    I just listened to a 3 hour long paid lecture by my local physical therapist about the lymphatic system! The whole system is very complicated, but the lecture was interesting and insightful with lots of theory and practical tips. If I hadn't seen your videos about the importance of breath, dry brushing and stimulating neurolymphatic points, I wouldn't have joined the class!

    Thank you for sharing this. I’ve really been missing one of my favourite instructors. She is ALL about the lymphatic system. In our yoga tune up classes and yoga classes she teaches us about brushing, bouncing, and working on areas that we don’t even think about. We use coregeous balls and blocks to help with alignment and bring breath and blood flow to these areas.
    I have tried searching for similar yoga classes online. But she’s definitely one of a kind! These tips are greatly appreciated. Thank you:)

    Thanks for all the great information in this video. I never knew bouncing was so good for us. I read something recently about how jumping (box jumps, jump rope, jumping jacks, long jumps, etc) is actually good for our joints and it promotes more cushioning between them. I assume for dry brushing, you get brushes that have very soft bristles?

    • @docjenfit
      @docjenfit  Před 4 lety +3

      It's amazing the simple things that can be beneficial for our body. As long as you make sure the bristles aren't hard or harsh, that is the main thing! Soft bristles would work!

    Great tips. I tried dry brushing for exfoliation and it felt awesome. Had no idea it had lymphatic benefits as well. I'll start doing it again. And, I'll start with my face too.

    • @docjenfit
      @docjenfit  Před 4 lety +2

      If you do it for about 2 minutes and focus on breath and relaxing, this should get your body to respond. You can always go longer though!

    The neurolymphatic point stimulation that is mentioned here is basically what acupressure and acupuncture is all about. Isn’t it funny how ancient medicine was centuries ahead of modern science?

    I do all of your suggestions, with the exception of facial dry brushing: didn't realize I could use a brush ( I've been doing daily facial lymphatic massage but am going to invest in a brush for my countenance! Lol). I feel such a difference when I also do my rebounding in the morning & evenings... gotta push out those toxins!).

    Finally got this one done! Thanks for the dry brushing reminder! I have one but forget to do it. Also, I love the loosey goosey jumping! 💜

  • @racheleastwood-stone8055

    Great lesson. Already been doing these thing but should be doing them more often. My arms /shoulders get fatigued doing dry brushing so sometimes I don't get the whole body finished. Often forget dace for brushing but do a guasha facial massage as part of my daily cleaning just using a cotton pad. Then with E.oils later on. Applying clove & lime to around the jaw.
    I was just thinking I've been into health, mobility, strength, speed, endurance of fitness. Always aiming for the 5 levels of fitness & good nutrition. Since my early 20s with knowledge prior to that without very much. I am probably not as active as I should be of late. My point being despite all my intentions & actions I still have problems. And I was just thinking. I sincerely hope you don't get to my age & find qll you did & all you know didn't stop you ending up with "age related" health problems etc. I wouldn't say it didn't do me any good who knows. I could have been worse sooner. It certainly didn't prevent things I'd hoped it all would. Like becoming obese having type 2 diabetes. Having joint problems. The effort I've put in seemed well spent & I enjoyed every minute. Plus I won't stop but. Crap still does happen. Hope you stay in great shape.
