I’ve never felt affection for my Pokémon more than in this game because it really feels like I need them to literally survive.
Yeah most games before this there's definitely a disconnect from your pokemon on your squad minus being utilities in battle
To bad the moves Return and Frustration doesn’t come back.
All my pokemon have bad defenses, so they're dieing every battle
@@diegodejong4071 Relatable, especially the ghosts that get hit by dark type moves and getting backhanded by every Alpha mon.
That feeling of being in the red near fainting and throwing out your pokémon to start the fight as it's literally your only hope of getting away safely. It's incredible how fresh and alive this game feels after 25 years of the same pokémon games.
I was COMPLETELY blown away when my Luxray and my Eevee started talking to each other. And then I was BLOWN again when I went out into the wild and there was just a wild Onyx sleeping. Game Freak did SUCH a good job this time with making all of these pokemon feel like actual living beings.

Your reaction to the Glaceon sitting was the best part of my day today. It was so wholesome and fun seeing someone else as visibly excited about the small details like I have been.
The amount of personality They added to each Pokémon is great. I like how glaceon was more talkative while jolteon looked ready to fight and Sylveon was sleeping. I hope that’s something that Pokémon intended and that they add more of this kind of thing to more games. Makes them seem more real and you can even have individuals with different personality traits due to having different natures. Would be really cool. Great Video man!!definitely will use eevees to round out my starting team until I figure out what I want to use

Gotten in a few hours of playtime, and it’s definitely one of the funnest Pokémon games I’ve played in a while. It’s so easy to get lost in and a much needed shake up for the series.

I got an eevee mass outbreak extremely early on in my play through, I feel so lucky! I got like 12 right from the get-go.
I got it late game and and caught like 14.
I didn't get out break yet but I have like 10 now 😃✌️
I have a whole pasture of eevee's leveling them up
I am also trying to get an alpha shiny eevee or eeveelution to show to my friends there's a chance I can get one of those in obsidian field lands or STD
I got one asap and get 2 shiny eevee from it
I've noticed one eevee loves to hang out in the tall grass across the little pond where the Bidoofs spawn, and will spawn with them, but its hard to lure outside the grass, thus hard to judge when to aim. Also when leaving the camp if you hug the left cliff and work your way down towards the pond you end up right near the grass so you can dive in quickly if you spot an teevee. You got me obsessed. 5 hours plus into the tutorial and im halfway to my goal of an army of eevolutions.
Just played it for about an hour and I am really enjoying this game. My expectations are (so far) blown out of the water.
As much as I want sword and shield to be finished I think they were a beta

I got my Eevees friendship high enough to evolve by level 16, I think having it collect berries and stones also increases friendship because I was having Eevee do all of that in hopes it would raise their friendship
My Eevee evolved at level 16 too. I always thought you needed an element stone to make it evolve or at least that’s how it was when I was a kid but mine evolved into an Espeon which is something I had never seen before.
Every generation where a new eeveelution appeared in use different methods of evolution.
Gen 1: Stone
Gen 2: Friendship during day/night
Gen 4: Be near a rock in the overworld (you can use the leaf/ice stone now)
Gen 6: high affection (or friendship in games that dont have it like arceus) and must have a fairy move

@@midnightflowerlivi that's not how sylveon works. If it evolved into sylveon it's because you left the move baby doll eyes (a fairy type status move and only fairy move eevee can learn naturally)in its active moveset
This is 100% true. I got my Umbreon at level 12 and Espeon around 14-15. Got a Golbat at level 22 and Crobat was already primed to evolve and its because of using the Pokemon to collect berries and break rocks etc for items!
I love how much genuine fun Austin John has when playing these games. So nice to see someone really enjoying what they do.
Just for you to try out if you want, I ran around having my eevee do task such as hitting trees for apricorns and ores and it seemed to significantly raise it's friendship. I never used it in a battle but by level 19 it was ready to evolve into Sylveon. G'luck and have fun!
I can confirm as well, got an Espeon by level 19

using my eevees to gather my reasources worked even better for me, level 9, 11, and 12 for evolves for me
Also letting them out of their pokeball and talking to them seems to also increase friendship. But I guess it's more time efficient to just throw them at trees and rocks to do your bidding and get something out of it lol

I've found using the Eevee to collect materials for you helps as well, also chucking it out and speaking to it. All 3 of my friendship evo's happened before level 14.
I’ll definitely have to try talking to my Pokémon more to raise their friendship!
Sane here! Glad because I didn't know how the evolution with sylveon worked. Lol
I waited for night to evolve my eevee when it could evolve. My second eevee was supposed to be a Espeon but turned into a Sylveon instead- which I gladly accepted.
Would've done the same mistake because I'm aiming to get a espeon now
Update. Spoke with my Zubat frequently, and it was able to evolve into Crobat as soon as it evolved into Golbat. Speaking to them seems to be OP for increasing friendship.
They also spawn during the day further in that whole field.
The tip on ridding out of the fairy move was very helpful. I was hoping for my Eevee to evolve Umbreon and got disappointed when it became Sylveon.
That's why I save before evolving any eeveelution with friendship just in case. I messed up on a few before learning my lesson.
Thank you!! None of the guides ive seen so far mention the spawn table so I had just been resetting morning and daytime and nothing has been changing. Clearing them out certainly sped up the process. Finally caught my first Eevee!
As soon as I found eevee after akira walks you through the trial I immediately caught it and evolved it into umbreon

I love all the attention to even the most minute little details, like the head tracking when the trainer crouches. There's so many new animations and interactions in this game and it's amazing. The praise this game is getting is very deserved. Best Pokemon game released in a very long time, probably ever, by a large margin.
Yeah I found Eevee almost instantly in the start when I was supposed to be catching the first lot. Was so happy I found him, had no idea I could find them

I love you for this. I always try to get a full team of eeveelutions as soon as possible in every game they're available. I stumbled across one very early on in the tutorial. Knowing I can actually get all of them by like mission 8 is great
I absolutely adore the amount of detail and personality they gave all the Pokémon in this game. It really helps enhance the immersive experience, ya know? I love that you can bring out your entire party and just vibe in a circle, and the interactions with wild Pokémon. Seeing them sleep or sit down, eat the berry, or even chase you down makes them feel real.
I can see why it's best to avoid spoilers for your first Space-Time distortion. My first experience had me confused, slightly panicked, and overwhelmed in a good way. I was actually sad when it ended cause I enjoy the excitement.
Also Umbreon and Jolteon are my #1 and #2 favorite Eeveelutions also
Although my first Eeveelution I aimed for was Sylveon because I'd have the dark type overlap with Samurott, but also because Sylveon is a solid fairy type.
Literally just picked up my copy. Can’t wait to start! Love your videos. This man sends out content like its nothing. Take a good break soon man you deserve it!
I've played the game for an hour and I can really appreciate how much they've improves on facial expressions and movement for npcs and pokemon alike.
The Eevee I caught first (which was female, I was so happy about that!) evolved into Umbreon at lvl 15. The ones I evolved into Espeon and Sylveon were both at higher levels before I could evolve it. I think I just used my first Eevee to do all the stuff, so friendship leveled up faster.
There’s actually a icy rock just like the mossy rock to evolve into glaceon as well just like in the original games but I believe it’s MUCH later in the game
there is, but the point of the video was getting these pokemon, before beating the 1st boss/during the tutorial and how to do so.

As someone who's favorite Pokemon is in fact Glaceon, thank you very much for this! I won't lie I'm slightly tempted to just grind the satchels now for that ice stone

My favorite pokemon of all times is Glaceon and seeing how different Alpha Glacia sounds just blew my mind. Thank you so much for making these guides, and the little details like the pokemon looking at you on idle as well as when you choose moves in battle is insane.
I actually got a thunderstone in the Heartwood that had just spawned on the ground, so if you're really lucky that could be another way to get a Jolteon early on without needing to use merit points.
I feel like I got mine from stones cant remember though, but it was my first evo stone

My friend was chomping at the bit to get a Sylveon as soon as possible. I wanted a Vaporeon myself. I’m glad you can get them so early, it’ll make completing the ‘Dex easier later.

Re: Sky Tumble Stones, you can actually get them as soon as you can get the regular ones. Instead of heading straight out from the first Base Camp, go right through the rocks and you'll quickly make your way up on top of the cliffs to where there's Luxio/Luxray and Drifblims at night. Probably 5 or 6 Sky stones in that area, fully reachable as long as you can avoid battles

I got a outbreak of Eevee and, needless to say, I went nuts and caught as many as I could, as quickly as I could. I was trying to see if a shiny would pop up but, now I have like 7+ Eevees so, still a win win
If you’re trying to get a shiny eevee if you find another outbreak save your game and reset every time you don’t get a shiny I managed to get 4 shinys on one playthogh so far
@@jonathonlilbourne9264 at the time, I didn't know resetting outbreaks was a thing but now I have three shiny Eevees (and many other shiny Pokemon) thanks to the outbreak method. I appreciate the comment though, it would have helped a lot if I didn't already know. I'm hoping to get enough Eevees for all the evos
You need 5 of each Eeveelution to complete the pokedex so you can just evolve those eevees into whatever eevelution you still need more of.

Did this this morning, took me about an hour, maybe more to catch all the Eevee's I needed. Only had 1 double Eevee spawn and most of mine spawned during the day, in comparison to at night but well worth doing. Thanks Austin for the video.

In every game I always attempt to do challenge runs.. Nuzlockes/Monolockes and Eeveelockes in which I use only the Eevee line. It pleases me immesurably that I can set up a whole eeveelution team right at the start of the game. This guide is fantastic!
Glaceon is so cute, it's a shame it's one of the hardest/latest to get.
I knew about the spot, I found it by chance while exploring, but never saw an eevee there ever again, so I had to defeat the bidoofs, I wouldn't have thought about that! Now I can catch more eevees! Thanks for the explanations!
I am LOVING this game!! One of my biggest complaints about the mythicals having to wait for a specific event in order to get them. This game makes one obtainable, by putting in a ton of work for it, and that just makes it so rewarding! Now if I don’t get it, there’s no excuse that I missed the event because of work or something, and I feel like I EARNED it. Random comment, but whatever.

i have a few eevees by now, but i for example didn't know that you could evolve some with the help of those rocks.
The Glaceons talking to each other warmed my heart so much. So much care that Game freak made the Pokemon in this game feel REAL than the others.
I was casually strolling through the starting area and saw an eevee walking next to a bidoof. I scared it off by accident and hunted for a new one, eventually finding two more! Umbreon and Espeon here I come
I caught the alpha bibarel and put it next to the regular one and I about died from the cuteness when they both plopped into their sitting positions. Sleeping samurott too, oh my god. And their little animations and the way they watch you is so great. I had a haunter out in battle and it kept looking at me when it did a move like "Keheheheh >:D"
My first ever shiny in this game was a Eevee in that exact first spot
Full odds I had not even finished the game yet being one of my favorite Pokemon I was beyond ecstatic I think I was foaming at the mouth

I evolved my eevees into umbreon & espeon before they even reached lvl 20. I think I evolved them lvl 16-18. I think sending them out to knock on trees and rocks and feeding them berries boosts friendship a lot.
After I evolved my eevees I went straight for the alpha blissy and caught it. I was able to level them each up pretty high in the first two areas and got the stones I needed in a few time distortions.

Thanks for this video! I didn't even think about what might be a rare spawn or to look for them and I just finished the first boss. After an hour or two of doing this, I found my first Alpha Eevee (lvl 19) and (thankfully) could catch it! And it's Adamant nature to boot!
I ran into 5 and none was any nature I needed for any eeveelution. I was so disappointed to release them. I think I was super lucky to run into that many that day but super unlucky they weren't what I was needing. If only they could have been Adamant or Modest mostly. Modest would have been great for Espeon, Sylveon and Glaceon.....

Thanks for the video! Got myself all except Jolteon/Glaceon/Vaporeon before beating Kleavor, haven't found many sky rocks to break yet, just one in a cave. Pretty decently rounded party for my highest Pokemon being level 24 right now!

OMG I am so glad I do not have the game yet and saw this. I have always dreamed of having a team of Eevees that I raise to be each different evolution. The fact that I can do this makes me insanely happy and I cannot wait to get it! Thank you so much! My favorites are Vaporeon, Leafeon, and Glaceon. We'll see if I have the patience to get that ice stone early lol.

i am really liking the game so far!! there are some issues that were pretty much expected (graphical glitches, models clipping through things, models randomly dropping frames) but none of them really bother me that much. the gameplay is super new and a lot of little detail things are very much exactly the things the pokémon community had been asking for. it's neat!

If you grab the black stones where the sky stones are there is a rare chance to drop thunder stones there as well, its a really rare drop but you don't have to go through the hassle of merit points to get it and it will allow you to get jolteon before the Kleavor encounter
My fav Eeveelution is Umbreon, so I've got all of them (both caught and evolved), all but Umbreon, which I evolved by giving him berries and putting him to win easy fights.
Half-game, I thought my Sylveon was strong so after the credits I took it out to train it and level it up even with the rest of my team and surprise, it was a scam hahahahahaha same happened with most of the other Eeveelutions, then my hope was on Umbreon but when the moment of truth came, it was even weaker than the others hahahaha so dissapointing, but hey, I already made it's pokédex entry and I'm doing all the rest of the Eeveelutions' and the normal initial Eevee, to finally put them in a box. 😅
you can also catch them on the other side of the pond in the grass there, its a much higher chance than the bit you showed at the start
it is the same spawn rate as it is the same encounter table. And i found it to be faster to just respawn and sleep in teh first area instead of checking both areas. especially before Wyrdeer.

Yeah, I caught an Evee during the tutorial and I was so excited to get Espeon, and then it evolved into a Sylvion because I was silly and didn't get rid of Baby doll eyes, which is fine, but I was still sad.
I'm also pretty certain that you can get Thunderstones by breaking the sparkling black stones.
Edit: I also got lucky and there was an Evee mass outbreak really early, and all the Evee were male, I kid you not, I have a pasture half full of Evee and they're all Male.

Thanks for this guide. I kept trying just the way you suggested and I didn't get any Evee spawns, but after the 8th go, I came across 2 Evees and one was an Alpha!
I had the Same Fun time with the first Time- Distortion, Caught a few Fun pokemon too
And I did get an Ice-stone from the Distortion I believe
There are also other stones you can get from the tumblestones, the blue ones can also drop dawn stones, the black one drops dusk stones and moon stones, and the red one can also drop a shiny stone
You should go into Space-TIme Distortions whenever one appears because not only will you find rare items like evolution stones and other evolution items but also randomly encounter Pokémon - among them the Eeveelutions. I caught an Espion during one of them and battled other eeveelutions as well.

Thx soooo much in telling where to find evolutions stones without having to collect mp. I got my alpha eevee to evolve to vaporeon and I almost got all of the eevee evolutions in the beginning of the game. I’ve always wanted to have one of the eevee evolution on my team at the beginning. This is the first that I ever took my sweet time in enjoying a game like this! Thx so much
Man 2022 has gotten off too a good start so far.. there is soooo much to play that it’s hard to dedicate time to each and every amazing title so far + games I myself love so much..
Funny thing to me is that back at the Pokémon Legends Arceus Announcement / Reveal, I saw the game and was blown away by what it was and the Hype for me automatically shot to 100+ and I was sooo excited but at the same time I was sooo bummed out cus I thought to myself “Man if the game looks like this then it has to at the very least be like 5 or so years out!! It looks like they barley started production on the game.. the damn grass and environment looks soo flat.! But man once it comes out it is going to be one hell of a fun Pokémon game I cannot wait to play” and then immediately thought “I honestly hate it when they announce games that are so far out only to then go into complete darkness for like a year and a half and only leave breadcrumbs here and there to the point to where everyone forgets about the game until we see another trailer and be like Oh Yeah that game is in the works huh.. only to not see it again for a few more years..” (Looking at YOU BOTW2!! Like how the hell do they go from “BOTW2 originally started off as another DLC project for BOTW but we kept adding new things / features and kept coming up with all these ideas that we thought why not just turn it into a sequel? This one is made of all assets from BOTW as the foundation and everything is there so it would not take too long at all to complete it” and yet here we are with still NO RELEASE DATE!!) Anyways.. those thoughts were replaced with confusion when I saw the “Coming Early 2022” I thought to myself “WHAT THE HELL?!?” “Oh this game is definitely getting delayed.. sadly”
But I preordered the second it was available and between this and Dying Light 2 & Horizon 2 on PS5 + Uncharted Thieves Collection … PLUS I FREAKIN LOVE Playing Madden 22 so it’s been hard setting aside time for all these amazing titles.. what a way to start the year!
And Legends Arceus really is like Pokemon’s BOTW.. it may not be the best looking game on Switch or a decent looking game at that Imo But it is fun / fresh as hell and extremely addicting to play.. I only hope they build on this formula and it basically becomes what Origins did to the Assassins Creed Series where it completely Changed the identity of the the series.. but I hope LA does it for the better..
And if we ever were to either get a follow up to Legends Arceus or for the new titles to follow suit I hope that Nintendo gives them WAY More time to develop this game so that the graphics can be mind blowing and there can be so many more great ideas and maybe ALL POKÉMON in 1 game and idk maybe hopefully finally have a damn Pokémon game LAUNCH WITH SUPPORT FOR HOME!!! I got a Totodile I been wanting to use for the longest time but he just sits there as nothing is compatible with him yet..
Only way to go is up for Legends..
AustinJohn I hope you see this. This video was an inspiration to me. As a child playing Original Pokémon I always dreamed of collecting all the Eeveeloutions. So seeing that this could be done without trading or cheating was so amazing. After several hours of in game farming and story I just got my final Eeveeloution “Glaceon”.
I just am beyond stoked with having all of them and taking pictures of them all together.
