@@ohtorikanae so you know he wasn’t the godfather’s biological son… and was raised in complete secret behind closed doors to the point where he basically only knew how to read and that idols = good. apparently he was taken in by the godfather only because he was pretty and stuff and it’s unknown who or where his real parents are and where and how the godfather got a hold of him and there is a chance that he was in fact trafficked and then taken in. idk if my explanation makes sense but yeah many things check out

Enstars plot really can get messed up and hypocritical too, the war caused people to take their own life by jumping off the school rooftop to the point people assume that anyone going to the rooftop is gonna jump off, but Tsumugi always talk about it like "Eichi took the path that required the least sacrifice" bro........... They all need therapy

@@Haru-rs2su there's an entry about the war in the enstars wiki that was really helpful for me! It's also shown in the anime.
I think that even if eichi didn't start the war, there would have been a lot of chaos and suicides. Entertainment companies stopped taking yumenosaki students (which is what prompted the war in the first place), so the students wouldn't have had a career opportunity after graduation. They would have seen their dreams dying before them, much like they did during the war. If the war didn't happen, it's likely that people would stop going to yumenosaki entirely and the school would close.
for those who are confused about how vague the himeru lore is, I've put an explanation below the cut. (spoilers for obbligato + some spoilers for ariadne below)
the "himeru" seen in the main story is impersonating his younger half-brother, who is in a coma as of the !! era. he is impersonating his brother to keep his place in the idol industry and stop himeru from fading into irrelevance. the "real" himeru (the one who is in a coma)'s real name is kaname tojo. the "fake" himeru's full name isn't known, but his last name is also tojo. in short, himeru is not a clone, and (probably) not forty years old.
in addition, kaname went to reimei with tatsumi kazehaya and they were, like, besties or something. eventually tatsumi led kaname into starting a revolution over the unfair hierarchical system in reimei which is what ultimately led to tatsumi's leg injuries which are discussed in the main story, as well as kaname going into a coma (the details of kaname's injuries aren't known). kaname looked up to tatsumi, but the current himeru resents tatsumi for letting kaname get hurt even though tatsumi's intentions weren't necessarily bad.

slight addition to the rei timeloop theory: it also came about in direct response to the ending of ensemble girls, which... *was* an actual timeloop. literally. the main character (anzu’s brother) had to choose a girl to be with at the end of the year to break the loop or something it was weird as hell
considering engirls took place a year after enstars! and now enstars!! is in the same year, then maybe they’re in the timeloop right now... 😳
I wish Engirls was more accessible I only got into a few weeks before they shut it down! But thank you for that insight I never put two and two together about the timing!

@@kminh8743 I recall The Godfather (the super idol who was the foundation of all idols now) secretly adopted Nagisa and kept him locked away from others as The Godfather didn’t want Nagisa to develop any “humanity” (Apparently The Godfather didn’t like humans???). It was only after his death everyone found out Nagisa’s existence and sent him to live with Tomoe Hiyori.
@@kminh8743 ^ yep what they said. and iirc when he first went to live w hiyori they had to teach him very basic things like how to speak & walk, and he was treated more like an object than an actual child when he was with the godfather. i might be reading too much into it but i just find the undertone and certain implications of his backstory very disturbing tbh

ive gotten used to playing games like bandori which has more "classic" ?? and cliché game themes, and getting into enstars was so different but in a good way, all the lore is so interesting and the way the game doesnt hesitate to bring up sensitive topics like self harm, s*icide and other things is pretty cool too. the enstars is a social expeirement part got me thinking, it probably isnt but it is true that the game is marketed quite differently compared to the actual content, which is something to wonder about but tysm for this video it was fun watching it and getting creeped out
Same I've played other games like Bandori and they're good but just not the same story wise. Character wise sure, but the story and lore do not comepare at all.. Enstars really does remind me of a gag story with creepy/serious elements commonly appearing.

I´m that person who only knows the characters names and half of the songs, basically the only knowledge i had was from watching the first 5-7 episodes of the anime and some info about Leo from the wiki because he rly owns me (and i believe he is Kamui from an idol au) and WTH i thought the baddest thing from enstars was that human bean called Eichi and you come with timeloops, murdering, clones, vampires, cults, cannibalism, pedophile and real life ppl with serious mental issues😭😭😭 it´s 3 am i was scared half of the video besides spanish is my native language so i had to go back in a lot of parts to understand anyways GREAT VIDEO

i'm sure that the Rei Timeloop theory could be an entire video on it's own since the website is really creepy and adds to the story. I also think that the theory does have multiple branches to expand on although it does get really dark at some points. Really good video by the way!

Shu is the best. I was an EnStars fan for a while... I played the original, and I played the music version, now I simply just stick to EnStars Music's global version but... _wow,_ I had no clue people disliked Shu back then, he's always been my favourite, and I remember the interactions with Mitsuru, and I never really saw it as anything _that_ extreme so, hearing that he was so disliked really caught me off guard.
@@MechanizedAngelz yes, when valkyrie was introduced, many people disliked them because of the story with nazuna, or the way shu treated mika. since then, there are a lot of haters that don't know how they improved, and it's pissing me off. there're also people who simply are homophobic and when they saw that mika and shu were really close, they couldn't take it... it's just stupidity that led them to being hated honestly -_-

Wait, it's just heavily hinted that Suzu & Mika are twins, never outright confirmed! IIRC the graduation epilogue of EnGirls mentioned that Suzu met up with a "older or younger sibling".
The Rei timeloop theory is fun & all, but ! isn't a timeloop. However, !! takes place during the same year as EnGirls. And EnGirls *is* a confirmed timeloop.
And what's more, Leo has met Ruri, aka the actual alien that's responsible for the whole timeloop mess in EnGirls. And he's referenced Ruri on multiple occasions.
So my theory is that if there *is* a timeloop, that Leo is the only one who's aware of it. Because even if he is, no one would believe him.

i’m an avid watcher of iceberg videos. i’ve never played enstars, and my only knowledge of it (being very limited) is via a small artist i follow on instagram who frequently draws and posts about enstars. i watched this video intending to have a deeper knowledge of this fandom by learning it through a medium (iceberg videos) that i am familiar with. however this video is completely unintelligible to me

For the most part it’s pretty implicitly canon. The Beasts Gacha story goes the most into it and shows the most canon evidence. Arashi really hasn’t got that much stories lately hasn’t she?

tbh it's pretty complicated i personally see arashi as a trans girl and refer to her with she/her pronouns. but from what i've seen most if not all the players from the non-english-speaking part of the fandom consider arashi a cis male with an "onee personality" which is a common trait found in a lottt of anime characters, so yea it's not canon.
In the first SS Izumi said Arashi didn't like being completely treated as a girl so it's not canon yet
I see her as a gender binary character, and use female pronouns, but it really depends since literature can be interpreted differently by different people.
Enstars lore is wild as fuck however you have to read the stories and I can't find anyone who explains them so I was thinking of creating a channel to explain each members lore

I used to be sooo into Enstars when I was a kid (like.... 7 years ago?) before it was THIS popular. It was just so frustrating how there was so few things that got subbed and then school hits me like a truck so I started to stray away from the lack of time. I remember singing cover songs, listening to the cd dramas, and reading whatever novels and stuff from Enstars that got translated at that time. Missed the good old days.
Tbh the lores were confusing as heck even back then, so catching up on it now 6 years later is a bit of an eh
