- Tread Performance Coach @fischerofathletes impressed everyone with Day 3’s best-graded fastball.🤯
Mark’s sinker hugs the zero line at low 90s velo from a sub 3 foot release height. For the data nerds out there, he can generate insane angles at the top of the zone.
Average Metrics: 90.3 MPH -2.1” IVB 17.1” HB from a 2’7” Release Height 👀

"Effectively wild" 😂
Throwing it 3 feet off the plate ain't effective.
@sinatra222 I don't know, I'd be awfully scared of this guy in there, especially as a righty.
@@patrickmcgraw4646 that's because you suck at baseball.
Wild Thing ‼️
@@patrickmcgraw4646 I would be trembling at da knees 😭👌🏽
Ball, ball, ball, batter’s dead, ball, ball, ball, ball, mound charged
😂😂😂😂 I laughed wayyyyy too hard at this. Thank you
💀🤣
Haha Fr this shit is funny
😂😂😂
Ok, I sprayed my cell phone display. Thank you for your service. 🤣🤣🤣
Not bad. 12 pitches, 3 of em for strikes.
Well he is doing one of the hardest pitches in the game
He still has better command of the strike zone then I do lol
lol in todays MLB ump is calling 10 of those strikes. Maybe 11
Late but also it has great movement which can get the batter out and swinging more
I only counted 1 strike
no strike zones were harmed during the filming of this event
Lol
🤣🤣
Hahahahaha
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
"And Vaughn has walked the bases loaded on 12 straight pitches."
“Idk how these hitters are laying off pitches this close!”
Now I have to watch Major League again😂
Scout: “This guy is all over the place and will tire out in one inning”
Scout: Call the front office. Tell them I have a submarine pitcher here that we need to sign. He's wild right now but he's low 90's with that arm angle and a nasty sweeper. A year or two with our coaches and he might get a call up. Send the contract...
@@whywelovefilm7079his “low 90s” are 2 feet behind the batter
“Take your base…” x 3
Javier Baez swinging at all 12
Proceeds to demonstrate the inability to throw a strike 😂
Hahaha, that's what I was going to say. Dude's cheese is wild as sh!t! I counted 6 HBP.
Tell me you don't know about baseball without saying so...hahahaha ... They can teach you to work on your mechanics and throw strikes
@@SonoftheAmericanRevolution still would get scouts flocking to any of his bullpens with that velocity coming from that angle. Especially with that nasty sweeper...
@@whywelovefilm7079 sure they can but throwing 90+ % balls is not a good start. Looks like hes a tad old to be trying to adjust mechanics just to be able to throw strikes. Of course they teach you to throw balls that look like strikes.... his issue is that they never look like strikes.
"Why does my shoulder hurt so bad"
91 from submarine is wild and so are his pitches
Don’t matter if you got a cannon if it shoots freaking sideways
“And that’ll be ball 4 as he walks in yet another run, now trailing 108-5”
"Just a bit outside." 😂
He tried the corner, and missed.
100 pitches 1 strike 😂
I’ll be at the home plate calmly waiting for my BB

No. You would be swing bc you think they may in the zone..
You'd strike out swinging 3 times over
@@vaughnjafter watching him bullpen, there isn’t a man, or woman, on earth that would swing at anything that guy threw
Scouts to the GM: "Now don't focus on where the ball goes, focus on him hitting 90. Thats what we need" lol
They can teach you to work on your mechanics and throw strikes. But there's like 2 pitchers in baseball who throw that hard from that angle. They ont hve that nasty sweeper either...
Ngl, I’d be scared af to bat against him after seeing that 😂
I played D1... These were the hardest guys to hit 😂😮.. broke a lot of bats in summer league too!!
No joke. One of these guys at 82 felt like 95 and it was so easy to open up on their slide piece because you are trying to keep the ball off your hands. I got hat tricked by one in juco.
You mean the guys who are more likely to hit you than the strike zone?
Broke a lot of bones as well
I caught these mofos!!!
You are spittin facts there.
Side arm bringing heat with the fastball, that slider is tight
I threw 2/3 as a pitcher in my teens. My coach (who didn't know anything about baseball) would tell me to throw directly "over the top" because thats what he learned somewhere. I was convinced that throwing any other way was bad. Nowadays, I wish I would have tried throwing sub/side because thats naturally where I loved to throw from.
Dudes got about 3-4 years of throwing like that before he grenades his elbow
Bro is wild. Definitely one of those guys you don’t particularly wanna bat against.
Arm will blow up sooner rather than later. Kinda wild too. Powerful liability.
3 Strikes out of 14 Pitches and the majority were wild. Great Job and keep it up.
No batter though. Batter could have swung at 3-4 of em. Good pitchers don’t throw the ball in the zone every time. Depends on what they were asking of him during this
@@marcuswilliams5255 I simply commented on what is and not what could be. Sure a batter might have swung at a ball outside. He also might’ve not. This imaginary hitter might have even hit a grand slam. I also never said good pitchers only throw strikes. Lastly it depending on what they were asking of him is irrelevant sense we don’t know and like your first statement it is pointless to play the what if game. But it is safe to say that they most likely weren’t asking for a majority of wild pitches.
@@user-cv8uw7ph9w hes got stuff and most of the time i dont see strikes in bullpens like thewse
Tell me you don't know about baseball without saying so...hahahaha ... They can teach you to work on your mechanics and throw strikes

Just hearing the ball sling off his fingers *chefs kiss*
sounds like sticky stuff to me
Skipping rocks out here 🔥
After watching this i would like to give randy Johnson his flowers what a beast
Submarine pitchers can be primarily used as a closer, keeping the opposite roster guessing through a limited amount of at bats by the whole lineup.
Yeah true the majority of them are relief pitchers
He's all over the place lol
Have mercy on those left handed hitters my goodness
The strike zone was not harmed during the making of this video.
To all comments criticizing, try hitting against a 90mph fastball with movement. Let us know how y’all did
How can I hit it when it hits me first lmao😂
@@hyperdrive6325 i think you’d be more likely to hit it than to actively stand in the way of a 90mph fastball😅
@@masonbryant5165 judging by how wild he is I think I’m still more likely to get walked😂
@@hyperdrive6325bad mentality. Only thing you can control is yourself. You’re shitting bricks when it’s a 2-1 count and he throws a heater that you’re centuries late on

@@shallnotbeinfringedfoff Thank you gun guy, maybe ditch the m44 and buy a real rifle with a mauser action
This pitcher had a 99 ERA in 3 community college appearances in 2022. He can’t even throw a strike in a bullpen. Why are you on your knees for fam be real??
I wouldn’t step at the plate if he was pitching. I’m scared just watching this video, this guy has no control of his pitches
Me being a lefty I wouldn't have to bc 3/4 would be hitting me. But that 1/4 good pitch would have me looking goofy af trying to get the tim like!! 🤪⚾
I had to throw similar to this for 2 years as a catcher due to a torn labrum that was misdiagnosed in high school. Before i had to throw sidearm i could also pitch with a fastball in the mid to upper 80s and was working on a 12-6 curve, had a decent sinker and a chamge up that was awful but i could usually get a guy to chase it if i was up 3-0 or 3-1. Yes i was trying to be like my favorite pitcher. Nolan Ryan.
You can hear the whip as the ball leaves. Those were the days.
Yeah he's close to messing up his arm for years with aches ..
Bro 91 submarine…. That’s harder than the fastest MLB submariner easily. This is amazing
It's not submarine it's sidearm. Many people mix up what is sidearm and what is submarine. A true submariner releases the ball below their lead leg knee
@@shamusgallo3937 it’s submarine kid
@@shamusgallo3937 not true at all bro your ignorant. Sidearm straight to the side submarine is below sidearm. Your speaking of a low submarine slot
@FishJunkiez nah bro I don't think you understand the concept of a "true" submarine pitcher. I hate that people create misconceptions of what a submariner is. Just because he throws below the side does not mean he is submarine. Simply he is a low slot sidearmer not a submariner. I know ALOT of guys who throw like him and consider themselves to be a sidearmer. The fact that u say that I am ignorant is completely false. Go stick to fishing
@@shamusgallo3937and that is submarine lol then there’s a lower slot submarine. Stick to COD in the dorm room bro keep throwing meat balls 😂😮
Bro puts so much effort into 80mph
People need to remember being a pitcher isn’t always about throwing strikes 😂
14 pitches, 2 strikes...
But he’s throwing 90, you can teach accuracy but you can’t teach velo
@@coachphat574 not entirely true but not entirely false. Everyone can gain velocity but it can be much easier for some people
@@nathanielmargulies2227 exactly you gain velo by working on it, I can name thousands of drills to teach location
@@coachphat574not without sacrificing some speed. With sidearm (and submarines) your arm angle forces that control to be a lot better or you’re gonna be throwing yourself out of a spot in the rotation.
Ex. This video, he couldn’t total 3 strikes in 14 pitches with a couple HBPs.
@@coachphat574if you think you can’t teach velocity then you shouldn’t be a coach
I wonder if the other commenters don’t know ball, or just don’t appreciate it fully.
A few of those pitches are called strikes and a few others out of the zone would definitely get most batters chasing
I wonder if you don’t know ball, because this pitcher had a 99 ERA in 3 appearances in community college league in 2022. He’s garbage. But keep sucking that cock lmfao
He said fck accuracy, I’m going for speed
I counting 3 in the strike zone maybe it was 2 - he is throwing some heat for sure.
Some of the comments are dumb asf first of all there are pitches that go out of the zone second of all he may throw 81 but still his side arm slider is nasty
His fastball is upper 80s/low 90s from down there
@@treadathletics I was near to right still throws absolute gas for a side arm
I threw overhand as a kid, and there was this other kid who pitched submarine style. So one game, I decided to throw a slider submarine style. Coming off my hand, the fk'g ball rose then broke slightly right before breaking back to the left then and slide downward. Today, I call it the magic bullet pitch but back then I was stunned. Seriously thought about changing to submarine style but decided against it because it was a tell, there's only so much you can do pitching that way. I kept pitching overhand with a standard repertoire - fastball, slider, curve, & changeup. Pitching overhand allowed me the deception where the batter never knew what pitch was coming. But that submarine movement was something I could never duplicate throwing overhand.
Mama always said, side arm pitchers is--As side arm pitching does!! That is never strike out a batter, even an imaginary one!!!!😂
The mid 90s called and said better luck next time. But the 70s also called and said they want nothing to do with this video.
2 out of 10 strikes. Looks like it hurts
They left
Congratulations you hit the zone twice
Remarkable technique!
Ball 4. Ball 8. And Vaughn has walked the based loaded on 12 pitches.
98% of people in the comments would strike out with the same exact pitches he threw in this video
Not if you just took all 4 pitches
Nah, all HBP, and carted off to ambulance while pinch runner comes in.
Nah.... don't think so lmfao.
Dude with the camera behind the catcher has a lot of faith in that netting
Scouts left faster than his fastball he couldnt throw in the zone.
That slider at the :10 mark was ssshhhhaarrrp. Nasty, late break. Like it. Just more strikes.
wtf is this
Center fielder out there pulling dandelions out of the grass
Even in the zone these type of pitchers are tough to hit well. You'll get one every now and then but the ball is tough to pick up from the pitchers release .
Lots of balls...if he could get that under control hed be hard to hit
my elbow hurts watching 👀
My rotator cup is gone because of this pitching style
🥤?
Hear me out, they might just know what they are doing
Whatever works!
In a true submarine fashion, it may be less stressful than overhand. I could do that back in the day and it felt much easier on the shoulder then a normal delivery.
Mate threw 1.5 strikes lmaoo
This is why he's a coach, rather than a pitcher.
I pitched like this in college last year, shit was so hard to control but when it was in the zone not many people hit it
1) It’s sidearm, not submarine
2) Like 1 strike was thrown
3) Worst mechanics ever..no idea where anything is going.
🤦♂️
You have no idea what you’re talking about
Hard to dig in against.
Two strikes and walks the bases loaded in that sequence
A consistent sidearm is very rare
Side arm pitchers are like ppl who pour milk before cereal IMO
As a pitcher in my youth, you want to have the batter thinking about moving away from the pitch more than concentrating on hitting the ball! This guy has that skill down pat
If I was the scouts I’d be looking at the catcher. He is catching all those wild pitches
As a lefty, I don’t want to face him, not because of the pitching form being hard to hit, but because he’d hit me on 50% of his pitches!

The catcher is the real winner here.

Usually love the content but this is one where I’m actually like, what???
Just showcasing one of our guys who's throwing for MLB orgs.
Looks like he is exerting so much damn energy on every throw. Must be a one inning, 20 pitch reliever throwing like that
These are some of the most loudest balls I've ever heard. "Hi-ya!"
It's inside, so the sound reverberates off the walls instead of being dissipated by the open space outside. That's why it's louder.
I meant "loud" from his grunts, and "balls" like opposite of strikes.
I love everyone here in the comments talking like they are Greg Maddux lol
Omg I just commented this in another video. The other pitcher was throwing 89 on gun out of hand radar gun. And throwing a circle change. The instructor changed his grip on change and the change up was better . My comment was pitcher in hs should be throwing 3 pitches. Two seamer, a four seamer , and change up. Nothing else. Your arm tendons and muscles don’t fully developed until age 26. I then said if you want to be really effective drop sidearm. Less strain on your arm, and batter especially righty batters will have a hard time picking up the ball . Good job teaching this
Last one for sure destroyed dudes shin 😭😭
Me and the boys walking for 27 runs
As someone who just got surgery from throwing like this, this looks extremely painful
It's actually no more susceptible to injury than other slots. Feel free to watch this video to learn about why that is!

I was a .380 hitter in highschool for a very small school and low division. I faced a submariner at one school 7-8 times (about 20 abs total) and struck out 16 of those times. Walked 2x and didn’t have a single hit. Woulda had a .400 average if not for that guy
