- I've kinda been into sonic games again so with Origins releasing recently I played through all of the classic games and Metallic Madness bad future really stuck out to me. I really liked the Mania version but the original CD version has this dark quality to it with the chord progression I really liked so it's been stuck in my head for a while. I probably went overboard with the original melodies on this one but I had fun so that's cool. Hope you guys enjoy it!

I love how 3:01 has a sudden feeling of hope, despite Bad Future Metallic Madness being the worst outcome possible - Sonic still has a chance to fix the past before reaching Act 3

@Bloxxy Box yeah like the music up to that point is telling sonic that it’s too late and he can’t do anything about it and the music up to that point is sonic coming to terms with the fact that he failed the future, and suddenly realizing that he has one last chance to make things right with the planet. Going back to the past may be putting Sonic’s life at risk, but it is a last resort to putting an end to Dr. Robotnics twisted reality.

Just finished playing Sonic CD (first sonic game) after having a bunch of these sonic songs and remixes on my big playlist for years. And now this is my reward? Thank you!

Sonic CD.
Man, this game is a roller coaster of fun.
And the routes to get the Good Ending are pretty good. Either you locate giant rings, enter with 50 rings, and grab all of the Time Stones, or go to the past of each stage and wipe out the teleporters.
This game, to me, is the peak of 2D Sonic

Sonic CD to the classic sonic games is like dragon ball gt is to the dragon ball franchise, both feel like awesome filler arcs and took a lot of freedom with art direction/writing that makes ppl love it or hate it, no in between, but at the end of the day we can all agree Sonic CD music/Super Saiyan 4 are recognized as masterpieces and their respective franchises wouldn't be what they are now without those
If you mod the Steam version of this game, you can unlock starting time zones for each level.
So what I did was I started each zone in the Bad Future and forced myself to travel to the past twice to destroy the generator.
SonicCD Hard Mode.
It was alot of fun and extremely rewarding.

yeah thats a weird order but the best imo, 1 has many failures in gameplay but its a good game for beginners, 3&K is PERFECT and 2 just sucks lol

I remember watching this old Sonic Cartoon when I was a kid, honestly I never watched a lot of it though I did love it. I've never really interacted with the sonic franchise but this remix is making me seriously reconsider.

Man, I've listened to your Stardust Speedway "B" Mix remix so many times already that when THIS dropped, I already knew I was in for something quality because Metallic Madness "B" Mix is another one of my top favorite Sonic tracks and you've definitely got a way with music. Well done as always Kamex. :)
And personally I don't think you went that overboard with the original melody, you still deviate enough to be a unique work and the samples from Stardust Speedway "B" Mix and Boss!! are examples of this.
