Lovely
Brilliant
Rest in peace to the maestro himself Joe Burke. Loughrea is proud of him while all of Ireland acknowledge him as probably the greatest button accordion player of all time. We have tremendously talented box players throughout the island, too many to mention. Daithi Gormley is one I personally like to listen to and the late Joe Cooley, Paddy O'Brian etc. So many gifted younger generation players are coming to the fore as well, good Irish music is in safe hands.
This man is on automatic,he doesn’t have to think. Well done . So very enjoyable.
Absolutely amazing. A true master of his instrument. I hope that Joe Burke is still alive and playing music. God gave him such a talent Maith Thu fein🧤💚💚
He passed away in 2021. I think the video was posted in memory of him.
Best button accordion player ever. Maith thu Joe.
Legend
Incredible!,,,
He was unbelievably good.
Pure magic Awesome Thee master at work here
Great!!!
Sheer awesome Joe is a keen enthusiast of the great Sligo fiddler Michael Coleman who was legend
Yay Joe! God love him.
Peter Street is a bit of a handful -or mouthful on a flute ...the Donegal T is in A. Great upload .
. Peter Street. A great reel popular with box players in the 1950s. Not a easy tune to learn unless you have talent like Joe. The tune is usually played in Key A, and is known in Scotland and in O'Neill's Book as Timour the Tartar What a shame that talent like Joe's has to go to the grave. Thank God for recordings...RIP Joe
Try playing it on a flute!
@@tomgreene1843Of a fiddle! It really suits the box and not many other instruments.
@@tomgreene1843That sounds interesting🤣🤣🤣
If you play flute give it a go !@@anthonybrady-lb5ve

His introductory remarks remind me of 21 shows at the World's Fair in Vancouver, with no change-up, led by a glory hound and a bully with one of the world's finest fiddlers on piano. Instigated by a participant who could't read a clock! Understand what you're in for when depending on someone who was addicted to the race track and had Scarlet Fever as a child. There was definitely a pattern. Many times we had to race out of Ottawa to meet up with the bus to Montreal and he would board with two accordions in boxes and the shanty button slung over his shoulder. A phenomenal musician, composer, and person. He and Joe Burke never played together but I witnessed a phone call between them when working with the Irishman at BAM.
Nice to see George Lucas trying his hand
Very talented player but need to slow the tempo down...rather muddy performance.
Come on, it's the live setting and sound system that's 'too slow'
What you rather is irrelevent he's playing not you. The world doesn't revolve around what you want.
You haven't got a clue, you moran!!!
I agree..it's not his best ..rip joe.
