Enstars music is definitely an acquired taste. I’ve absolutely Stockholm Syndrome’d myself into liking songs I used to hate through sheer repetition so I was nodding a long with most of the video lmao. Thank you for undertaking this monstrous task (and for validating my opinion on Eden)

The song that got me into the game is Moonlight Disco… And then I learned that all the songs are LONGER than the game version… So when I heard all of Moonlight Disco I broke down into sobs.

You're so right about undead × akatsuki × valkyrie being the holy trinity of good enstars music.
Trickstar × fine × eden is like the anti trinity. Which makes it so much more annoying that they're all suposed to be the most popular groups in canon. (Although, eden is slightly better than the other two imo)
I really sympathize with Shu being mad that people dont appreciate art in his universe at least. 😅

This is the best enstars song ranking vid I've watched so far, it's not particularly bcs I agree with your picks(I'm someone who likes all the songs "XD) but the commentary and editing was just great. In general hearing about ppl's song opinions is fun even if it's not the same as mine :D

Great video! Had to laugh when you said USA reminded you of eurobeat; the original is actually a really old eurobeat song by joe yellow! (The version in enstars seems to be based off of a JP cover done by a group called Da Pump.)
Congrats on falling down the rabbit hole of Enstars ... It sure is a ride. Also the 'You ready' in forbidden Rain is 100% Kaoru so uhhh. In any case i think a lot of the songs are liked due to characters. So there's a more sentimental value to the songs. Like Trickstar? Their songs are perfect for me to sleep to and that may be because of the character arcs. But good luck on your break hope you do well!!
Oh and before I forget to mention, Article Faith has an acoustic cover that I prefer but it misses Ritsu's voice actor. It was done during one of the live concerts with the actual voice actors.
All things considered, Racing Into the Night’s subject matter isn’t really all that out of place for Enstars. the school has a freaking cenotaph.

I don't know why but the bass guitar they always incorporate in their songs is so good to me. Plus their lyrics tend to feel more meaningful in my opinion, they seem to always sing about powering through or desperation.
i put this on as something to listen to while drawing and sharing opinions, as a ValkP when you said valkyrie was one of the best units in the game i paused the video and started cheering, when i unpaused the clip of the crowd cheering came up and it was the funniest thing ever to me, that was infact my live reaction. 8:50

liking akatsuki is an acquired taste, while i was looking at the character profiles immediately fell in love w their leader (Keito) and listened to their discography n gave it a shot. IT'S that good. Even to their solos, ugh i love akatsuki
I can’t handle this yuukyou seishunka slander… it’s in my opinion the most well thought out cover song because of how they contrasted the Japanese and European units just like in code geass… and the music is bomb 😢

Lol welcome to hell. I generally disagreed with most of your takes, but I think that’s part of the reason why I love Enstars so much. It has so many different genres of music that there’s pretty much something for everyone to enjoy.

Left this comment before even finishing the video lol so me saying I disagree with most of it just isn’t true anymore my b. You’ve got some pretty good takes, the main ones being the shuffle units are fire and Trickstar and Fine are mid. Their songs really are all basically the same thing, and they really aren’t that good (despite how much Tempest Night changed my life)
ALSO BASED MOONLIGHT DISCO ENJOYER it’s my favorite song in the game! I love the instrumental and the melody with my entire soul, and I first listened to the song when I was pretty much fresh out of high school, and also graduating from a summer theatre program that basically saved my life, so the lyrics hit me like a brick. Probably also helps that my 2 favorite characters (Arashi and Hiyori) are in the unit so I was ECSTATIC.

Nousagi March is still one of my favourite Rab*its songs. It might just be because of the marching band feel the song has which I’m biased towards and I even have it as the BGM for my in game menu. I just wish more people appreciated it!
