He would have been one of the great directors like Rajamouli. Even i can say may be greater than Rajamouli. Man directed web series even before it existed in india. First director to shoot an underwater scene. I also heard in an interview that he was already thought about metro even before he passed away. He could have done many big budget films if he was alive. Kannada industry would be popular even before Bahubali came out. Even now whenever his films play on tv, i can't stop myself from watching. Miss you legend.

Well said. I am a Tamilian but have seen most Kannada Movies. Shankar Nag Sir's movies are unique one such movie is "Accident" "Geetha" "Ondu muttina kathe". His film language was completely different. But unfortunately, we lost him so early. No one can replace him.
Most of we Kannadigas are closely watching Rishab's journey over last 5-6 years. He had a slow and steady run and now all of a sudden he saw that very deserving success.
But this success has made him more grounded than ever ❤
His other movies are great also

i wish Hindi films would also have been producing content of local hindi region stories and absolutely reflect that region, but it is run by punjabi nepo people, and there is other region's cultural influence like punjabi marathi etc, so sad that hindi medium films are not majorly run by hindi region artists
When they do, you do not flock to theaters. Infact, since Tanu Weds Manu, the stories from Hindi heartland has become common. I don't know if you are living under the rock or what.

His sense of humour is just on another level. That's why most of his movies are ao fun to watch. Kirik party, kasaragodu, bell Bottom, kantara. All these movies have super humour elements. But they never feels overdosed or not funny enough. Whenever scenes of these movies play on tv, i just can't stop myself from watching.
