Sherry... sorry. I know. But her drag character is so talented. I'm willing to have the discussion and have someone challenge my thoughts on this, maturely, or agree. If she's apologized for tricking the men into making videos for her, and sought and gotten help for the behavior, then I don't see why he shouldn't be brought back. I know what Joey did was wrong, and fully agree with making him be kicked off the show, and I'd be ticked if someone tricked me into making a video for a fake role, but I read one of the guys kept making sexual videos over and over and over and over for Joey... Why would someone make repeated sex videos like that? If Joey had committed rape or something along those lines, like a felony, then I wouldn't at all want him on the show, I should also state.

The irony in this, if you have seen the season and know the background. Courtney was edited by Rupaul to be the villain even though she's a good person, So by Rupaul pointing out Courtney's failings in morality, Rupaul was actually exposing her own inhumanity. @@markhousel7936

Courtney Act not being invited back was the only one of surprise to me. she did so well in her season that I assumed she would be back but I also agree that they did her dirty in S6 with doing a tie between Adore and Bianca but not her with either of them.
Courtney certainly doesn't need DR. She has a flourishing career without it. There is no doubt she was given the 'villain' edit in S6.

It's constantly amazing and bizarre to me how fragile Ru's ego is. She pretends to be so full of love and warmth but then all the stories you hear about are her being tyrannical and selfish and being vindictive towards anyone who doesn't worship her.
And Carmen is 100% right. Rupaul's a predatory businessman only interested in making money off of an industry he thinks belongs to him. So many people in the LGBTQ community look up to him because we want him to have wisdom as a known queen from the 80's, but he doesn't. He's found success by selling himself to straight people and enforcing himself as a gay icon in THEIR eyes because there's simply a wider audience. What's more disturbing is how Ru manages to be one of the first names a rookie queen will know of emulate that behavior of "the all mighty dollar"
there was a rumor that if Sherry Pie had not been caught and edited out of the show... Sherry Pie would have won that Season. It was shocking.
Yeah it was pretty clear she made it at least to the top four because of the message that she wouldn't be in the finale.
Oh for sure she had the best record and she was going to be the first "plus sized winner" which is something the fans have been asking for
I just recently watched that season for the first time and the way everything went down, I for sure thought she would be the one to win. She’s a terrible person but fuck her drag was kinda good.
There was also a rumour that the original edit was going to make Gigi the villain with a Gigi vs Sherry storyline

It seems like whenever someone calls RuPaul out instead of addressing the issue head on, he simply blocks them. I've never quite got over RuPaul's reaction when Willam told him he needed to take time to visit a mutual friend who was extremely ill. Instead of just saying, "Thank you or I will" he screams, "How dare you....!" I believe there was also a FU involved. Yes, I know Willam can be abrasive
Why would you react like that? My take, because you feel guilty, exposed and don't believe you need to explain yourself to anyone, including the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as those who advocate, support and help the LGBTQIA+ community.

@@ShellyGraham Mathu Anderson, who was Ru's makeup artist and close friend for years, was dealing with a serious life-threatening illness, and was in the hospital at the time. Willam encountered Ru on the street, and asked him why he hadn't visited Mathu yet, and it devolved into shouting and Ru saying "fuck you". I don't know what all was said, but that's the gist of it.
Just like how he admitted to wanting to hurt Pearl when she was being sassy in season 7 his ego must be massive. I respect Ru Paul’s professional success he achieved so much despite crazy odds against him. But he also seems like a bit of a prick.

Ru needs to be careful “down here” … Courtney Act is almost a national icon here, we love her and we protect our own. I cannot believe how Ru can say Courtney lacks compassion, she’s completely the opposite - Ru needs to have a look at Courtney’s TV show where she speaks with children who are interviewing her. She was also runner-up to Samuel Johnson (another incredible person) on our Dancing With the Stars. Courtney was famous and well-loved before Drag Race and Australia continues to love her. Careful Ru, we love you, but we love Courtney more.
It's pretty clear Ru was just annoyed that Courtney was calm and confident the whole time since she knew what she was doing. There was nothing for the show to exploit, no drama between her and the other queens and no 'breakthrough' for him to guide her towards. Courtney didn't need Ru or his narrative and he doesn't like that in the contestants.

She was grey rocking Ru (a technique how to deal with narcissists, in which you just respond rather flatly and don't give them anything they could turn on you) and it triggered her immensely.

@@timemonkey I’m just watching her season and to be fair, I think Ru had a point. She does comes off as cold and sometimes even mean or uncaring. While I think she’s very talented, it’s hard to find her relatable or endearing, because she shows no vulnerability. Part of the fun of this competition is seeing people overcome things and rooting for them. That makes for good TV. If someone comes on the show fully realized, then where’s the storyline?

Courtney and Carmen would not have gone back anyways. They were always headed to be more mainstream, their beauty is just exceptional, in and out of drag.
Courtney has also just finished her second stint at anchoring the respected interview show One Plus One on the ABC. She also received an AACTA award for presenting the Mardi Gras live broadcast. She's so past needing DR.
Ideally she should be on DragRAce downunder but i remember when she said something to RuPaul about being the RuPaul of Australia and RuPaul's lips curled up like he was going to strangle Courtney

I feel Ru Pauls' intentions in the beginning where honorable. It was obvious as time went on it was all about self-promotion and filling a larger-than-life Persona and ego. I also feel he was intimidated by Queens who are more talented. I feel he went for what he felt was politically correct in his eyes of what drag should be. I also felt like he had his favorites. There are many times when contestants had to lip sync and I couldn't figure out what the person who one was being judged on I'm clearly the other Queen outdance the winner. Overall I feel what started out to be representation of a good cause turned out to be exploitation. He can't talk about spreading love and then isolate people who don't agree with your opinion or can't sit down and have that compassionate conversation that we see on camera most times.
I agree ru Paul can't perform like the other drags can i saw her perform years ago before she was a big star at a bar in Myrtle Beach she doesn't dance or do any type of splits, bk flips etc she does just like you see her on her show every now n then when she " performs" very little...js I luv her but it is what it is...

Well actually if the producers and Ru Paul had judged fairly in the season 10 semi final lipsync between Aquaria and Eureka. (AKA Aquaria had screwed up the lipsync badly by falling over numerous times but they edited it to make it look like she did well) We would have had a plus size winner then.

All Stars Banned/Disqualified Queens “Bad Girls” themed season!
King Tyra, Phi Phi, Vixen, Sharron Needles, Willam, Sherry Pie, Pearl, Max, Delta Work…
I always thought that Courtney was earmarked for DRDU like Brooke Lynn Heights for DRC. But she wasn’t playing whatever game they wanted so they gave her a bad edit and trashed her. It’s such a shame too because DRDU would be miles better with Courtney hosting (and if they weren’t paying Ru and Michelle, they might be able to put some more money into the actual show!)

The good, the bad, and the ugly reason. As a mom of a trans adult child, I stopped watching DR as soon as my kid told me about the transphobic comments Ru made. He could be an amazing ally and use his platform for good, for everyone in the community. It’s such a shame he turned into such a stuck-up dictator who can’t take any criticism and demands full allegations to his brand. Money and fame will do that tragically. Guess he forgot he came from being a NY club kid, but the internet remembers.
The Queens I would love to see don't need Drag Race anymore because they are having great careers now. Bianca , Jinkx, Trixie , Katya and Willam for example.
The "Female or S*emale" was problematic but it was actually a very big trend online at the time. There were loads of websites that had a similar 'can you guess?' theme and, unfortunately, a lot of them had themes like 'tr*nny or granny'. There was a lot of adult content too like 'tunnel or funnel' (I won't elaborate) but some was just tongue-in-cheek humour like 'booby or booty' etc. None of that makes it acceptable what the show did though, especially included Carmen Carrera in the pictures. 🖤
It's possible it was also a call back to day time talk shows from the 90s. Sally Jessy Raphael and Ricky Lake would do episodes where they had the audience trying to guess if it was a "man or woman"

I’d love to see Courtney back on drag race just because she’s so talented and in my opinion likeable, and she did so well on her season. But her reasoning, for not wanting to do all stars, makes sense. Especially with how successful she is completely outside of the show

Courtney's reasoning is very wise. Giving yourself up to the "mercy" of the editors would be massively risking her career. There's a reason why reality tv has the reputation that celebs only go on it when their career has declined to the point there is less to lose (of course, there are exceptions, but it's accurate in general). Besides, what would she have to gain? She doesn't need the exposure or anything.

The knowledge that Rupaul is against all sort of criticism, keeps me away from the franchise. I believe this inform us very clearly on where part of the toxicity from this fandom comes from. I don’t wants to encourage this kind of mentality with my time. I still think drag is one of the coolest art form of this day and age.

Honestly just watch drag race Thailand since it's so separated and different from all the other drag races. Ru and WoW had essentially no say in its production. So much more positivity and respect between the contestants and judges. I'd recommend finding the subtitles by KudaLakorn since it adds cultural notes.

Raven is a fan favorite now but during the show Raven was not on Tyra’s level of serving. Don’t let your current biases misguide your judgement, Tyra turned out season 2 whether we like her or not

Phi Phi O'hara is by far the angriest drag queen ever portrayed and she isn't black.
Also, the Vixen coming back to the show would be a lost of time for her, a waste of energy too. We saw so many queens trying to get theri redemption, but a redemption is not a thing you get in this show, it's a thing the edit gives you. They force you to talk about a LOT of stuff in a lot of different days, and they pick and choose what you said to create a narrative. I'm sure they would only put her there to prove a point: That she's an angry person who never tried to get help and that Eureka was right all along.
I'm not the kind of person who remembers all queens names or get angry at them, because I take the show as an entertainment, not as real life. I take what they do OUTSIDE the show as their own selves, that's why you can see me laughing at Trinity the Tuck on the show but NEVER see me rooting for her, that's why you will never see me rooting for Sherry Pie, and so on and so on.
If there's a thing I learned with time is that, its easy for someone to pretend to be better, especially on front of cameras. That's why, for someone to change in my eyes, they need to constantly do the right thing EVEN if that fucks them in the proccess, for a long time before I start liking them again. But that's ALWAYS outside of the show.
I really cannot understand WHY, someone would throw hate or hate a queen in general for how she was shown on the show. People can be dumb, and looking by the people being nice to Sherry Pie, they can also lack emphaty, but I never forget the ones who do stupid shit like Trinity did.

i think the vixen probably got the worst villain edit in drag race history. as much as i dislike when queens start fights with others on the show, i'm not upset at vixen at all, i'd even say i'm on her side on the arguments. the show clearly exaggurated the fights by making them seem like vixen started shit for no reason at all. considering her biggest feud was with eureka, who later said something racist and very insensitive in a livestream, i'm not gonna rule out the possibility that eureka had acted in a similar way during the show. all in all, i agree that it would be a complete waste of vixen's time to return to the show for """redemption"""

So anybody remember that one episode where they had to do rupauls life through dance (season 5 i think) and it was Alyssa Edwards and Coco Montrease. Alyssa was the 'evil" ru and after the preformance santino (i think it was santino) said that he wasnt sure that the evil ru lost and ru said that the evil ru didnt lose? Because seeing how all these queens were banned for standing up to ru (most not all) just reminded me of what was supposed to be a joke

It felt off to me to have Courtney Act and the Vixen next to Sherry Pie. I guess I would prefer more distinction between people who are on the sh-t list because they spoke up about mistreatment and RPDR's blind spots (at the time) and people who have committed crimes against others.
