Ebay gimbals are nothing at the side of these. Yours are aesthetically way superior. Just snapped gimbal on a pair of one day old 325e's and desperate for the gimbals here. Please, please could you tell me if they're available....
The Gimbals and Rod Blocks are made by Rholupat. You can buy them off their website and ebay. The Rod Blocks are currently sold out.

This post is the only one I seen so far about the rods.
Now if any Grado owners wonder how to keep the rods in place.
Tip use small O - rings to stop the rod from moving less adjustment when listening. Plus stop the rod from completely sliding out of the gimbal

I found gimbals plus headband & rod blocks on ebay, and there is a guy on etsy.com who sells beautiful wooden cups and another person who sells very nice leather headbands.
Great video but you could choose differen, softer music. This just irritates me. I guess I grew old finally. Again - great video! Cheers

Yes you can use lighter for all grado variance
Many prefer a hot air gun or hairdryer but a lighter works if you're careful.
it seems very risky the gun hot air, the thin plastic driver can be damaged, however with lighter the heat it focuses on only side
Just use a hairdryer
Some use a pie plate with enough hot water not to damage the driver( you have to plan out what your doing first - like diving off a bridge swim in the landing spot see any danger ) to soften up the glue and then with a spoon or fork handle that is tapper slowly going around the cup a few times.

I'm thinking of upgrading my 125i headphones to wooden cups. Will it greatly improve the sound quality? Or I'm better off getting the reference or statement series from Grado?
When I was ready to go buy after saving up a grand.( The kid had the 60 I had the 80.)
I listen a lot I found to my liking only the 225 was the one where a big jump in sound improvement happened. 325 to hot. Tried the R1 oh wow the bloom fantastic love it. Store had a demo PS500 now that's sound I can listen to all day, sorry R1.
Could of got PS500i or ie. Lot of reviewers didn't lime them as much as the older model plain 500.
Your the one that you must please review is only a guild. Find your sound.
Ps Grado they claim a tube amp to get that extra cake and eat it on your birthday.

Anyone other way to remove the driver from the driver case/ring? I've been trying the way he show it, but it won't came off.

Spoon or fork handle that is tapper. Place between the two cups lips. Now slowly go around all the way around a few times. Working them apart.
@@BootJamesOut I've tried this method. But it just won't came off. So, I end up custom made my own driver sleeves.
Beware that ear cushions are studied for a given headphone, and change the acoustics. The flat replacement may alter the sound to the extent of losing loads of bass...

We all don't think and act the same.
So I'll think on my own, as I look for the good. 1) There removable easily to swap or do a wire mod. It's all about play.
2) threaded on to stay in place. Comes in handy if your doing active in depended sports not team. Or roll or turn in bed dam wire pop out.

yeah, this is great... but, why even buy grados at all? I mean, you can just buy all the parts and build your own completely from parts... instead of buying a full set of poorly made, pretentious, shitcans from a company that does not listen to feedback and doesn't make upgrades to their product because EGO and then spending twice as much money and time taking them apart and fixing them.
