I wish I could magically have gone to that festival! The spider lilies are absolutely gorgeous, and there are so many of them! The river is lovely, too. The food - oh my goodness! I wanted to try everything you tried this time, and I have to thank you for showing us the anko around the 7-minute mark, and again later on, too! Ha ha ha! It made me laugh so much, and I was applauding from here in my little apartment. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful day-brightener. You two are really fantastic. I'm so sad. I wish I could find this kind of food in America. It looks so refreshing from the usual fast food and delivery that's constantly shoved in my face. 😔
I agree, it not only feel refreshing but healthy as well. I live in Dallas and I have to drive almost an hour to get some mediocre quality Japanese food. They always add something American to it, it's never 100% Japanese. I visited Tokyo twice and since then my life is not the same here in America. SAD
Lulakan I agree and it's always the same thing by the same manufacturer. Why can't we get some of the varieties at Seven Eleven or McDonald's, etc? I would probably eat there.
In most Asian "towns" across big cities in America you can find something similar, but not as good.

Watching these videos just solidifies the fact that the Japanese restaurants here in America are not as authentic as they say. I have never seen most of this stuff on any menu. I guess I will have to travel there someday.

ここのレッドカーペット、見頃は9月の23日前後、まさにお彼岸のころなんです。とっても短い期間なので、貴重なんですよね～。わらび餅、美味しいですよね～。よいワラビ粉がなかなか手に入りにくくなってきましたが、手に入ったら作りたいです。ここのワラビ餅、美味しかったです！

I love Japan!!!! Anime and Manga! Would love to visit and taste these beautiful Japanese food... I only order them thru restaurants here in Canada. It might be best to have it in Japan itself... thanks Shinichi and Satoshi for bringing us in there...hope to be there someday!
