  • GTO and GTO Poker is one of the hottest topics in poker in the last 5 years! EVERYONE wants to talk about it, try to play it, use software for it, and more! Today, 1 of the very top coaches in the world for players looking to crush small stakes tournaments and cash games, Matt Affleck, joins us again to teach you how to approach GTO Poker & solvers, and how to avoid HUGE MISTAKES!
You can study poker strategy, and use poker solvers as much as you'd like... but if your approach to solvers and GTO is off, it could be making you worse!
Today, we're going to talk about GTO Strategy Adjustments, where you can use a solver to exploit your opponents. Matt will also talk about the Pros and Cons of GTO:
    Pros of playing GTO:
    - GTO works well against all types of players
    - GTO is excellent when you have no reads
    - GTO is excellent against strong players
    Cons of playing GTO:
    - GTO is incredibly complex and difficult to implement
    - GTO does not maximally exploit mistakes
GTO Poker uses mixed strategies. This means that sometimes it will take one option, like call, and sometimes it will take another option, like fold! When strategies are mixed, this is a great spot to lean into our exploits and make the best decision in game!
If you're playing $1/$2 and $2/$5 cash games, this video will help you get an edge in your games.

Do you use GTO Poker in your games, or do you go for more exploits?

Matt is the best coach on this! People play way too many strategies that they think are GTO, but they're just terrible outputs!! Best of luck in your games this weekend :)

I think the solver knows who raised preflop because it is reflected in the ranges and therefore it doesn't matter/change the outcome. And yes, I am a smartass.

@@relaxationmeditationsleep2934 you can chose to open fold AA and only raise 98s. How would solver know we raise pre? And the other guy flattint AA-QQ. You dont know what you talking about. Ive been poker pro 2004-2023

@@kezman82a There's still a huge difference between a calling and a raising range. Even with the caller flattening his QQ, KK, AA, ..., you can still identify the raiser because of his range (as a professional poker player or a solver). ;)
