Usually, every time Dain talks about the Archons in his collected miscellany, he always tends to speak a little of hate to them at the end. But this time for Furina, it is more of a concern than condemnation.
He did decide to leave Nahida alone.
Probably because we’d solve his immortality problem if he didn’t.

I just love how long it took to explain Furina's kit. Compared to old characters which only took maybe around 3 minutes to explain, hers took almost 7 mins.
And i think her character demo was the longest among other character

The end of the video foreshadows a major point in her archon quest. One of the best quests in the entire game! well done, Mihoyo.

I love how Furina got a vision and immediately summoned a posse of emotional support companions to help her with her trauma. I can't wait until the next time we see her in an event or story.
She may not be an Archon but she is still easily one of the strongest characters in the entire game, albeit mentally instead of physically.

Oh 100%, there is "Furina" and there is "Focalors". Between this and the version trailer I'm convinced they're two separate beings, or at least personalities- the klutzy, blustering Furina contrasted with the elegant, refined puppetmaster Focalors. That's why Furina is so confident preparations are being made, but doesn't seem to have details when pressed- Focalors made the preparations, and intentionally hid them from Furina to maintain the illusion of incompetence. It's all leading up to something big, and I honestly can't wait to see a Celestial Nail dropped on the whole nation.

@@Kean__yd Half, I'd say - Focalors does exist 'separately' from Furina in a way, and does have distinct personality traits of her own, but the manner of her appearance is quite different.
As for the nail, yeah, that was never gonna happen. Never in a thousand years is Mihoyo going to make an entire region unplayable.

The most important part of Furina's kit isn't even mentioned here. She has a dolphin jump. Furina, being who she is, doesn't even surface from below the water like a normal person if she's swimming rapidly, she jumps full power into the air and, provided you're near the shore, smashes face first at full speed into the nearest piece of land.

Every female character from Fontaine does that including the traveler. Male fontaine characters have a dolphin jump too but it looks different.
She's surprisingly intuitive to play, in spite of the long descriptions. It mostly just boils down to her skill either doing dmg or providing heals. Use her charged attack to toggle. Ult buffs both when criteria is met (basically whenever you lose or restore HP).
Yeah, it't similar to Childe's elemental skill switching his combat stances between bow and melee attacks.
Tbh, most skills are surpringly simple, it's just that MHY tends to write character skill description witth as much purple prose as possible with a thousand different names for all the effects.

Remember when people first though that the Hydro Archon was going to either be Seele or Druandal? I guess everyone moved on to expecting the Pyro Archon to being Himeko.
Not move on. The Pyro Archon being Himeko is one of Genshin's earliest headcanon.

@@richcast66 That's true, and both also wield Hydro; but that's what makes it even more fascinating that one is defined by her belief that Fate is absolute and her life's purpose to decypher its ways, a mortal bent on teaching people to accept their fate and deal with it, while the other lives only to deceive Fate itself, an Archon trying to cheat the very rules that divine authority is believed to stand for, all for the good of the people. They are similar units in a game, but opposites in terms of storytelling; similar in how they present themselves, but opposites in their beliefs and drives, in soul.

I can’t believe I made it this far omg. Fontaine is my favorite region, and Furina is my favorite archon. Can’t believe I actually got this far, and somehow saved 220 wishes for her (pulling for Lyney, Neuvillette and Wriothesley, getting them all being F2P). Y’all can picture my love for Fontaine 💙

@@kittysennpaii97 no no! I pulled for those three, and somehow I still managed to save 220 for Furina’s banner. When Lyney was released I had almost 400 wishes saved 💀. So the 220 I have right now is a mix between leftovers and new wishes obtained through this patches

I noticed that Dainslieff never called her "Archon" or showed disdain on her like he did with other archons.
Quite a rare instance where Dain doesn't make a too scathing remark, and to an Archon, no less.
Furina maybe a fake archon. But she most certainly the best written one
I usually come to these videos to learn more about characters I don't yet own. This is the first time I'm watching this after already having the character in question, and having already tried out and/or being aware of all that Dain is mentioning. ^^

Fontaine got me back into Genshin, I thought Wriothesley’s play style was fun but then I did Furina’s trial. She had me dropping my jaw the entire time from fun animations and her Salon guests - hoping I pull her because she made Genshin fun again for me!

There is something off about Furina. I doubt Hoyo simply forgot to do this but unlike the other archons, Furina doesn't have an aura in the character select screen. Also in her profile, she doesn't have a gnosis like the other archons or a vision like regular characters. Her hair also doesn't glow when using abilities. I gotta keep doing the archon quests to know what's going on

My only complaint about furina is that when multiple players are using furina they both can’t walk on water. I get that we can’t have all the salon members from each furina but as long as furina skill is active any furina in the game should walk on water. I was sm looking forwards to running on water with my friends in coop but only one furina can do it at a time.. so I have to switch to ayaka or wanderer. Ik that kokomi can also but her duration is sm shorter then the other options. Even Rizzley can stay afloat longer.. 😢

@@Artic77He’s not entirely right. The one with the white clothes and long hair was when Furina was pretending to be Focalors, while the one black clothes and short hair is how she looks now. There isn’t a lore reason she can do this (as I know of), it more just a cool cosmetic thing
So curious to see where she got that vision and why she has one in thr first place

It's because the archon quest was questioning whether she was an archon and archons don't have visions so it was a way to not spoil the story.

I pulled for Furina based on the Fischl Archon factor alone: her...unique personality. Her utility passive is crap, but the Jesus powers are great. I still don't understand her kit well, I don't know how to build fanfarre, seems she'll need at least C1 and maybe C2, her imaginary friends are kinda creepy, straight out of American McGee's "Alice: Madness Return", except the Singer of Many Water, but he's imobile. Overall, I'm very satisfied even though her audience vignette make the game looks silly. Most of all, I'm just glad I didn't lose yet another 50/50 to Mona, who alongside Keqing, are the only ones I get since I started playing in 2.8
Now its time to work for Navia, my last hope of geo salvation.
