Great video, Tish! Currently watching this in the hospital (again) and not to be cliché, but it did take my mind off what was happening for a bit. Not the biggest fan of the 500, but it just makes sense to be an EV.

So excited, I have just signed on the dotted line for this car today. I had it out for a 40 min test drive this morning and fell in love. Only downside is, I have to wait until January for it

Another great review Tish 👏, really useful information for people who are interested in purchasing one, I love the front end styling 👌. Not keen on the stitching of fiat in the seats though, for me its a bit too much. Is a mirror in the drivers sunvisor that important for a lady looking for a car?
As a female I find it bizarre that fiat 500s do not have a mirror on driver's visor. Strange but important no, not for this female.
I test drive one of these today, my 1st of a few test drives I'd lined up.....had to cancel all others, I loved this car so much.

Who would buy one with the small battery as a second city only car? Used Leafs and Zoes exist for under half the price
I like the new front badge, not sure on the rear one? Yer it's definitely something you would get if you loved FIATS and didn't need to go far!
comparing new and used car(or anything really..) will almost always favor the used ones, at any price range, so for me personally it's a bit unfair..

@@hellmekun For the same range and just commute abilities, why spend the extra money? Where is the extra tech compared to an old leaf on the 500. It doesn't move the game on

Honestly I always liked Fiat 500s. I’ll never buy one because I’m 6.4 but to anyone smaller it’s a great car

I had an original fiat 500, although I like the look of the electric vehicle, technology scares me a bit, I would buy one just because it's so compact and it has a decent range, I don't think of it as a girlie car, well I drive a Smart diesel 😁
The tech can be a bit bossy sometimes when you're driving.... It's always bleeping for something or another!

I can't wait for an Abarth 500e, but I'm worried how expensive it might be. if it's £40K + then it will be a hard sell.

i own a fiat 500e and no way can you get 199 miles, i drive 23 miles to work but use around double that in range loss
The normal Fiat 500 is seriously uncool, but the 500e is better.
Plus, they used to sell a previous 500 electric in North America.

Imagine dropping £30k on one of the convertible ones. At that point a Tesla is only 10k more.
Very good point. Although, as it is under 35K you do get the £2,500 government grant as well
at that point you don't have a convertible. If you are looking for a convertible, the Model 3 is not for you.

Looking for an EV to replace my current Fiat 500 and what do you know, Fiat 500e is the only good looking option ^^ Although, it is a shame that it costs double the price of the ICE models. I am sure that the build quality is nowhere near the 30k price tag. And the government grand at this point feels more like a reason to keep the prices high (since all the marketing materials tell you the price with the grand included). Hopefully, it will be possible to find a used one for 15-20k in a couple of years. Please do not support this 30k+ EV madness, affordable EVs is what we need to save the planet.
I could not agree more. I think brands like Dacia will start building affordable EV's and that will bring the prices done. fingers crossed. The entry level 500e doesn't even have a radio..... that is madness!
Just £21,000... Just?! Why is it two times the price of the nearly identical petrol version?! I'm out until they become much cheaper.

It is La Prima (pronounce preema) and not Le Primma. Also the t is silent in Renault. Apart from that - nice review.

Let's be honest, for 33000 pounds it's too little a car you are getting. Looks alone can't replace practicality and economy. If you are paying such a heavy bag of cash and don't get the range, space, and other basics, then I think it's exploitation in the name of "E CARS". Actually, almost all the car makers are doing that these days. How do you save, when you are paying huge cash upfront and lose the peace of mind that you get with ICEs? Good city cars in my opinion were Nissan Micra and Suzuki Alto in the late 90s and 2000s.
