- The Jeff George train has started to derail a bit, as the Vikings have lost two close games in a row on the road. They return home for a key Monday night matchup with Favre and the Pack.

This was the first regular season game I ever went to. Dad made us go to the bathroom late in the first half to beat the halftime crowds and we missed the Moss TD. There’s part of me that’s never really forgiven him.
As a child all you want to see is a Moss td
I would forgive him. Nothing is worse than waiting 20 minutes to pee in a metal trough 😂
My first game in the Dome! What a memory!!!!!
Randy doing Moss things in this game!
I never realized how absolutely rough artificial turf was until I played on it, I can't believe the league played on it.
Touching it with your fingers felt like a metal bristle brush.
I'm a simple man. I see #84 i watch
9:11 Around ten years later, Favre would successfully throw a touchdown in this scenario, wearing a slightly different shade.

Had that same thought, it was almost the exact same spot on the field and game scenario too
I had completely forgotten about Moss punt return fumble.
Jeff George with the "keys to the Ferrari"...
Jeff George even though he was a knucklehead, he had a great arm
that o-line with jimmy k in goalline woooweeee
8:28 Randy Moss made a huge faux pas by going out of bounds before the two minute warning. If he stays in bounds, the final play doesn't happen. Vikings sit on it three times as I (believe) the Packers were out of timeouts.
I thought the same thing.
I was actually at this game
What a bullshit call on Dwayne Rudd.
I remember thinking the same thing at the time. Haven't seen that call before or since. But playing Favre all bets were off
That place (The Metrodome) was such a house of horrors for Favre. LOL.
Randy doing the leap into Syd's arms
That offensive line, though...man they're missed.
The players thought they were playing Rugby (balls freely flying around sop frequently!).
How many times did we hear, "Robert Smith is healthy again."?
Would love to see Vikings at Giants in 1999.
I think allowing opponents to hang around late in the game and giving up leads is in the Vikings' DNA. lol Thankfully they didn't allow a full comeback this game, but they let Favre march down the field and throw it into the end zone. The only thing better than a Vikings win is a Vikings win against the Packers.
Skol Vikings!!!!
Packers were definitely the luckiest team back then (still are). Every fumble bounces their way, along with at least 2 bullshit calls from the refs. Always said to beat them you had to overcome about 5 gut shot kill plays that automatically go to them.
If I remember right Moss hardly ever fumbled, but that kidney shot sure did the trick.
coach greens clock management strikes again
Robert Griffith was very overrated.
I've loved the vikes for 60 years. sorry, Denny green was one of the most overrated on-field coaches ever. terrible time and personnel management. this game was emblematic of that. great gm. head coach. very mediocre. he had so many pro bowlers there in his tenure. did nothing.
