- The Terrarian, still legendary today? The Terrarian. Terraria's final boss The Moon Lord gives its fair share of powerful weaponry upon defeat. Dropping many classics like the Meowmere, S.D.M.G and The Last Prism. Additionally, Terraria's most powerful Yoyo 'The Terrarian' can be dropped as well. Offering the player essentially a Flairon amped up to 11! Today we take a look at how it managed in Terraria 1.4.4, and if you should be using it to help obtain the legendary Zenith. Enjoy!

@@Adamm17004 It doesnt need to be balanced it would be one of the final weapons in the game, the point is to delete every enemy. Ur telling me you think going from meowmeres 4 piercing 25-30k dps to zeniths infinite and wall piercing 80-90k+ is balanced? (Both tested on 5 enemies but zenith goes MUCH higher.)

The Terrarian is pretty legendary, in fact it's the only yo-yo in the game that can have that modifier

About your methods to kill Moon Lord... I used the Terra Blade and Beetle Scalemail. It piledrives the Celestial Towers and makes you practically untouchable because of Beetle Scalemail's set bonus. If you keep hitting targets on a straight run, beetles will increase Damage and Meelee Speed, up to 30%, the point that the Terra blade becomes a wide machine gun. With the Fire Gauntlet and Mechanical Glove, you can carry away Solar enemies by simply aiming at them and releasing your might. I literally dealt more DPS than the Daybreak, by about 125% DPS.
More love? They're solid enough IMO. Other types of weapon could use more attention.

Terrarian is my fav weapon for farming events for zenith. Homing is so damn good and it does so much damage 😊
Yoyos are too overpowered to be so underrated
all other yoyos are criminally underpowered. They are barely viable(hopefully after the yoyo bag rework they will actually be good)
@@healthycheese8882Fax, I’ve been trying a Yo-yo only master mode play through and I haven’t been able to get past the wall of flesh because of the hungries, as you need to get in close to hit the wall. It doesn’t help that I play on Xbox which makes it much harder to aim the yo-yos aswell😔
@@MrJDFallonI was in a similar situation. I recommend using titan potions to keep the hungries out the way.

I remember doing a Calamity melee play through and the terrarian carried me to DOG. Which, for a vanilla weapon, is insane
I played the melee class in the past and this yoyo was Too OP

As a Summoner, I agree with Sock's statement. The best whip, right now, is the Kaleidoscope, which has meaningless Tag Damage compared to my 257 Terraprisma Damage and Summon capacity of 10. There are no effects, and I honestly want to find the Dark Harvest that I put in some chest in my stockpile. I will have to search for it. The Sentries, like the Rainbow Crystal really is awesome for events, and the Lunar Portal does okay DPS on bosses, especially since I have a sentry capacity of 4, but I think the Whip really helps the minions, and using the Zenith as my held weapon is great, but punts the reason to use a Whip
Aren’t there 6 confirmed new whips for 1.4.5?
@@RandomHandle837 I believe Red "leaked" 3. A Duke Fishron whip, because Summoners ignore him, and a Stardust Whip (WTF happened to side progression?), And a Moon Lord Whip... I wish I could nerf the Stardust Whip, and nerf the other Celestial Towers weapons and buff the side quest weapons, to fix the progression stages so that we all want to fight the side bosses.

Was grinding the zenith, used this since I didn’t get a meowmere or star wrath and it was way better than I expected (it’s truly amazing)
I didn’t even use it with yo-yo bag and still got about 5,000 dps

I never used a dodge Loadout against Moon Lord, despite being a Summoner wholeheartedly. It's almost impossible to no-hit Cthulhu anyway, so it's better to be a Warrior and just Nurse heal repeatedly.

I love the way how i obtain it for the first time, not fron moon lord but from my friends who's looking for enchanted sword, he cant find it so i used a special seed and found it, he traded his terrarian for my enchanted sword, i must say i breeze through pre-hardmode until moon lord, this yoyo really is legendary

I still remember my first playthrough, since the game is very dependent on wiki I had to use the achievements to progress thru the game and while I'm looking thru them I found the zenith achievement so I made it my end goal and later on found out about the guide, when I finally got to moon lord I was very exited but scared I didn't know what to expect and then I lost so many time that I forgot how to count (did I mention that my first playthrough was on master mode) and when I finally beat him the first drop I got was the terrarian and since I was progressing with achievements I already had the yoyo bag made for the eye of cathulu yoyo and the moment i tried the terrarian i fell in love, its insane how fast it can take out the moon lord it made farming a breeze if you've never tried yoyo's i heavily recommend it.
How do you guys think the magic yo-yo string will work with the terrarian?

this used to be my favourite op weapon, but then the zenith came along! i figured it wasn't worth taking up an accessory slot for the yoyo bag when i could just use the zenith for everything, wish the zenith wasn't so op haha
1.4.5 is gonna make yoyos much more stronger because of that accessory that shoots the yoyo if the string breaks another reason why I’m excited for it
Forgot that mentioned that only Terrarian can forged to Legendary unlike any others yoyo.
As a summoner I feel like I’m being slapped in the face by this intro and I kind of like it.
The best thing about this yoyo in my opinion is that it's really the best thing to use to farm moon lord pre-zenith if you're going for something else. The short ranged projectiles just home straight onto the eyes, dealing insane damage

The Terrarian is basically a pseudo Zenith that comes in the form of a yo-yo and you get shortly before obtaining the actual Zenith. It’s one of my favorite weapons and I always enjoy using it even after I get the zenith.

Looks like Yoyo bag is getting an upgrade in the 1.4.5 update, based on a new spoiler they showed, Yoyos now fire a long range piercing yoyo projectile.
It might be even powerful with the magic yo-yo bag coming in 1.4.5

Would you be willing to review the hive five? I think its honestly the best preHM yoyo in the game, especially if you're using the hive pack to boost its bees!!
If you get a sword instead of the terrarian, you can use the sword to help beat moonlord quicker so you get the terrarian in order to make farming for the sword faster
I hope yo-yo’s get reworked in the future
Tbh, I just wish the homing was a bit more aggressive. It's great for sure, but the short range often makes the projectiles kinda just bonus single damage rather than helping with groups. Compared to the meowmere where they shoot all over the place and help with hordes more.
That said, it's just an extremely minor annoyance. It would be nice to have it scale with speed or something, but it's not like it hurts it much.

yo you missing out by not reviewing the portal staves for summoner moon lord drops....they are both bangers, the green one got a rework, not sure if the crystal one did tho, and so they are very very good too, consider that

We should have a late game yo-yo that is simply massive, like the size of the the eye of cthulu (boss not weapon). Think like a massive spinning saw blade on a chain with infinite piercing.
I had an idea like that, too. But my thoughts were of a Razorblade Typhoon-style saw around a fishing drop yoyo that would have very little Knockback with a very fast damage tick, like, every 4 ticks (15X/s)
Do you guys use the slime mount to reveal nearby caves?
I use this in my journey world because it's good but not every boss dies instantly, I still play as if they can kill me but odd.

I'm doing a Yoyo only playthrough right now, I'm post skeletron, the yoyo subclass is... a bit lacking to say the least, still very fun since I'm playing with my sibling
Its about as painful if you tried it in Calamity. Sure you get a few more yoyos, and they have extra effects too. But they're so much more worse than even true melee swords or swords of the same tier. Yes, im doing infernum melee and the only yoyo I used was terrarian.
Tbf that stage is one of the best for yoyos bc of hive five which is literally the best melee weapon for skeleton
If yoyo weapons were easier to use (wouldn't bounce like crazy and no wall exploit debuff) I would actually love them
during your tests against enemies, why are you increasing the damage of the meowmere/terrarian by a LARGE amount?

IIRC, before the zenith was added, the terrarian had the max potential dps in the game!
I used terrarian during 1.3, as i found it to have higher dps than meowmere and star wrath with my setup.

Before the Zenith was introduced, I would argue that the Terrarian was the best weapon in the entire game...from any class...assuming you used the yoyo bag.

im pretty sure you can tank legendary mode moon lord with the right setup
try to do a maximum ammo reservation possible video , and see if you can get it above 100%

Even though the zenith takes absolut top position,terrarian still my favorite weapon cause of the nostalgia fill that it gives and also because is perfectly balanced for a endgame weapon,unlike the shredder of a weapon that is zenith,and this makes me fill the zenith makes the game not fun once you get it,thats why for me the terrarian is truly the ultimate weapon
This weapon beats zenith dps... cuz its like a melee machine gun that do 3k - 4k (if you built uber damage + menacing built)

b) Lunar Flare, the forgotten book
