- On October 28, 2015, my cat Chief had congestive heart failure. In the early morning of Oct 29, I brought him to the emergency veterinarian because he was having trouble breathing all night.
They put him in an oxygen box, and gave him Lasix. He was then more comfortable, and active. But the prognosis was bad, so I had them euthanize him. These are his final moments.
He was a great cat. - Zábava
Awwww so sorry fo your cats loss
I know I'm commenting yrs later, I just said goodbye to my sweet little friend and baby, MeMe oct 12 2022. Its never easy and is so heartbreaking 😔😢🐱🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🌷
Chief was great. Now my other cat has heart problems and diabetes. I'm not sure how long he'll last. But when I euthanize him, I'm going the be there for him rather than leaving him behind the way I did with Chief.
The ill cat is Luke, not Lola. Luke is 17 years old.
I'm sorry to hear that you lost your cat. I can hear the emotions in your voice. I can relate to this kind of experience.
I found your video because many of the viewer from this heartbreaking video were suggested mine. My video Enlarged heart- Why is my cat coughing. The description to my video explains the situation if its too difficult to watch.
My heart aches for you, truly. Been there myself. No matter how long they live, it's never long enough. 💔
Sorry to hear that, John
+Dan Caless Thanks, Dan. Nine days later I got another cat, Lola. A small, young black cat, to keep Luke company. She's great.

Hope everything is well with your household. Many happy years are wished to you all! 😻
So sorry for your loss. How old was he when he passed?
He was 10 years old.
Why the fuck does he have to stay in the box? Thats one hell of a way to have a kittie spend its last hour
I understand. I won't be repeating this with my next cat.
The box had high oxygen content in it. Outside the box, he could not breathe comfortably.
:(
Oh my god, when I watch this video it makes me want to cry so hard it looks a lot like my cat I have a cat that's a black Siberian Kitty and it's just seeing that cat about to get put down I think I'm My Own Kitty and it makes me want to hold her
He was a really big kitty, and not just because he was fat. A big, fluffy, gentle cat. He used to lie in doorways, and if you passed him too quickly, he'd "take his toll" by swiping at you. The gate keeper.
