    Also wanted to share. You canuse the 'drive up' style of ramps. However would not recommend if you arenot stock height. I drove up the front on ramps, jack in the back to make it level height as possible. Can't remember the part number off the top of my head but always grab some of the additional inderbody pan clips as well on hand. The shop that changed didn't put them back on and I had 2 missing. It's better to do it then while youre inder there verusu having to go back out and purchase them later.
    If using a siphon style pump to put the fluid in, I highly recommend putting the atf bottle in a clean bowl. Knocked one over while I was filling and got ATF on me, the driveway, and lsot track of how much fluid. Ended up having to grab a extra bottle over this minor step.. $extra 10 later

    thanks for the video. I have a low profile long range floor jack as well as 4 - jack stand. How do I go about getting tge car on all 4 jack stand? The center jack point is deep in the car.

    • @stuartbrock7586
      @stuartbrock7586 Před 3 měsíci

      I start by driving the front two wheels of my car on to four 2X6s, two under each wheel, with the ends staggered so the car only has to go up on 2X6 at a time. This raises the car up enough to get my floor jack under the front. Then jack up the front and put your jack stands under at their lowest height. Then jack up the rear. The rear jack point is in the middle of the car right where a trailer hitch would be, if there was one. Jack up the car and put the rear jack stands at the height you want them. Then go back to the front and lift it up so the heights of the jack stands match all around. It's time consuming to lift the front twice, but your car will slide around on the jack stands and could slip off if the angles are too great. To remove the jack stands I follow the same steps in reverse. Always lowering the front in two stages. Don't forget to have your 2X6 ramps in place when lowering the car to the ground, so you can get the jack out :)

    Nice job 👏 that should help alot of people, in the.. fast paced quantity field where I've drained hundreds of 10 speeds.. and alot were done by mistake at 30k miles, I'm unsure of you're mileage but your fluid looked identical to 30k mile fluid that has been driven by Ms daisy. Also the amount of metal on the magnet is actually less than alot that I've seen. Is say slightly less than normal, maybe the mileage interval in which you are at would explain that. Also the fil/check method you used is correct, however we do it entirely different but we don't need to get into that 😆 4.4qts is correct fill after around 5mins of draining.. but depending on how long you let it drain.. it could take up to 5.3qts.. but that's abnormal and we don't need to get into that

    Very informative! So is the transmission flush a scam by dealerships? They wanted $250+ because they wanted to use 12 quarts of oil.
    They had a drain and fill for under 100, is that worth it?

      A transmission change is what you see in this video, a transmission flush is much more involved.

      Probably a wise decision! Hey, the 80 degree weather we've had this past week got me too excited - guess I won't be taking the Accord out in the snow today.

      No problem. I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum motor oil. I have found it to be a great choice based on independent testing results, and my own history of use and oil testing 👍
