Just an FYI since it wasn't mentioned in the video . You don't need shaymin or Darkrai to complete the pokedex or get the shiny charm
If you do want them though then you can get the quests from laventons quest board. Same for manaphy and phione

It would be good if Space time distortions actually spawned more frequently than they do. I've been running around the coastlands for over an hour wanting a magnemite, but no space time distortions have appeared.

I've played the game almost 40 hours and have only witnessed maybe 2 or 3 distortions...
You can find magnetites floating around in coronet Highlands I think it's rare though
Hey I know this is late but space-time distortions are on a time limit. They can go for five minutes to 40 minutes. Five minutes is the smallest chance that they will appear while 40 minutes guarantees you a space-time distortion. Also keep in mind that opening The pause menu and battling will pause the timer. And each time you enter a new region The timer will reset. You can watch a video about how space-time distortions work from Austin John. Hope this helps.
This is super helpful, thank you so much. A part of me kind of wishes you did it by location (like started with everything in Obsidian, then everything in Crimson, and so on) but I know that could've gotten redundant after a bit with all the duplicates. Either way, saving this one for when I have completed as much as I can on my own ^_^
There's an alternative way to obtain the other 2 starter Pokémon you didn't choose at the start of the game. After completing the main story, you can go to the Galaxy Hall in Jubilife Village, and talk to Laventon.

quick tip for anyone wanting the 2 starters they didn't pick, simply talk to the professor in his lab/office after completing the main story and he'll give them to you
another tip, you have a chance to get the item to evolve scyther into kleavor from graveler. just battle or catch them and you should be able to get it in under 10 minutes

Only 19 left, and you'll have your Pokédex complete. Once it's complete, you'll get the opportunity to catch Arceus.
You can also get Shaymin and Darkrai if you have certain games. (I think it’s Sword and/or Shield for Shaymin and BD and/or SP for Darkrai.)
Bdsp can get both shaymin and darkrai

Cool. Almost all of my favorites are in it. And one of my favorites even got a regional form.
You can also go later game and follow Mai's quest for Massive Mass Outbreaks. I got loads of cleffa and munchlax (among others) that way. Its also decent for alpha hunting

Ironically craniados was my first rate encounter in a space time distortion. And one I've not ever ran into before ( I've started over atleast three times. Once not fully beating it second time I did beat it. Third time just playing and filling Dex.) I failed horribly then wound up got into one again and just my luck alpha rampardos xD and shieldon. Wound up getting that. Also I have found 4 shinies just running through in each restart the first two one a peace. The last one I'm on I got two in a span of hours apart. The shiny statistics in this game even without the outbreaks or shiny charm are just amazing. XD

Phione is very rare spawn in the same cave u fight manaphy after the fight pretty sure is shiny huntable too

theres a alpha blissey in coronet highlands, past the ghost area on an island that you can ride to.
also if you cant be bothered to get friend ship with an eevee you can get espeon in the Iceland's rift things and slylveon in obsidian rifts and not sure about umbreon

Tip: If you want spiritomb without getting all 107 wisps, you can use Pokémon home and transfer it from another game, to count it as caught (you can transfer it back, and it will still be counted as caught)

@@Sp3ctralI idk but i saw a video on how people were complaining that they took their pokemon out of their original games to transfer them to the new ones and turns out they couldn't because those pokemon couldn't go there and they had to keep paying or else those old pokemon wouldn't be accesible. Also you couldn't return them to their original games for some reason
Actually munchlax is found in the heartwood which is a much easier place to find it.
For me it was the hot spring in Alabaster Icelands
having the pokédex be so important in the story literally makes me feel bad if i think about not completing it 😭 how are people gonna know about pokémon if i don't have every page complete ??

If anyone is wondering why bunery takes longer to evolve compared to the other friendship pokemon its because its starts with a base friendship of 0 compared to others that usually start with a base friendship stat of around 70

shiny charm is from level 10 on every one, you just have to catch to get Arceus

Idk if this is an update but when I was trying to catch a riolu I flew away and came back to where the riolu is but when I came back it turned into a Lucario idk if it evolved or it just despawned the riolu and spawned in a Lucario

There is also a mission you can do for the peat block using ursalana to track down the guys sister in the galaxy hall. At the end of the mission you’ll have to find the guy and when you do he’ll give you a peat block

You can get the starters by after beating volo you can get them from the professor
You already can get them after the dialga and palkia events, so after the credits.
Quick question : Do you have to catch them all or just register them as seen on the pokedex because it says i have like 207 registered but only half caught.

Fun fact: Eevee and syilveon Can be found in the space-time distortion the obsidian field Eevee can normally be found in horseshoe Plains near the level 40 Alpha rapiddash.
i think most or maybe all can appear but with a lower chance, and some are exclusive to certain areas (example glaceon only appears in the distortions that happen in the ice area)

eevee is actually one of the earliest pokes i pick up in any run as you can just find it to your left in the first area. You can friendship evolve it around lv19 or go for a leafeon with calm mind which imo kinda breaks the game.
I goofed my first forty minutes catch of Eevee... I accidentally hit it with an Oran Berry while it was eating so it ran off... I was annoyed with myself...

you need all evolutions. if you're looking to get level 10 research for every pokémon (needed for shiny charm, not needed to catch Arceus i think) make sure you get full research of one stage before evolving it just in case the pokémon is rare

Hard spawn for me was Monferno I only ever saw one it ran away or i killed it i eventually evolved Chimchar to get one. I accidentally found Landorous whilst trying to lvl up through Alpha Enfernape by going back and forth. It almost killed me lol I ended up using 2 wing balls one to remove its wind and the other to capture it it worked on 2nd try.
when you say "post game" are you saying I can only catch those Pokémon after I beat the game? And if so, how do I capture Arceus if I need 237?

For rare spawns u can sleep till like night then if not there sleep til day check it respawns the pokemon cuz like how else would drifblim or gastly or the others spawn
They only spawn because they are only available at night not because they are respawning. The only way to respawn a Pokémon is to catch/defeat them all or go back to jubilife village and go back and check
