Rough country 3.5” Silverado lift, and a visit to Mr.Post’s.

- Hung out after work and installed a Rough Country 3.5” lift kit on a 2020 Silverado 1500. Complete new strut assemblies, sway bar drop, rear lift blocks and nitro shocks. Then swung by Mr Post’s place and got an update on his Honda collection.
I have the same paint job, running boards, stock suspension with 285/65/18. Each time I look at my truck I'm wondering what a 3.5 lift would look like and I can see now. Thanks for the video.

Got that exact lift, rides like factory, I believe the tires I have on equal out to a 34x11.5 tire on 22’s
I was hoping to see how you removed and installed new ones. This video is same as instructions provided in kit.
What size tires did your friend end up getting on the Chev? I’m thinking of putting the same lift on mine
He went with a 275/65/20 BFG all terrain on the stock wheel.
@@turbostoybox2182 Don’t they come with that from the factory? It’s either 275/65 or 275/60
@@leir2005 yeah 275/60/20 (33” tire) vs these are 34.25”
Great! I’ve got a 19 like that and also want to keep the original 20in rims. How big of tires did he get on there?
He went with a 275/65/20. Narrow enough for a stock wheel, tall enough to fill the opening decent.

The shop twice (spun coil and a few other small things) and they can’t find nothing. You ever heard that?
Huh no. I would think there has to be something loose or binding?
Yeah I don’t know. Just picked it back up yesterday and when I went to back into a spot with the wheel right it clunked louder than before. I’m taking to Chevy on Monday.
@@anuke24check if sway bar end link is hitting cv axle, my kit didn’t come with drop bracket and had to add it

any resaon why you left in the shim that was on the rear leaf springs? I ask since I was told to take them off before adding the angled block.
If I recall that piece was bolted to the spring with the centering pin removing it would have required separating the leaf pack. But it has been a while since we did this.
@@turbostoybox2182 yea it’s between the center pin and leaf spring. I ask to see if he had any vibration issues with the drive line and was told by rough country to remove it but some videos have it removed others don’t lol.

How is the lift doing so far? Been looking at this kit for my 21 Silverado.
I’ve installed these for a couple guys at work, both have been super happy so far.

Hi i have 2022 chevrolet silverado 1500 custom. Im installing 3.5 strut lift for my car . Do i need sway bar drop brackets or stock would work
I would use the drop brackets. Otherwise the swaybar sets at a steep angle and binds the suspension.
Where can you find the drop brackets for purchase?
Did the kit come with the sway bar drop bracket, or did you get it somewhere else? My kit didn’t come with one.
Yes this kit came with that.
Does anyone know how to get the drop brackets? I have the same lift but mine didn’t come with them. I called rough country and it said they don’t make them for this size lift. It makes no sense.
Drop brackets for what? The lower control arm drop brackets? No needed unless you go 5” or more from my understanding.

Firmer than stock at first but has softened up after 1500 miles some.
