Thank you, very informative.. I hope that I’m able to fix my horn in my truck. I think now that you showed me how to fix it I’m confident I can figure out the problem
UpDate: Mine started sticking again. But you have shown me the culprit... I had to disengage the horns. I still do not have a horn, You would think Ford knows about this. Any ways back to the drawing board.
Thanks pal. I have 2014 Ford Fusion Se. Had a recall for the horn and ever since then my horn goes off when turning slow. Had 2 clock springs replaced and it went of this morning. Has less the 85k on it. Mite play the The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act.
Had a 2005 F-150 in my bay today with the horn that would randomly honk. This one had some black residue on one of the lower contact sets, the stuff would bridge the contacts and make it honk. When it started honking this horn would shut off for a couple minutes if I honked it but then would come back on randomly. Pushing lightly on the horn like in the video did nothing for this one. I soaked a rag with alcohol, wrapped it on a small screwdriver and worked it around the contacts to clean the residue away to fix this one. I would recommend others to inspect the contacts. Thanks for the video.
FYI.. for me, I had the panel and cover for fuse box removed (working on fixing my broken radio), and when the cover was off, it would randomly hong on it's own or if I closed the door or the hood. I put the fuse cover back on and the kick cover on the passenger side, and the random honking went away.
This happened to me in my 2004 Ford Explorer when I stopped behind a vehicle at a traffic light. It was embarrassing because the car in front of me thought that I was blowing my horn at him... he pulled over and I motioned to show him that the horn was stuck...
Sriker1211, after your troubleshooting of what appears to be the problem, did it stop blowing on its own? Spraying of the silicone on the press springs?
Make sense. Have the same horn stuck problem. I just dropped it off and now see this vid. 🤫 so i say to myself wtf. Well let see what they come up with. I might have to send this vid to them..
Plot twist: When he said when you are sleeping, and you hear a long honk, he was actually sleeping in the middle of the highway.

What year is yours?
my 2014 f150 doesnt work at all. the horns work on panic with alarm. just pressing it doesnt work.

Hey,did this fix your PROBLEM??????????????????HELLO,,,,,,,,
if my horn is jammed and i remove the fuse will it still drain my battery
Doesn't seem likely.
That’s not what’s happening to mine. Mine is honking 3 times. One pause two three. It’s happening every 5 minutes.
I have a 2009 doing the same thing, is the 09 horn setup different than the 08?
I Think So
Did this fix the problem
Sorry for the late reply, the fix solved the issue for me permanently.
