for money in the ending, and he had always despised meth and drugs considering he saw what meth did to Billy. Johnny stop loving Ashley the way he used to and even told her, *_"Damn it Ash, I used to fucking love you!"_* and never once consumed any type of drugs throughout the story and was able to be a Great Leader who was actually smart and could think straight or logically and knew what was best for his brothers. That was his Character for the entirety of Tlad. That being said, there's literally no confirmation from the story nor what happened offscreen to be able to prove how Johnny got back with Ashely, and there's only one explanation involving the writers of the game, and that is that Rockstar put a lot of effort and detail in Johnny's Character, only for them to use him and throw everything in the trash by killing him off in the very next game, and since then they've never explained as to why they chose to make that decision until now for over a decade after making such a great story DLC of him. Rockstar basically retconned the whole thing.

Don't tell me to remember what never happened, and instead, why don't you try to focus on the events that DID happen and the kind of things Rockstar would totally do with their games.

In a sense, I agree with Trevor, Johnny's biggest weakness besides the meta is Ashley and plus in Tlad Johnny himself says that he has a weakness for those people whom he cares about or is close to.
Fun fact, Angels Of Death's Original chapter is founded in San Andreas yet it's not seen back in GTA 5, they could have had trevor killing a lot of AOD members and help The Lost MC or do something else with the lore of the series.
I believe they're from San Fierro and that's why we don't see a Los Santos Chapter, but they have a park in Vice City and I hope we can see the vice chapter

After playing the lost and damned i was shocked that rockstar killed off johnny like he was nothing, compared to when he was badass in gta 4 i wouldn't mind if he was like a antagonist to trevor throughout the game where they fight over taking the countryside then have a boss battle at the end but oh well.
That's what they'd do if R* had smart writers, no. Instead, we get a million little forgettable antagonists that we see throughout the story. That goes for each protagonist.

I didn't play the DLC, I never seen a mission, but from what I read and from what I see, Johnny is a big deal.

Johnny's death really surprised me in my first playthrough. I wasn't a fan of that part, but it kinda added an engaging twist. If they had included a big Niko cameo, I think it might've felt kinda forced and boring in comparison. Niko is one of my favorite characters, but it's not necessary for him to appear in 5
That's because he disappears with out a trace in sandy shores prior to the beginning of gta v as you can find his signature brown jacket at the yellowjack bar but Nico Belic himself is nowhere to be seen with subtle signs of struggle throughout the place!

It is true. He was successful back in Liberty City, despite all the shit Ashley put him through. At the end of Lost and Damned he had a chance to get out, dump Ashley, quit drugs and start a new life. He didn't. He made the same mistake again, simped for Ashley, took crystal and took a path downhill. This lifestyle couldn't have lead him to a happy end. I wish it turned out better for him.

Yes Johnny was apart of the main story in GTA 4 and even had a DLC expansion of his own called the Lost and the Damned. You should play it it's really good and if you do you will see the vast difference in his character and how his inclusion in 5 the way it was made little to no sense.
Still the dumbest plot point ever, the L.C. chapter was done for and Johnny wasn't interested in continuing the gang. You can tell Ashley to fuck off post-game in a polite or not-so-polite way through her final email. TLAD wasn't that popular when it launched because of lack of content, this was just the Housers thinking that meant the fans hated it.

I think Johnny's voice actor was in bad position with Rockstar, that's my suggestion why they "did" that. Now i think the fate of Johnny Klebitz will also fall on another character outside of GTA or Rockstar. The character in question was Mary Jane from Marvel's Spider-Man, because of the controversy with the face, and causing her actress to leave. I think Mary Jane will follow Johnny in the grave because of it.
Rockstar didnt know what to do with him.once they burned down the lost mc at the end of the game it was clear gta5 wouldnt had continued with johnny anymore.too many had died mc was indeed weak at the end of the game
They could've made him cameo in this game much like he did but not be a drug addict simp that gets easily destroyed by Trevor. His entire purpose in this game was just to introduce a new character and make it seem like the new character Trevor is just so psychotic and crazy and unpredictable that he killed the ultra badass Johnny Klebitz. But while doing this they completely recalled everything that Johnny was and stood for. There is no way in hell Johnny would've gotten addicted to meth and followed Ashley around like a lost dog simping out while she gets railed by Trevor. Johnny would've left her like he did at the end and would've done his own thing. Like you said, the Lost was pretty much done for by the end of LATD so for him to be in Los Santos on the other side of the country, parading around with the remnants of the Lost is completely out of character. Rockstar sacrificed one of their best characters just to introduce a new one. It was a very stupid move on their part. TLATD Johnny would've killed Trevor in a heartbeat. He would've absolutely decimated Trevor. Even if they didn't want to revisit Johnny and they still wanted and needed the Lost to play a part in Trevors story, they could've simply not added Johnny at all and made references to him like "Johnny took off from the Lost years ago and nobody knows where he went" something. Much like they did with Niko, they reference Niko a bunch of times and even show that he is alive and well still living in Liberty City as a taxi driver with Roman as it shows his Lifeinvader page and when you look at it, it says "Updated 17 minutes ago" with Niko writing "Happy Birthday Roman." So that just means Romans wife dying is canon. All I'm saying is they didn't have to do Johnny like this, this was just in bad taste.
Cockstar destroyed such a legendary gang having Niko kill Jason Michaels for dating a mobster's daughter and killing Jim which doesn't make sense then later having Johnny kill Brian and Billy and 5 years later Johnny Terry and Clay dying in 5

I mean I could maybe understand if they did and it excelled and progressed Trevors main story and arc, but it literally did nothing except cause cheap, temporary shock. It had no lasting impact on the main story and was completely unnecessary. Johnny could've been replaced with a random NPC and it all would've been the same. Just absolutely ridiculous and meaningless to make a beloved character go out like that. Now that I'm thinking about it, I don't think Rockstar ever treated a main GTA character like they did with Johnny. Out of all of the characters, none of them got punked out and killed easily like Johnny. Claude didn't, Tommy didn't, CJ didn't, Niko didn't, Luis didn't, Tony didn't, etc. I mean maybe you could make a case for Lance Vances brother but even then he was just killed by a drug deal gone wrong and when he was killed he wasn't even an established character. So yeah they took Johnny out like that and he's the only main character that got treated that way. Terrible because Johnny is actually one of my favorites.

Sometimes folks are true to their words and work really word for it. Whereas some just could not let go. Sadly, Johnny was in fact weak for Ashley.
Another sad fact is that when Ashley was in a situation especially a life or death moment, Johnny was her in a way a shining knight rescuing the maiden.
Though after his death, he was no longer there to save Ashley when she was reported dead somewhere in the Blaine County area up north in a motel in San Andreas according to Weezel News headline.
Unless if somehow GTA Online pulls yet another miraculous survival for Ashley bent on rebuilding The Lost or such, much like Dr. Friedlander in GTAO implying either he had escaped Michael’s vengeful wrath, or emerges from the flaming wreckage unscathed.
Well Trevors hypocrisy is a huge part of his character. The problem is that the Johnny we all know from TLATD would have never ended up like this. I'm surprised his original voice actor came back to do it because I wouldn't have. Then again, money talks when you don't have a bunch. However, Rockstar is known for underpaying their actors. That aside the Ashley outcome differs from whether or not you choose to kill her then and there. If you kill her then, that's that. But if you don't then later you will see on Lifeinvader that she messages Ron and says "you're all going to pay for what you did to Johnny."
No chance, she is very dead, they can't undo what was in the news about the orgy, her name is among the dead. But I would love to see Johhny back like in a wheelchair, or some of the Angels of Death contracting Lucia to kill Trevor because of what he did.

After all these years I've finally come to terms with Johnny's death. I believe it's one of those "not everyone gets a happy ending" things.
After all he went through in tlad, I think his downfall makes sense, especially after his best friend Jim's death and having to kill Billy was what sent him down the path of depression that led to looking for some kind of comfort with that terrible woman Ashley, his drug addiction and finally his death as the shell of the man he once was

Rockstar always does this, criminals don't get a happy ending and they want you to know that. Johnny was a fan favourite and died in GTA5 at the hands (or feet?) of Trevor. I suspect we'll see Trevor's death or hear of it in GTA6.

It would be like in GTA 6 when it comes out, if the female character smokes Trevor with a gun out of no where just to show she isn't scared to hurt civilians, and all Trevor did was say he didn't want to hurt anyone then dies. It would make no sense based on all of GTA 5 and seem like a waste. Trevor not being crazy would be like Johnny getting back on substances and with Ashley, it makes absolutely no sense. Both stories establish that as there main character traits by the end, so to throw away is what people don't like.

I don't know what have happened between GTA IV and V that led to Johnny's downfall like this. He was sharp minded in TLaD and leveled. He should have given Ashly a choice - drugs or recovery. Yeah that was just lazy writing considering the end of lost and damned, he cut his ties to Ashley cause her dumb ass got jim killed, he managed to still make off with the diamond money, and had a soild crew of clay and terry and angus, he couldve easily rebuilt a chapter and been even better from the growth he made, johnny was a actual sensable leader and was holding shit down as leader when billy was locked up, the whole ashley and drugs gimmick was a cop out and just lazy ass writing, johnny never fucked with drugs because he was disgusted with seeing what it turned ashely and billy into, and he wasnt even all that depressed at the end of lost and damned because he still had Terry clay and angus, they just needed a cheap shock to try and sell trevor

Killing off Johnny is one of the reasons I really don't like the story of GTA V. All throughout it they took characters from GTA IV and either ruined then killed them or just straight-up killed them and it left me with a bad taste in my mouth like the writers just had a horrible disdain for everything that GTA IV was and is.
