      @Tah BOO right, I was making fun of them. Kyle had no business being there and certainly not with a gun that wasn't his. Why his parents weren't charged was surprising, especially since they charged the parents in this Michigan case.

    • @Xoulrath_
      @Xoulrath_ Před 2 lety

      @Tah BOO yeah I agree 100%. I genuinely feel bad for Kyle because I truly believe that his parents put him in that situation in the first place. He was 17 I believe when his incident went down. Humans don't really stop developing mentally until almost 25.
      As we've both mentioned now, the entire night could have been avoided had he not been in a state that he didn't live in, trying to defend property that he didn't own. But that would have required at least competent parenting.
      You also bring up a good point that Kyle had a right to defend himself, but how much of that need did he create because he had the gun?
      Hopefully the kid realizes that he got a second chance and fixes his life. As for this Michigan school case, if the parents truly are guilty of their son's behavior and his gun access, then they of course should be found guilty.
      But I worry about precedent being set where all of a sudden all parents are immediately responsible for everything that their teenage children do. Anyone with children knows that at a certain point, you don't really control that individual anymore. This could be dangerous territory legally.

    • @meself349
      @meself349 Před 2 lety +1

      The parents should not have brought that kid a gun as a gift if that's what happened or at least they should not have let him have access to it if they bought it for themselves. But in the final analysis the school could have prevented the deaths of those 4 kids. They had MANY resources to make sure that that kid did not go back to class that day whether the parents wanted him to or not. They are mandated reporters. They completely failed in their responsibility to keep those four kids that were killed safe while they were attending that school. That is their legal responsibility. And now they're trying to play defensive ball. The school superintendent blatantly lied right after the shooting in that public announcement saying that there was no indication that Ethan Crumbley posed any kind of threat. . Obviously there WAS because that was what the whole meeting was with his parents was about on the day of the shooting. And now the prosecutor is charging the child AND his parents but interestingly nothing is being said about the school's criminal negligence. Perhaps certain individuals at the school should be charged with "involuntary manslaughter" as well or at the very least criminal negligence. But no. Nothing. The principle of the school or whomever it was that made the final decision to allow that kid go back to class and not even search his backpack or get the police or child protective services involved should be going to jail as well. But the prosecutor says nothing about that. Perhaps because she just started that job and she doesn't want to make enemies with the with more power people than the Crumbley parents. They're a softer and safer target.

      Yeah the school failed miserably. Public schools have been provided training and resources for trouble teens ever since Columbine happened. The prosecutor going after the parents is absolutely political, who has been running their mouth giving their feelings about the parents. It's incredibly unprofessional. It all makes sense once you know who funds these DAs and prosecutors. The parents can face civil charges, that's fine, but going after them with criminal charges is incredibly dangerous and will set precedent that will degrade the justice system even further. The school needs to face accountability for sure, their councilors are supposed to report this kind of behavior in the appropriate manner. They could have stopped this, the parents could have done something as well but they do not deserve criminal charges. Sadly most ignorant people don't understand this situation and all of the facts, especially the politically motivated charges which is completely against conduct for DAs and prosecutors. It's sick, especially when the corporate press is just as ignorant as their devout followers. They should be reporting on how these charges are completely unwarranted and potentially devastating to the legal system.
      This same logic can be applied to parents who bought a car for their 16 year old girl, who ran over people at high school football game. People need to stop being tribal and call these S0r0s bought district attorneys and prosecutors. They all follow the same anti-Am3ricann agenda and want to destroy the good parts of the legal system. The Daily Mail just released an article about the devastating consequences of these S0r0s funded DAs and the prosecutors have intentionally caused across the country.

Should the school assume that all parents are narcissistic psychopaths? That could get ugly fast. The school is damned if they do and damned if they don't. If they had come down hard on the kid and he didn't have a gun (most children don't own guns) then the gun nuts in the right wing noise machine would have pilloried them for overreacting to a kid innocently showing interest in guns. Lets see....the Crumbley's already drew out all they had in the bank - $4,000. So all 4 sets of parents sue and win and they can split the $4000 and each take home $1000 while they pay their attorneys $25,000 each. Well that makes sense. They'll get more if they sue the state board of education - the ultimate authority for what happens in any school in the state.
