This is pretty much my ideal modern Audi setup.
The fact that it was a empty shell a month ago is astonishing… this build is so F’n good it’s insane 😮💨👌🏼 ( dsg or zf for sure , if it’s to go fast or as a daily.. weekend cruiser then manual ) damn that thing is awesome 🤘🏼🤘🏼

I absolutely love this idea! My father had a white allroad, with white fenders - it was beautiful and it really started my love for these cars. I ended up buying a white B8.5 S4 because I wanted the sound and power, but wanted the looks and whatnot of the allroad minus the wagon.
The ultimate would be to combine the two! I think you should do this but do it with an allroad instead, the facelift looks a lot better and I reckon there’s more of a desirable aspect to it if you do decide to sell it (to me one day haha)

Do u miss the 3.0 Supercharged platform? I certainly do, unfortunately its hard to get one with low mileage and the right trim with sport diff, adaptive dampers, dynamic steering, adaptive cruise control etc.
Even tho i prefer the S5 sportback, mainly due to the wider body but i gotta admit, the A4/S4 avant looks alot better on video than on pictures!
That thing is a beauty. I got recommended your videos because I just had my b8.5 S4 totaled and got an SQ5 and was watching all kinds of CZcams videos about them and saw the same thing happened to you! I could not find a suitable S4 within 100 miles and the SQ5 popped up and I jumped on it

Since we never got those in the US, I had to build my own stage 2 B9 Allroad. I love it, but gosh I lust after a manual transmission and that supercharged 6!
Still a huge s4 scene out there. I think pulling a s4 avant into a 10 second car would gain alot of love and attraction to the page. just imo
Matt's the only guy I know that had a cooled/heated glove box on the black swapped avant. Oem +++

for some Reason I like the b8 preface-lift looks better than the b8.5, people might disagree but that it my opinion. Amazing build!

I own a b8 Avant Prestige and I agree with this statement totally. Looks sleeker and the edges are smoother on the front end. Not gonna lie though. B8.5 taillights look better though. I actually want to do this very S4 manual swap with a ported blower,dual pulley on water/meth

I recently got a 2013 white Allroad. I would love to drop a 3.0t engine in it. Can you put an estimate on what an engine swap would run with labor? Would love for you to do one as well!!!

The engine in my B8.5 A4 blew up not long ago, damn 2.0T’s from hell 😵💫, I’m thinking of doing the 3.0T swap but I wanna keep my ZF8, I wonder if it’s possible 😅
Definitely possible, according to Matt you’d want the 3.0T drivetrain and modules from a Q5 or SQ5

Can’t you swap parts with some of the S4 engines and some of the SUV engines to get a power boost? It’s been years but a co worker had a sedan that had a bunch of the suv parts bolted on and it would do 4 wheel burnouts at 70 mph. Would that be a good place to look for performance upgrades?
What about a facelift allroad? could probably use the ZF8 from there too

Gentlemen. I have a question. Can you do this swap with a B8 avant and the V8 from a B8 RS5?
How much does it cost to do this? My Avant has undiagnosed engine problems and I may want to swap it to get rid of the problem.

Hear me out, get an allroad and do the swap and then you can have your S4 nostalgia and noise with the overland ability.

He actually said 4 hrs, 2:15, but you definitely can in 3. I’m close, but northwest of his area. I can make it to family in western NJ near PA in less than 3 1/2 hrs. To northeast NJ would be no problem. I can make it to the Tappan Zee in 2 1/2 hrs.
Where in CT are you that you can’t make it in 3 hours?
