Dr. No (1962) is my sentimental favorite. My parents took me to see that film when I was six. My contemporaneous memories of the event includes Quarrel, Ursula Andress' conch shells, the 'dragon' and the bits involving rocketry 🚀 . I even remember where we went to dinner before the movie. My parents could have left me with a relative to look after me but with their decision to take me along the die was cast and I was a James Bond movie admirer for life.

I think the problem of playing Bond is balancing his suave, charming side to his dangerous side. So, then the Bond that is portayed is either a lady's man or a cold-blooded killer, one side overpowers the other too often than not, and the other is neglected. Connery probably did it best with James Bond, women were very drawn to him, but they also knew they were in trouble if they ever dared to go against him

Yes he did but ursula andres did not sing the song her self as she could not speak English at the time so they higher Diana Coupland to do the singing

@@seandempsey9396 she is swiss, not anglosaxon. I never would have assumed that. But with him, it is great we heard him singing personally. Bond even can sing.

I don't really have a favorite Bond actor. All of them were good. The best were Connery and Roger Moore. They played the character during a an era when the Cold War was on and I guess it made it the storyline more intriguing.
