That Rosalina intro is still one of my favorite video intros of all time. One of the first CZcams clips I went out of my way to save for myself

Lee does have a very pleasing voice. The VOs were very smooth. I never really thought about whose voice that is, but I instantly recognized it when clips were played.
I cannot wait for Lee to make a Willaim Afton joke about Miraculous Ladybug's Monarch.
Edit: I still wonder to this day how a miraculous comment about Monarch on film theory got so many likes.

Idk if anyone mentioned it but I just realized that they're doing these videos in reverse order from when they created each channel.
The most recent addition was Style Theory so Amy's video came first, followed by Santi's since Food Theory was the 3rd addition and now it's Lee's turn.
Whoever came up with the release order idea for these videos is an absolute genius.

The Hearthstone video by Lee just sounds so good, his voice is so nice and soothing.
Right? It sounds like a really neat video! Too bad it'll never see the light of day.
The way Lee’s reaction to doing Madame web as his first theory as host is somehow way more negative than Santi’s reaction to the gargling theory.
i'm 100% surprised that throughout all of the theory channels and how long they have been around, they have not touched the wwe at all, except for a few references and jokes
That is so true technically it does come under sport tho so that’s maybe why it hasn’t been covered
this could be true@@j-n1p3r but it is sports entertainment. and theories could be done on storylines, why wrestlers where certain attires, tricks/effects that they use, even some stuff on the games like rating systems or even storylines in some of the older games. there is plenty i feel they could draw from, and i think they would make for some enjoyable epesodes
@@Shane_Stormthey're AWFUL about copy striking any little thing using footage tho, so unless they got sponsored it would be impossible to make
@@nejishadow they used to be super stricks about that, but under the new management, they have been alot more open and engaging more. so it wouldn't be that big of a deal now

I realized these kind of videos have been coming out in reverse of when the channels were made.
I like how Lee took a lot more control in his video compared to the other host's videos. You can tell he really had a lot to say since he was part of the team for so long. 😊

@presentlycrescent6328 I've heard Resolve is one of the best, I'm in Capcut for now, at least until I get a feel for process in general.

I gotta say, I've been a huge forest lee fan for a long time. Learning he was on theorist was an amazing surprise. I'm happy he's taking over as host for film theory, he's earned it!
4:52 to me Nintendo next step is VR. Hopefully that way they get VR everywhere as they normally do with every other console of theirs.

LOVE THIS SO MUCH!! It was awesome to see Lee's greatest hits and we only wish that him and Matpat had more time to revisit everything since Lee's pretty much the longest running member of Team Theorist out of all the four hosts who will be taking over. We are excitedly looking forward to seeing more of Lee in the Film Theory channel when the baton is officially passed on to him next month!
It's amazing how he is giving it away and not stopping it
The whole talk about Sequelitis. It is true. Arin did most if not all of his thinking in that series, but the Zelda one effectively killed the series. If you seen it, there are entire video essays about how wrong he was with that one, including but not limited to how things he suggested as fixes already being in the game, and misdirections in it being fault of him being incapable to sit down and read exposition for two seconds.
It's some of his most respectable work, but it's probably half the reason of why he stopped doing it too.
I agree entirely. People will always focus on reasons something is wrong, especially when it gives them “proof” that their nostalgic memories are sound in telling them their favorite game is indeed perfect. Arin may have been mistaken about a few things in the game, but he was incredibly right about a lot of his points, and it shows in the way Nintendo responded with Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Arin does still have critiques for them, namely fast travel taking away from the classic Zelda push to explore, but that makes sense for who he is.

one thing that gets me excited about having new separate hosts for each channel is how cool and special crossovers would be for specific theories
Somehow Lee and film theory have been here for some of the longest time yet I know the least about both. I honestly love Lee he's a great guy. I cant help but smile when he's in videos. But I know almost NOTHING about him XD. Same for film theory. I tend to watch that one less so I remember less of it. This video was very fun and useful for getting to know Lee better
20:09 "Thanks Blizzard creative, darn you Blizzard legal" My entire frustration with bureaucracy (more specifically, copyright laws) in a nutshell (copyright was supposedly made to stimulate creation, but a lot of the time it just becomes an obstacle for creation overall).
27:33 "Hearing Reggie say the words I had written, how odd that was" I didn't even know Reggie was being "puppeteered" on that episode, but then again, maybe it was too naive to assume he had a part on that script himself (I loved the DeadLock format btw, so it made me sad to hear it had bad consequences - 33:26).
Super excited for the future of theorists! Also, Matt is stepping up his style game, I'm excited for the next style theory!!!

Hearing the corporate bureaucracy stuff is so fun! I'd love a bureaucracy theory! I'd probably be the only one to watch so it might not be the most viable channels.
I think Deadlock would have worked better if it were animated characters and had guests voice acting. It's hard to not associate the argument with the person. It's the same reason that trivia hosts are perceived to be smarter by people even though they're literally just reading from a card.
One day I'm gonna learn adobe premiere and after effects. I started with Sony Vegas back in the very earliest days of CZcams making REALLY bad RuneScape music videos during the unregistered hypercam era of CZcams. Messed around in Filmora 5 or 6 years ago and just learned Cyberlink PowerDirector. The Adobe's are next on my list. I also need to get better with Blender. I made a doughnut a long time ago but probably need to do it again! Finding time is hard and wanting to learn everything makes it even harder. =(
Its funny because I didn't know Lee really UNTIL I recognised his voice and was like "ooooooooh"
And I've been around since 2015.
So to have some familiarity in this change has been a help.

Video(s) Idea:
so 4 years ago when the live action Avatar show was first announced Matpat made a “the Science of Waterbending” episode about how you could waterbend and talked about how each element is possible in real life, but he never made any follow up videos.
Now the show’s out and Lee can make them, but instead of just making the rest Lee can make a “the Science of Earthbending” as earth comes right after water in the Avatar cycle.
Then years later when Lee passes the channel to a new host they can tackle the science of Firebending. Then when they pass it on the next person can do Airbending completing the Film Theory Host Avatar Cycle [FTHAC if you will]
Good god the nostalgia hit I got seeing the old deadlock stage and set up. I used to love deadlock. Hearing Lee talk about seeing someone like Reggie read his script hit me. That’s so cool. We’ll all miss Matt but I’m so glad these cool people are getting a chance to do cool stuff
All of these channels need to be on television. They really need to be on television. There should be a theoryverse with comics and games and television and many other activities to grow with Theorist Media.
As much as I'm grieving MatPat's departure from the channels, I'm genuinley so excited for the future of them! Lee, Santi, Amy, and Tom are all people I've gotten to know well (mostly from GTLives) and when I saw that they were becoming the new hosts I smiled so hard.

WHAT?! I grew up with Did you know Gaming videos and hearing your voice in that video gave me a nostalgic rush. Now I want to rewatch all the videos.

I never realized Lee was the one doing 'Did You Know Gaming?' I haven't watched those in years, he has such a pleasant voice, which might be weird thing to say but it's true, also Deadlocked was an amazing series I loved that series so much, these meeting Hosts videos aren't just amazing to get to know them more but it's also such a nice trip down memory lane

I know the running joke on the internet has been that Film Theory is the most overlooked theory channel, but as somebody who doesn't play a lot of videogames and consumes media mostly through TV and movies, Film Theory has always been my favorite channel ❤. It's sad to see MatPat leave, but I'm exited to see what Lee is going to bring to the table in this new era.
