    seriously, it finds half with already cut blocks it looks like a waist of money. Why bother with this jig. I recommend just buying a gauge that is accurate without added gauges. Far from a solution. Disappointment.

      For years I've made half-laps by "creeping up" on the joint by cutting short of the line, raising the blade a skosh, cutting, test-fitting, rinse and repeat. You get perfect laps, but it's tedious. This jig cuts down on the trial and error.

      @@bigredracingdog466 It is very fast. Also, with half laps, I tend to cut a whisker too deep on purpose for glue space. If your half lap is tight, you need to leave a bit of room for the glue.
